Abstract

The problem in this study is the low economic learning outcomes of students in the learning process. This study aims to determine the improvement of economic learning outcomes on the subject of monetary economic policy and fiscal economic policy of class Xl SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar Learning Year 2023-2024 by applying a jigsaw type cooperative learning approach.This type of research is Classroom Action with quantitative methods Pretest and Post-test. The population of this study was class XI SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar which amounted to 175 people. Based on purposive sampling technique, the researcher took the research sample is 2 classes, namely class XI IPS 1 (experimental class) and class XI IPS 2 (control class) which amounted to 71 people. Data collection techniques in the study using pretest without applying the jigsaw type cooperative learning model and posttest by applying the jigsaw type cooperative learning model to the experimental class. The results of the average value of the pretest namely class XI IPS 1 66.29 and XI IPS 2 44.72. Then the results of the average value of the post-test is XI IPS 1 79.14 and XI IPS 2 70.27. Based on the results of data analysis and hypotheses tested, that the jigsaw type cooperative learning model affects student learning outcomes.Based on the statistical hypothesis test with paired samples test, the significance value is 0.000 <0.05 in the sense that the calculated statistical results (t output number) < table statistics (t table) it is concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus the Jigsaw Type Cooperative learning model affects the learning outcomes of students in class Xl SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This research aims to gain knowledge about how much influence teacher leadership and teacher communication skills have on student learning motivation in class X economics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Siantar T.A. 2023/2024.This research is quantitative in type. The sampling technique used a non-probability sampling technique of 70 respondents. Data collection techniques use questionnaires. Instrument testing uses normality tests and reliability tests. The data analysis technique uses classic assumption tests, namely normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and hypothesis testing, namely multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, f-test and coefficient of determination.Data from research and management of partial test data (t-test) shows that the variable The variable Simultaneous test data management (f-test) shows that F_count is 7.555 > F_table is 3.132 so it can be concluded that teacher leadership and teacher communication skills affect student learning motivation.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in social studies, where students tended to be passive and the learning process lacked variation. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning teaching model on students' learning outcomes. This study is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method. The research sample consisted of two classes: class VIII-B as the experimental group, which was taught using the Discovery Learning model, and class VIII-C as the control group, which was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through test instruments in the form of pre-test and post-test questions for both classes. The results showed a significant difference in student learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. Based on the hypothesis test (t-test), the t-count value of 5.12 was greater than the t-table value of 1.67 (at a 0.05 significance level). Thus, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This proves that there is a significant effect of implementing the Discovery Learning teaching model on students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of the Numbered Heads Together Cooperative Learning Model on Student Learning Scores in the Economics Subject of Class XI of Tamansiswa Private High School Pematangsiantar in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design through a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population consisted of all students of class XI Merdeka of Tamansiswa Private High School Pematangsiantar with a total of 102 students. The sample used in this study consisted of 2 classes, namely class XI Merdeka 7 as the control class and class XI Merdeka 8 as the experimental class with a total of 69 students. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the learning scores of students who do not use conventional methods obtain an average score of 79.892. While the learning scores of students who use the Numbered Heads Together cooperative model obtain an average score of 93.125. The t-test results also support this research, where the t-count value is 6.682 and the t-table value is 1.996, where the t-count > t-table with a significance level of 0.05. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model on student learning scores in the Economics subject of class XI at Tamansiswa Private High School, Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mind mapping and students’ intrinsic motivation on learning outcomes in economics subjects at SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of all tenth and eleventh grade students of SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar, totaling 362 students. The sample consisted of 133 students selected using cluster sampling techniques. Data collection techniques included observation, pre-test and post-test, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that simultaneously mind mapping and students’ intrinsic motivation had a significant effect on economics learning outcomes. This was proven by the F-test result with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, students’ intrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results also showed a strong and positive relationship between intrinsic motivation and learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient value of 0.78. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.61 indicated that 61% of the variation in learning outcomes could be explained by mind mapping and students’ intrinsic motivation variables, while the remaining percentage was influenced by other factors outside this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that students’ intrinsic motivation plays an important role in improving economics learning outcomes, and the application of mind mapping supported by intrinsic motivation can help improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPS yang masih didominasi oleh pendekatan teacher-centered, sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Selain itu, masih ditemukan siswa yang kurang aktif dalam diskusi, kurang fokus saat pembelajaran berlangsung, serta rendahnya partisipasi dalam kegiatan kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match dan kelas VIII-7 sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar berupa pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan pada kedua kelas penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh bahwa nilai t-hitung lebih besar dibandingkan t-tabel pada taraf signifikan 0,05, sehingga hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar.
