Abstract

The increasing demand on mobile applications to monitor and analyze market trends in the food industry necessitates a focus on usability to ensure that these tools are functional and user-friendly. The Panel Harga Pangan app, which is widely utilized by traders, consumers, and policymakers, provides essential information on food prices across many marketplaces. However, as its user base grows, correcting usability concerns becomes increasingly important to its sustained effectiveness and customer happiness. This article looks into the implementation of the People At The Center Of Mobile Application Development (PACMAD) usability concept on the panel harga pangan app and finally proposed the prototype to similar application. The PACMAD model, designed specifically for mobile applications, evaluates usability based on seven key criteria: effectiveness, efficiency, satisfaction, learnability, memorability, mistakes, and cognitive load. The application's effectiveness is approximately (62.5%), including efficiency (73.27%), satisfaction (64%), learnability (65.78%), memorability (70.93%), errors (68.59%), and cognitive load (72.72%). The study's findings show that the application has an average score of 68%, indicating that the program is neither particularly successful or satisfying. Issues such as less efficiency and higher error frequency diminish the overall user experience. The research includes specific recommendations for improving the app's usability, such as redesigning the user interface and optimizing onboarding processes. These findings aim to improve the user experience, ensuring that the panel harga pangan remains a reliable and user-friendly tool for its varied audience. The findings have significant consequences for applying the PACMAD model to other mobile agriculture applications.

Abstract

Phytoplankton is microscopic plants that live floating in the water column. Phytoplankton is organisms which lives depend on the quality of the water in a body of water. Phytoplankton also has a very important role in aquatic ecosystems. The function of phytoplankton as primary producers and links in the food web causes phytoplankton to often be used as a scale for measuring the fertility of waters. The aim of this research is to determine the diversity of phytoplankton as a bioindicator of water quality in the waters of Krueng Mane, North Aceh. The research was carried out in May 2024 in Krueng Mane waters using a purposive sampling method. A total of 16 types of phytoplankton were found. The types of phytoplankton that are most commonly found are Gyrososigma sp and Nitzschia sp which are included in the Bacillariophycea class. The total abundance of phytoplankton in this study ranged from 6350-7100 ind/l. In the research, the diversity index values ranged from 1.76 to 2.06, the uniformity index ranged from 0.80 to 0.85, the dominance index ranged from 0.17 to 0.20 and the saprobity index ranged from 0,35 to 1,00. The water quality parameter values are still in good condition for phytoplankton life

Abstract

Raja Ampat conservation area is divided into three zones: the core zone, the tourism zone, and the open zone. This region is crucial for sustainable fisheries and environmental management, yet it is under significant anthropogenic pressure. Accurate species detection is essential for inventory and diversity surveys, and environmental DNA (eDNA) methods have been shown to be more effective than conventional techniques. This study aimed to evaluate whether V9 primers could detect multispecies invertebrate compositions, assess community structure and contributions within each zone, and identify significant differences in invertebrate diversity among the zones. A total of 66 eDNA samples were collected from water and sediment columns across the three zones. Samples were extracted using the NucleoSpin„¢ kit (Macherey-Nagel) protocol, amplified with universal eukaryote primers targeting the 18S gene, and sequenced using Illumina MiSeq. Taxonomic analysis was performed using QIIME2 software and the SILVA database. The study identified 19 invertebrate species. The Shannon-Wiener (H') and Simpson (D) indices revealed greater species diversity in the core zone compared to the tourism and open zones. However, the Kruskal-Wallis test indicated no significant differences in species diversity across the zones. SIMPER analysis demonstrated a high percent contribution of species in each zone. This study highlights the effectiveness of eDNA methods for biodiversity assessment and offers valuable insights into invertebrate community structures within the Raja Ampat conservation area.

Abstract

Research on the diversity and density of Bivalvia populations as indicators of coastal ecosystem health, particularly using multivariate statistical approaches, remains limited in Lhokseumawe, Indonesia. This study aims to analyse the distribution and abundance of Bivalvia in the Cunda Strait mangrove ecosystem using multivariate statistical techniques. Field sampling was conducted in May 2024 at five observation stations, where Bivalvia were collected using a 1 x 1 m transect method. Data analysis included cluster analysis, non-metric multidimensional scaling (nMDS), analysis of similarity (ANOSIM), and similarity percentage analysis (SIMPER) to assess species diversity and population density. A total of 10 Bivalvia species, representing five genera and four families, were identified. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index ranged from 0.99 to 1.53, classifying the Bivalvia community into four distinct groups. Population density analysis revealed that Anadara sp2, Donax sp2, and Anadara sp1 exhibited the highest densities (4.80 ind/m², 2.80 ind/m², and 2.00 ind/m², respectively). Cluster and nMDS analyses further divided the Bivalvia density in the Cunda Strait into two distinct groups. The Bray-Curtis similarity index, applied by ANOSIM, indicated significant variation in the density of the Bivalvia population between observation stations (p < 0.05). SIMPER analysis identified Polymesoda sp as a key distinguishing species between multiple station pairs, including Stations 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, 1 and 5, 2 and 5, 3 and 5, and 4 and 5. Furthermore, Anadara sp2 was the main differentiating species between Stations 2 and 3, as well as between 2 and 4, while Anadara sp1 distinguished Stations 3 and 4. These findings highlight the spatial heterogeneity of Bivalvia communities in the Cunda Strait and underscore the utility of multivariate statistical approaches in coastal biodiversity assessments.

Abstract

Leiognathus daura is a small pelagic fish that plays an important role in coastal ecosystems and has economic value for local communities. This study aimed to analyze the length–weight relationship, condition factors, and morphological characteristics of L. daura as a basis for fisheries biology information. A total of 30 specimens were examined morphometrically and meristically. The length–weight regression produced the equation y = 0.9073x + 0.2776 with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.2595. The value of b = 0.9073 (< 3) indicates a negative allometric growth pattern, meaning that length increases faster than body weight. Condition factors showed a Fulton's K value of 3.8036 and a relative condition factor (Wr) of 101.0081, suggesting that the fish population is healthy and supported by a favorable aquatic environment. Morphologically, L. daura has a laterally compressed body, small terminal mouth, large eyes, silvery scales, and a forked caudal fin, all of which support schooling behavior and adaptation to shallow coastal waters. The low R² value implies that body weight is influenced by length and environmental conditions, food availability, reproductive status, and fishing pressure. These findings highlight the importance of understanding the biological aspects of L. daura as a foundation for sustainable fisheries management in coastal ecosystems
