Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a workshop in improving school principals' perceptions regarding deep learning implementation using the RADEC model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) in Bandung City, Indonesia. Using a weak experiment design with one group pretest-posttest non-control method and 14 perception indicators, Mann–Whitney U analysis revealed that the workshop significantly improved principals' understanding in 10 of 14 indicators (p < 0.05), particularly on RADEC syntax stages and their contribution to 21st-century skills. However, three foundational deep learning principles (joyful, meaningful, mindful learning) and the Answer stage showed strong understanding prior to the workshop (p > 0.05), indicating the workshop successfully closed knowledge gaps in technical RADEC aspects. Although effectiveness is limited to the perception dimension rather than direct implementation impact, these findings confirm the workshop was effective as a cognitive foundation for adopting innovative pedagogy. The study recommends: (1) continuous mentoring to transform perception into practice; (2) intensive coaching program by the Education Office through lesson study and community of practice; (3) integration of technical and philosophical dimensions in professional development initiatives. The research implies that while workshops are crucial, they are insufficient educational transformation requires a systemic support ecosystem connecting knowledge with implementation at the school level.

Abstract

Economic growth is an economic issue and has become one of the important phenomena experienced by several developed and developing countries. High economic development is a target to be achieved, especially for developing countries. This study aims to identify the influence of the Cultural Development Index (CDI) in four dimensions: Cultural Economy (CEC), Cultural Heritage (CH), Cultural Expression (CEX), and Gender (GP) on the rate of economic growth (ERG). This study uses the Generalized Method of Moment (GMM) with data taken from secondary sources, namely the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA), the Ministry of Culture, and the Directorate General of Regional Development – Ministry of Home Affairs, using data from 32 provinces in Indonesia from 2018 to 2023. The estimation results using the GMM method show that the ratio of effectiveness in CEC results has a positive and significant effect, the ratio variable in CH has a positive and significant effect, The CEX ratio variable has a negative and significant effect, while the GP ratio variable has no significant effect.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of regional financial performance and economic growth on key social development indicators in Indonesia, namely poverty, unemployment, and stunting. Using panel data from 34 provinces for 2016–2023, the analysis employs the System Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) to address endogeneity and dynamic panel bias. The results show that Regional Own Source Revenue effectiveness ratio (ER1) significantly reduces poverty and unemployment, indicating that improved revenue realization enhances the fiscal capacity of local governments to provide essential public services and support employment. The regional independence ratio (IR) has a significant negative effect on stunting, suggesting that stronger fiscal autonomy enables better funding for maternal and child health interventions. Economic growth significantly lowers poverty and unemployment but has no significant effect on stunting. Meanwhile, the Gini Ratio exhibits a strong positive effect on stunting, highlighting income inequality as a major barrier to achieving better child nutrition outcomes.
