Abstract

Mata kuliah Game Learning adalah mata kuliah berbasis proyek berupa pembuatan desain pembelajaran serta media pembelajaran game edukasi. Namun, pembelajaran berbasis proyek merupakan salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang cukup menantang untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Oleh karena itu, kita perlu mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis proyek yang diselenggarakan selama masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mixed method) dengan rancangan explanatory. Data kuantitatif dan kualitatif dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Game Learning yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dilaksanakan pada semester genap 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan beberapa keterbatasan. Kesimpulannya adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan merancang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran untuk memastikan setiap anggota kelompok dapat berkontribusi terhadap proyek secara efektif.

Abstract

The research aims to improve the quality of students content writing in biology through implementation of Project Based Learning model. The research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the subjects of this research were students of class XI MIPA 6 SMA N 4 Surakarta are 32 learners. Research conducted by the cyclical phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research data was collected through observation, documentation, and interviews, which are equipped with a writing rubric skills. Data validation method using triangulation techniques. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis: reduction, presentation, and verification of data. The results showed an increase in the quality of learners writing the content for the application of the model Project Based Learning in learning biology.

Abstract

This research is to know the effect of biology-based inquiry learning to the improveof students critical thinking skillsin State Senior High School 1 Sembalun on academic year 2017/2018.The research was done in State Senior High School 1 Sembalun and sample on research is class X of IPA toward 29 students. Instrument use in this reseach was essay test. Based on research result show gotten a score of pretest average value is 61.66 and a score of critical thinking skills posttest is 80.86, while average value of gain is 0,51 with a middle category. The research can be concluded that biology-based inquiry learning influence improve of students critical thinking skill in class X of IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Karas Kabupaten Magetan tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Sampel penelitian diambil secara simpelrandom sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 59 orang peserta didik yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas kontrol dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal tes pilihan ganda dan soal tes essay. Hasil belajar dalam penelitian ini dibatasi hanya pada ranah kognitif saja. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik di kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 81,13 termasuk ke dalam kategori baik dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,71 termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan rerata nilai hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik di kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 65,25 termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,49 termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang.Hasil analisis data statistik menggunakan aplikasi SPSS v.21 menunjukkan bahwa data hasil penelitian kelas eksperimen tidak berdistribusi normal sehingga uji statistik selanjutnya digunakan uji Mann-Whitney Udengan nilai taraf signifikan sebesar 0,05.Hasil uji Mann-Whitney U menunjukkan nilai Sig (2-tailed)0,00<0,005 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan atara hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik

Abstract

Problem-solving skills are the skills essential for students to have. This research aimed to analyze the problem-solving skills of senior high school students in biology learning of excretory system topics. The method used was descriptive-quantitative. The data were collected using a problem-solving essay test. The subjects were the eleventh-grade students of senior high schools in Surakarta, who were divided into A category (upper class) and B category (low level). Based on the analysis result, it can be seen that the problem-solving skill achievement of the eleventh grade of A group includes: defining the problem (50.78%), examining the problem (40.62%), planning a solution (19.53%), implementing the solution (37.50%), and evaluating (40.62%); while that of B category includes: Defining the problem (46.35%), examining the issue (34.67%), planning a solution (18.54%), implementing the solution (20.96%), and evaluating (32.25%). The lowest percentage in both categories was found in planning the solution and evaluating. Based on the result, the average problem-solving skills in A group is 37.81% and B Category 32,26%. Based on the data, it can be concluded that students' problem-solving skills in A and B categories are still low. The skills can be improved by conducting problem-solving based learning and familiarizing students to solve problems according to problem-solving stages.

Abstract

Reasoning skills of students may be improved through a sort of feedback constructed in the dynamic assessment. The research aims to analyze the effect of dynamic assessment on high school biology students' reasoning skills. The research employs a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants were students of grade X Science Program (N=61), which were selected purposively. Data on reasoning skills was collected by pretest and posttest focused on the concepts of bacteria. with dynamic assessment method. The data analysis technique employs an Independent sample t-test. The research result indicate that Dynamic Assessment provides better effect on students’ reasoning skills in Bacteria material.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students internalization character through the implementation of learning model SETS (Science Environment Technology and Society) in class XI IPA 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar academic year 2016/2017. This research is an action research (Classroom Action Research), was held two cycles. Each cycle consists of three stages: planning, execution and observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar academic year 2016/2017. The data research obtained through observation, tests, self-assessment questionnaires and friends, and interviews. The validity of the data using triangulation techniques. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research procedures using spiral model Kemmis and Mc Taggart.Aspects of the character values of students researched were honest, disciplined, hard working, creative, independent, curious, caring environment, and responsibility. The results of attitude observation 76.9%, student self-assessment 80.8%, and friend assessment 76.5%. Student achievement scores on internalizing character prasiklus 41,3%, 60,8% the first cycle and the second cycle 78.1%.Based on these research it can be concluded that the implementation of learning models SETS (Science Environment Technology and Society) can improve the character internalizationtowards the eleventh grade students of science 2 program  (XI IPA 2)at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. Keywords: SETS (Environment Science Technology and Society), internalizationcharacter, character education

Abstract

The study aims to identify the argumentation profile of high school students in learning in the covid-19 era. This research is quantitative descriptive with a survey method. The research population was 172 students, with a sample of 72 students. Determination of the sample using cluster random sampling technique has a balanced quality from the results of the paired F test. The research procedure was carried out by collecting data on student answers from argumentative essay questions distributed via a google form. Argumentative questions based on TAP contain six components, namely Evidence (E), Warrant (W), Backing (B), Qualifier (Q), Rebuttal (R), and Claim (C). The argumentation scoring rubric is calculated based on the Patton-Pickle rule. Data analysis was carried out by interpreting the scores obtained by students on each argumentation component that showed the argumentation profile. Most of the students' argumentation profiles, according to their components, are in the very low category scores, namely 0.5 and 1. A score of 0.5 is obtained by comparing the percentages of students: E: E: W: W: B: Q: R: C: C: C by 23.61%: 1.39%: 0.00%: 52.78%: 45.83%: 83.33 %: 4.17%: 2.78%: 2.78%: 0.00% while the score of 1 is 41.67%: 55.56%: 83.33%: 47.22%: 54.17%: 8.33%: 75.00%: 83.33%: 79.17%: 98 ,61%. Scores were obtained due to various factors, including the learning process that was less meaningful, students' understanding and reasoning of the material was not in-depth, the generalization process of evidence or theory was not appropriate.

Abstract

The ability to compile concept maps is strongly influenced by the knowledge possessed. This research aims to describe students' Concept Maps scores on environmental pollution during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research includes a quantitative descriptive using a survey method with a population of 210 high school students. Data collection uses a Google form that asks students to make Concept Maps at the end of learning environmental pollution material. The researcher then assesses and determines the score of each student. Student scores are then combined and an average is obtained. The results showed that the largest percentage was owned by a valid relationship component of 9.75%, followed by a hierarchical component with a percentage of 7.34% and a branching component with a percentage of 3.42%. The pattern component is the fourth component with a percentage of 1.31%, followed by an example component with a percentage of 1.30% and the last component is a crosslink with a percentage of 0%. Acquired student concept map scores can be used to assess student learning outcomes so it is hoped that this research can be an evaluation material for students and teachers.

Abstract

STEM (Science, Technology, Education, and Mathematics) adalah salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran sains terintegrasi yang bermanfaat untuk melatihkan problem solving skills dan keterampilan abad 21, serta menjadi salah satu model pembelajaran inovatif yang disarankan untuk diterapkan di kelas sains. Permasalahannya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru tentang STEM, sehingga hampir tidak ada yang menerapkannya. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan wawasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru bagaimana mendesain dan menerapkan STEM, terutama pada masa pandemi. Mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru Biologi yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Biologi Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah dan guru-guru Biologi anggota Persatuan Pendidik Biologi Indonesia Folia (PPBIF) cabang Jawa Tengah (N=53). Kegiatan ini berupa workshop yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 5 pertemuan secara online dengan tema: Pengantar STEM, Problem-based Learning dan Project-based Learning, STEM@Home, Desain STEM, dan Evaluasi STEM. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun Desain STEM dan rencana pembelajarannya. Persepsi guru tentang STEM juga meningkat terkait dengan aspek-aspek yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penerapan STEM@Home pada masa pandemi. Diperlukan implementasi STEM lebih lanjut di kelas pembelajaran jarak jauh untuk melihat keefektifan pendampingan
