Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa potensi penerapan STEAM dalam Pembelajaran Konsep Kalor dan Perpindahannya di MTs Nurul Ulum Mranggen Demak Kelas 7 semester gasal 30 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Tenik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket tentang potensi penerapan STEAM  dalam pembelajaran Konsep Kalor dan Perpindahannya. Hasil penelitian ini yakni potensi penerapan  STEAM  dalam pembelajaran  Kalor dan perpindahannya sangat  besar  untuk  dilaksanakan  agar  pembelajaran pencemaran lingkungan dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi penerapan pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) pada pembelajaran Projek IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) di SMK. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode diskriptif kulitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data meliputi teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian adalah guru-guru pengampu mata pelajaran Projek IPAS SMK di Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mata pelajaran Projek IPAS (Ilmu pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) memiliki pemahaman pendekatan STEAM yang berpotensi untuk mendukung penerapan pendekatan STEAM pada pembelajaran Projek IPAS di SMK sebesar 76,85%. Kebiasaan guru dalam pembelajaran juga sudah mengintegrasikan indikator-indikator pendekatan STEAM sebesar 86,39%, sehingga guru sudah memiliki ketrampilan untuk menerapkan pendekatan STEAM pada pembelajaran Projek IPAS. Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan STEAM sebesar 49,31% sehingga tidak berpotensi menjadi penghambat penerapan pendekatan STEAM pada pembelajaran Projek IPAS di SMK, dari ketiga hal tersebut disimpulkan bahwa terdapat potensi penerapan pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) pada pembelajaran Projek IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Dan Sosial) di SMK.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem-solving ability profile of students in biology learning at MA Darul Muqorrobin. This research is descriptive qualitative with the technique of collecting data which is netted with a problem-solving ability test in biology learning. The subject in this study is students of class X MA Darul Muqorrobin for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 53 people. Generally, the problem solving ability of students in biology learning at MA Darul Muqorrobin is in poor criteria where the indicators of understanding the problem are 51% (not good), designing problem solving 32% (not good), implementing problem solving 38% (not good) and recheck the troubleshooting result of 37% (not good). To improve problem-solving skills in biology learning, teachers need to apply problem-based learning models and media and create a learning environment that supports problem-solving methods that can increase students' learning activities, motivation and cognitive abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the environmental literacy profile of students at MTs Nahdlatul Ulama Mranggen. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The research technique is a survey with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were students at MTs Nahdlatul Ulama Mranggen. The location of this research was at MTs Nahdlatul Ulama Mranggen, Demak Regency, for the academic year 2021-2022. The results of the study from a sample of 53 students showed that students' ecological knowledge was included in the sufficient criteria, namely 48.3%, The environmental literacy of students in general is in good criteria, namely 68.61%. From this research, it is necessary to provide environmental literacy to students. It is hoped that this research can improve environmental literacy in flood disaster mitigation for students at MTs. Nahdlatul Ulama Mranggen.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential application of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) in environmental pollution learning at MTs Negeri 3 Demak. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observations and questionnaires about the potential application of STEAM in learning environmental pollution. The type of sampling used in this research is cluster random sampling, which is the sampling technique with certain considerations. The data collection method used the documentation analysis method so that the researchers analyzed the documents resulting from the research questionnaire. The data analysis method used is the Miles and Huberman model starting with data collection, data presentation, data reduction, conclusion drawing and verification. The population is science teachers throughout Demak district, totaling 135 teachers, with 24 teachers as the sample. The results showed that there were 62.5% of teachers who understood STEAM. There are 25% of teachers who have applied STEAM. Eligibility to use STEAM was given 83.3%. The data above shows that the application of STEAM at the SMP or MTs level has the potential to improve the quality of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an important element which students have in the school. However, the critical thinking in the students nowadays is in the lower level.  Junior high school students need to have good critical thinking skills, so that they are able to compete in the current and future era of information and globalization. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in integrated science learning (biology). The indicators used in this study from Ennis include: giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics. The subjects of this study were 32 students of Grade 9 Junior High School. This research uses a descriptive method. The data collection technique is purposive sampling. The method used is observation and tests. Data collection instruments consist of critical thinking skills instruments. The results showed that the profile of critical thinking skills of SMP N 2 Karanganyar students on average was 67.08% in the good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan model pembelajaran project based learning untuk mengembangkan ketrampilan abad 21 yakni kreativitas dan inovasi pada siswa di sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Aspek pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi konten, proses, produk dan lingkungan belajar yang di implementasikan dalam model pembelajaran project based learning dengan kegiatan perencanaan proyek, pelaksanaan proyek dan kunjung karya (Gallery Walk). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan model project based learning mampu menciptakan iklim pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna serta dapat mengembangkan ketrampilan kreativitas dan inovasi siswa SMP yang merupakan salah satu ketrampilan abad 21, hal ini dibuktikan dengan implementasi pembelajaran yang berjalan sesuai dengan rencana dan menghasilkan suasana pembelajaran yang memberikan kebebasan bagi siswa dalam mengekspresikan potensi sesuai minat dan kemampuan, serta hasil penilaian ketrampilan kreativitas dan inovasi pada seluruh kegiatan proyek menunjukan kategori kreatif hingga sangat kreatif.

Abstract

The learning model is needed so that students are actively involved in exploring and applying material concepts well. One is the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) model, which can be used in the physics learning process, such as understanding concepts and their application in life. This study aims to test the effectiveness and determine the quality level of an ESD-based POE learning module. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method through a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research occurred at SMK Muhammadiyah Lasem, and the sample was class X students. The instruments used were validation sheets and test sheets (posttest-pretest). The quality of the module is determined based on the categorization of validity, while the effectiveness is analyzed through the N-gain statistical test of critical thinking skills from the results of the pretest and posttest. According to material and media experts, the developed ESD-based POE module was very valid. The critical thinking skills demonstrated by N-gain also experienced a significant increase in the experimental class, which was 0.535, compared to the control class, which gained 0.12. The N-gain score of the experiment class is in the high category, and these results indicate that the ESD-based POE learning module effectively involves students actively in learning and applying the concepts they learn. Abstrak. Model pembelajaran diperlukan agar peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam mengeksplorasi dan menerapkan konsep materi dengan baik. Salah satunya yaitu model POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) yang dapat digunakan pada proses belajar fisika seperti memahami konsep-konsep serta penerapannya dalam kehidupan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguji keefektivan dan mengetahui tingkat kualitas sebuah modul pembelajaran POE berbasis ESD. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre eksperimental melalui one group pretest posttest design. Penelitian bertempat di SMK Muhammadiyah Lasem dan sampelnya peserta didik kelas X. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan lembar tes (posttest-pretest). Kualitas modul ditentukan berdasarkan kategorisasi kevalidan, sedangkan keefektivan dianalisis melalui uji statistic N-gain keterampilan berpikir kritis dari hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul POE berbasis ESD yang dikembangkan sangat valid baik menurut ahli materi maupun ahli media. Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang ditunjukkan oleh N-gain juga mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 0,535 dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang memperoleh 0,12. Skor N-gain kelas eksperimen tergolong kategori tinggi dan hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran POE berbasis ESD efektif untuk melibatkan peserta didik aktif dalam pembelajaran dan menerapkan konsep yang dipelajarinya.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the characteristics of developing Web-Based Science Learning Media using the STEAM approach. This research is development research using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Thiagarajan 4-D Model which consists of definition, design, development and implementation. Based on the validation results from experts and practitioners, the results are very suitable for use and have character because they have an attractive design, ease of use, and color selection that utilizes color psychology. The features provided are very responsive to learning needs, with an effective project-based STEAM learning flow using scaffolding. Users also have access to Google Data Studio to monitor the progress of each student's STEAM stages and processes. Discussion forums provide flexible interaction and feedback, while STEAM learning modules can be downloaded by teachers for more specific learning situations. The conclusion is that the website developed has unique and unique characteristics that combine color, a project-based STEAM learning flow with a real-time scaffolding system and presents features that make it easier for students to learn

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in SMK requires science learning to be carried out across disciplines through projects. This study aims to examine the potential and implementation of learning "IPAS project" oriented to the STEAM approach as an implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in SMK. The research was conducted using a survey method with a qualitative descriptive approach involving 48 respondents representing 34 out of 163 vocational schools in Central Java. The instrument used is a questionnaire consisting of three open questions about expectations, obstacles and efforts to overcome them; as well as a five-aspect questionnaire on the profile of teachers' understanding of the application of STEAM-based "IPAS Project" learning in the Merdeka curriculum in SMK. Qualitative descriptive analysis is carried out by data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that although we have understood aspects of the independent curriculum in learning "IPAS Project", there are still obstacles, especially in the application of the STEAM approach. As for the profile of teachers' understanding of the application of STEAM-based "IPAS project" learning in the Merdeka curriculum in SMK, most teachers already have an understanding of the learning concept of "IPAS project" and in its application have involved many students in the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum. But in understanding the concept of STEAM, most teachers still don't master it well. Likewise, in terms of experience in applying the STEAM approach in "IPAS project", not many teachers have applied it in a structured and systematic manner. Based on this, it is recommended that to reduce the gap in expectations and constraints for vocational teachers, an LMS platform is needed to bridge the implementation of STEAM-based "IPAS Project".
