Abstract

The participation of Bobby Nasution and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2020 Regional Head Election contestation drew various reactions from the public. There are pros, some are cons. Researchers found that everything in accordance with Bobby Nasution and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will always be linked to the President Joko Widodo. President Joko Widodo is said to have built dynastic politics with the participation of his son-in-law and eldest son. After the contestation was over and it turned out that Bobby Nasution and Gibran Rakabuming Raka won in their respective constituencies, it further increased their conversation and news. Researchers monitored opinions before and after the official inauguration of Bobby Nasution as Mayor of Medan and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as Mayor of Surakarta. By using the netnography method, researchers conducted monitoring with the help of the Brand24 media monitoring tools from February 18 to February 27, 2021. The results showed that more of their news and opinions in the digital realm had positive sentiments. However, researchers also monitored “Politik Dinasti” keywords. The results show that negative sentiment is higher than positive sentiment. Opinions related to dynastic politics were dominated by public tweets about the election of Bobby and Gibran, not forgetting to link them to President Joko Widodo.This research on public opinion can be an evaluation for Bobby and Gibran's communication team in conducting political branding. The political communication strategy of Bobby and Gibran must be better maintained because their every move will always be associated with President Joko Widodo.

Abstract

Desa Pasirlangu dikenal sebagai daerah penghasil paprika. Ada kekhawatiran dari beberapa pihak atas keberlanjutan Desa Pasirlangu sebagai lumbung paprika dikarenakan kecenderungan generasi penerus yang kurang antusias untuk melanjutkan kiprah para pendahulunya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memotret dan memahami pola komunikasi pertanian masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan tradisi studi kasus, sehingga data diambil dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi dari beberapa narasumber. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa ada dua pola komunikasi yang terjadi yaitu pola komunikasi petani individu dan petani kelompok. Pola komunikasi petani individu dikategorikan sebagai pola komunikasi primer dan sekunder. Karena petani individu satu dengan yang lain berkomunikasi secara langsung dan menggunakan media elektronik handphone melalui aplikasi pesan. Sedangkan, pola komunikasi petani kelompokdikategorikan sebagai pola komunikasi primer, sekunder, dan sirkular. Karena dalam proses mencari dan membagi informasi pada petani yang lain khususnya kelompok yang menjadi opinion leader adalah ketua kelompok. Selain itu, karena para kelompok tani juga berkomunikasi secara langsung dan bermedia elektronik berupa handphone melalui aplikasi.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penggunaan website kini sudah bersifat komunikasi dua arah, salah satu kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan melalui website adalah berbelanja online. Sayangnya, banyak website yang masih sulit diakses oleh pengguna dengan disabilitas karena belum mematuhi pedoman Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Padahal 50% konsumen difabel menggunakan e-commerce setiap minggunya. Ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumen difabel memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi pelanggan aktif dengan volume transaksi yang signifikan di sektor e-commerce (Safari & Anggraini, 2022). Shopee menjadi marketplace online pilihan utama masyarakat. Website Shopee dikunjungi oleh 165 juta orang pada tahun 2022. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana aksesibilitas website Shopee. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melakukan evaluasi. TAW dan aXe Devtools digunakan sebagai alat pengujian aksesibilitas dengan kriteria WCAG 2.1 sebagai standar penilaian. Hasil: Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa permasalahan aksesibilitas website Shopee yang utama berada pada kategori perceiveable yang berdampak terhadap kemampuan pengguna untuk memahami dan memanfaatkan informasi yang tersedia di website Shopee dengan baik. Dimana text alternatives dan contrast merupakan isu terbanyak yang menghambat pengguna yang memiliki gangguan penglihatan. Pada kategori operable, berkaitan dengan kemampuan pengguna untuk berinteraksi dan menavigasi website dengan lancar. Permasalahan berada pada kriteria focus order dan keyboard accesible dapat menghambat orang-orang dengan keterbatasan mobilitas. Meskipun demikian, tingkat kepatuhan website Shopee berada pada level AA (menengah). Tingkat ini berarti bahwa informasi dan fitur-fitur yang tersedia di website Shopee dapat diakses dan dimanfaatkan dengan relatif mudah oleh masyarakat luas, termasuk penyandang disabilitas.

Abstract

As stated in the Public Information Disclosure Act, Government Public Relations bears a dual responsibility, managing both the main website of the regional government and the PPID (Information and Documentation Management Official) websites. This research analyzes the content of the PPID websites of 29 districts and 6 cities in Central Java Province. This research used a website assessment instrument consisting of 84 questions. This instrument is a modification of the Industrial Website Evaluation Model which focuses on information quality and information disclosure policies in Indonesia. The research results indicate that the implementation of the public information disclosure policy has not yet fully aligned with government public relations ethics. Several aspects still require improvement. Government Public Relations needs to focus on empathy in managing the PPID website and needs to acknowledge the behavior of the public who tend to access the main website belonging to each institution, not the PPID website. Therefore, government public relations needs to distinguish between the content of the main website and the PPID website. However, commitment is required in managing the PPID website to ensure that people are motivated to access information and can do so effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the activities of Digital Public Relations in the Instagram Ortuseight account and to evaluate. This research uses the concept of Digital Public as an analytical knife. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques interview, observation, and literature study. Digital PR activities are activities of PR practitioners to be able to present messages that can help Ortuseight's branding. So that this account doesn't look too marketable, the caption that accompanies the image is made in a storytelling style. In building social media Instagram Ortuseight accounts, use SEO and Instagram ads. Making professional athletes as sport brand ambassadors by considering the athlete's credibility. Rizky Ridho has carried out his role as Ortuseight's Brand Ambassador well. In the future, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the Instagram Ortuseight platform.

Abstract

Background: The tight business competition in Indonesia has made branding practitioners develop the most effective strategy to increase brand awareness by collaborating with influencers. In Indonesia, the number of influencers increases annually. One of the biggest is Insta-moms, mom influencers, or momfluencers. Momfluencers have challenges to ensure that their content does not violate ethics, such as advertising rules, and does not mislead the audience. Unfortunately, their lack of awareness of influencer ethics lets them create content based on briefs from clients or management and rely on their common sense. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the contents of momfluencers, as micro-influencers, through an ethical perspective. Methods: We conducted a quantitative content analysis of 569 posts from 12 momfluencers. Results: Momfluencers’ posts predominantly consist of commercial content in videos or reels featuring influencer portraits with long descriptions. Ethically, momfluencers fail to meet the ethical norms. Aspects that have not been fulfilled are interaction with the audience, respect, participatory activities, social responsibility, connectedness, and loyalty. Meanwhile, aspects that have been fulfilled are trustworthiness, expertise or credibility, appearance, content quality, and communication quality. This study also found two potential ethics violations of momfluencer, engagement bias, and sharenting. Conclusion: Influencers have become an industry. Normalizing unethical practices due to a lack of information should be avoided. Influencer management and influencers under their auspices should know what is permissible and impermissible in their roles. Although there is no code of ethics for influencers in Indonesia, rules for public relations, journalism, and advertising can be a guide. Implications: The results of this study could be an evaluation for influencers in Indonesia and can be input for formulating an influencer code of ethics in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Since new media is developing, it is important to examine new media literacy, especially in the era of 4.0. The government’s public relations also need new media literacy since the government needs to establish a harmonic relationship with the public to achieve sympathy, trust, teamwork, and support in government policy implementation. Purpose: This research aims to evaluate the digital competence of members of government public relations in the Magelang government apparatus forum. Methods: Digital competence is measured by questionnaires of functional and critical prosuming. This research uses a quantitative survey method. The survey includes the assessment of beliefs, opinions, and characteristics by using questionnaires. Questionnaires are used to collect the data by using items of questions for respondents. The research object is the government apparatus in Magelang, while the respondents are government public relations officers. The quantitative method is expected to comprehensively describe digital literacy by government public relations officers in the Magelang government apparatus. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. Conclusion: Based on data analysis, members of government public relations in the Magelang government apparatus forum agree that they have functional and critical prosuming. Implications: This research implies local government of Magelang to improve new media literacy for local government public relations so the government can achieve the public relations objective of harmonic relationship establishment with the public.

Abstract

The literacy culture in Ngepanrejo Village still needs to be more profound. One effective way to raise awareness of the importance of literacy was creating a literacy house. This article aims to describe the role of the "Gubuk Bhavana" Literacy House in fostering a literacy culture in the Ngepanrejo Village community. This program used some methods, such as lectures, tutoring, problem-based learning, direct one-on-one communication, and focus group discussion. The role of the "Gubuk Bhavana" Literacy House in fostering a culture of literacy in the community is as follows: first, facilitate a reading place in the Literacy House located in Posong Hamlet and 5 Literacy Corners spread across the village as attractive as possible to create a comfortable atmosphere. Second, a collection of books tailored to the target readership was provided, such as those tailored to the work of the people of Ngepanrejo Village, from elementary and middle school students homemakers, and farmers. Third, conducted teaching to elementary school students and regular discussions with film screenings. Fourth, new skills training for homemakers was conducted. Fifth, the formation of an information-aware community. In the future, "Gubuk Bhavana" needs the involvement of religious figures to share the vision of this program so it could maximize the effectiveness of "Gubuk Bhavana" Literacy House.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pilpres 2024 memicu banyak polemik di kalangan masyarakat. Majunya Gibran sebagai cawapres mendamping Prabowo dinilai tidak etis. Pasalnya berdasarkan putusan MK 141/PUU-XXI/2023, Gibran tidak memenuhi syarat usia minimal. Bukan bertindak sebagaimana mestinya, Radar Semarang justru menjadi wadah kandidat 02 untuk berkampanye dalam bentuk produk jurnalistik. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui framing yang dibangun media online Radar Semarang pada pemberitaan Prabowo Gibran. Metode: Analisis yang digunakan adalah konsep framing Robert Entman melalui empat perangkat analisis yaitu define problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, dan treatment recommendation. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivistik. Teknik pengumpulan data dimulai pada tanggal 2-31 Januari 2024. Periode tersebut dipilih karena mendekati masa akhir sekaligus masa tenang kampanye Pilpres 2024. Setelah melalui seleksi data, terpilih 19 artikel. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembingkaian berita yang dilakukan media online Radar Semarang terhadap isu pemilihan presiden dan wakil presiden Prabowo Gibran menunjukkan adanya keberpihakan. Keberpihakan dapat dilihat dari dominasi Prabowo Gibran pada berita pilpres 2024, penekanan terhadap judul maupun isi berita yang mengarah pada kesan baik, penggunaan metafora yang cenderung menjatuhkan kandidat lawan, menampilkan fakta yang dikehendaki media juga memasukan propaganda kepentingan beberapa pihak. Dari sisi jurnalistik, wartawan belum menerapkan prinsip cover both side dalam membuat produk jurnalistik. Hal ini menyebabkan peran Radar Semarang sebagai arus komunikasi politik tidak berjalan dengan baik. Radar Semarang berusaha menjadi wadah membangun citra bagi Prabowo Gibran untuk berkampanye demi memperoleh dukungan suara. Oleh karenanya, konstruksi realitas yang dilakukan Radar Semarang mampu menggiring opini publik.

Abstract

Background: Television and film research must be continuously updated due to media convergence. Moreover, Indonesia experienced an analog switch-off event that changed how television viewers consume television shows. Furthermore, the pattern of Indonesian film consumption has also changed since the existence of over-the-top streaming platforms, which have continued to grow. Purpose: This study aims to conduct bibliometric research on articles in the ProTVF Journal published from 2017 to 2024. Methods: This study analyzes 107 articles in the ProTVF Journal from the Google Scholar and Dimension database between 2017 and 2024. This study uses VOSviewer, Dimension, and Litmaps to assist in visualization and analysis. Results: Articles in the ProTVF journal were dominated by qualitative methods, followed by quantitative and mixed methods. Among the qualitative methods, qualitative descriptive techniques are the most frequently used, followed by semiotic and discourse analysis. Then, there are five main topics: television studies, media convergence, analysis of television shows in the Indonesian context, audience research, and the young generation as viewers in the digital era. Conclusion: The publication trend in the ProTVF Journal increased from 2017 to 2024. Based on the focus on television or film, research focusing on films is higher than research related to television. Implications: This study is the first bibliometric study to comprehensively describe articles published in the ProTVF Journal since its establishment. The results can help film, television, and media researchers understand research trends, find research collaborators, and optimize the choice of research topics. Further research will likely involve scientific collaboration between authors from various institutions, especially policymakers in Indonesia's broadcasting, advertising, and film industries.
