Abstract

Literary works and poetry have distinctive characteristics in form, language style, and depth of meaning. Literary works include various forms such AS prose, drama, and poetry. The goal is often to describe the conditions of life, social values, character Psychology, and Inspire readers emotions and thoughts. Literary works provide reflection on the human experience and presenting deep interpretation of the surrounding world. This Research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The aim of this study was to analyze intrinsik Elements of Sapardi Djoko Domono's poetry, which then thoroughly describe these 7 Elements, from this study result there are several intrinsic Elements including, 1) Analyze the theme of poetry, 2). Diction, 3). Tone, 4). Imageryi, 5). Language style, 6). Typography). The results of an analyze of intrinsic Elements of poetry that researchers have carried out is a meaning container in the poetry "I want" That describes that by loving someone, we only need to give him happiness and comfort, because with serious simplicity that will have an impact on both love and love.

Abstract

Figurative languages is the way the delivery of messages indirectly or uses words that have implied meaning, not literal meaning. The goal is to give the impression more beautiful, attractive, or dramatic to an expression or sentence. Figurative language is often used in literature, poetry, proverbs and everyday Conversations to convey a deeper meaning or to express feelings in more creative ways. This Research uses a qualitative Description method. The purpose of this study analyzes the use of figurative language, especially metaphors, smiles, personification, and hyperbola, in Putu Wijaya short story. By reviewing these Elements of this style, the study aims to understand how figurative language increases the Narrative Wealth and deepening emotional relations with readers. Studies suggest that Putu Wijaya uses figurative language not only as a decorative tool but also as a means to deliver complex themes, cultural shades, and social criticism. Ultimately, this study highlights the Importance of figurative language in Literary works and its role in enriching readers experiences.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between the dynamics of the literary market, reading culture, and the development of the popularity of the novel genre. In this study, we discuss how social transformation, innovation in publishing technology, and shifts in reader preferences shaped the novel genre from the 18th century to the modern era. A historical approach and literary analysis are used to highlight the important role of publishers, book distribution, and technology in expanding the reach of novels to a wider audience.

Abstract

This research will analyze social changes in the main character in the novel Berkisar Merah by Ahmad Tohari. The novel Berkisar Merah is an object in this research, a novel with a background of a woman’s struggle in her life and Javanese culture in modern society which presents a new idea about cultural and social reconstruction which gives birth to new views, attitudes and ideas regarding humanitarian issues. The struggle of the female characters in the novel Bekisar Merah appears in an effort to fight all manifestations of gender injustice, in the form of subordination, stereotypes and violence. The struggle carried out by Lasi’s character takes the form of arguments for the spirit of equality through the vision of his novel, rejection of violence against women’s sexuality, as well as arguments for the truth about the meaning of women and men. Through the resistance of the female characters in the novel, it can be seen that the problem of male domination over women stems from gender issues, not sex. The aim of this research is to examine social changes in the main character in the novel Berkisar Merah by Ahmad Tohari. This type of research is qualitative research. The data in this research are words that come from novel quotations, and the data source in this research is the novel Berkisar Merah by Ahmad Tohari. The data collection technique used in this research is reading and taking notes. Data analysis technique by classifying data including social changes in the main character in the novel Berkisar Merah by Ahmad Tohari, marking the words and making conclusions.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the influence of social media on the formation and spread of slang among students at Muhammadiyah University, Maumere. Social media, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, are not only a means of interaction, but also a major catalyst in creating and disseminating new terms. This phenomenon reflects students’ linguistic creativity and is also a reflection of the dynamics of digital culture. In the context of Maumere Muhammadiyah University students, the use of slang is not just a trend, but also a tool to adapt to a dynamic social environment. New terms that are popular on social media are often adopted in daily conversations as symbols of modern and contemporary identity. However, this phenomenon also raises challenges, especially related to the preservation of formal language and traditional values in communication. This article discusses the characteristics of slang that emerges from social media, its role in forming social identity, and its impact on the use of formal language. In conclusion, social media plays a significant role in shaping student communication patterns, but efforts are needed to maintain a balance between language creativity and the use of standard language in formal contexts.

Abstract

The novel reveals Ally's life, which is not an ordinary life. Often she finds herself placed in a life that seems to belong to her, but is not. And suddenly the word "home" has a new meaning. Will Ally have the opportunity to go "home"? Will she be able to return to the love she left behind in another life? . This study aims to reveal the plot of the novel by Arleena and provide information and describe the plot in the novel Ally by Arleena. This research uses a description method. The data used in this Research are quotations in the novel Ally by Arleena. The data source in this Research is the novel Ally by Arleena. The results show that the plot of an unusual life that will make us think again about the meaning of life and the meaning of love is actually interesting.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the novel Rain by Tere Liye using an expressive literary criticism approach. This approach focuses on how the author’s personal experiences, feelings, and ideas contained in the work are reflected in the characters, plot, and language style used in the novel. This research uses qualitative methods with text analysis techniques and literature study to understand the meaning and messages contained in the novel. The result of the analysis show that the novel Rain contains the author’s emotional expression through dialogue, characters and narrative structure, which reflects the author’s inner struggles and life experiences. This research provides deeper insight into how literary works can be a medium for the writer’s personal expression that is able to influence readers emotionally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the character in the short rose's character finding her husband. The method used is qualitative. The data source from this study are from Dian Savitri's short story. The data analyzed in this study are sentence words. Paragraph, or quote related to the character's character in the short story of Dian Savitri. Data collection techniques are reading and observing Dian Savitri's short stories, and drawing conclusions. The result of this analysis shows that in the short story contains a character like antagonist and the protagonist.

Abstract

This Research aims to determine the influence of the use of slang among teenagers, especially among students. Slang is a Variation of language that develops among young people and is characterized by non-standard vocabulary, often influencer by popular culture and social media. This Research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to explore subjective understanding regarding the use of slang. The Research results show that slang can influence communication, social identity and the development of the Indonesian language. The use of slang allows for more relaxed communication and strengthens social relationship among teenagers. However, excessive use can interfere with understanding formal language, potentially causing misunderstandings and reducing good language skills in formal situations. Therefore, it is important to use slang wisely according to the context and situation.

Abstract

Feminism studies are studies that focus on the movement of women to gain freedom and determine themselves. In this beautiful novel Luka depicts the oppression of women during the Japanese colonial period. The beautiful novel Luka shows the resilience of a mixed Dutch and native woman who was detained by the Japanese army and had to be forced to work as a prostitute. The problem of this research is what is the psychological aspect of feminism analysis contained in the beautiful novel Luka by Eka Kurniawan? What is the social aspect of feminism analysis? contained in the novel "beautiful wound" by Eka Kurniawan. This research aims to find out: analysis of feminism, social aspects contained in the novel "beautiful wound" by Eka Kurniawan. The theory used by the author is mana sikana theory (2005), Ghajali, et al (1980), Ahmad Fauzi (1999). The authors used descriptive methods to conduct this research. The technique used was hermaneutic techniques. The type of research was library research. Research results (1) psychological aspects divided into character (character) thinking, taste, and emotional pressure (2) social aspects are divided into socialization process, social tasks, character (character) thinking, emotion, action, and reactions, flavors were found to be environmental factors and were influenced by age. Feelings of pressure were found to be frustration involving feelings of disappointment, sadness, sadness and suffering in each female character. Social aspects, especially the socialization process based on formal and informal education. Social tasks based on the role of wives and society. Social classes are based on lower, middle and upper class categories.
