Abstract

In Islamic boarding schools, there are often problems with methods that suit the needs of students, resulting in a decrease in the enthusiasm of students to learn the Qur'an and weakening their ability to pronounce makhorij al-huruf and the short length of harakat or punctuation marks in the Qur'an. Based on these problems, the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School applies the Yanbu'a method with the aim of improving the ability of students to read the Qur'an well and correctly according to makhorij al-huruf and master tajweed and gharib materials. This study uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. The data was analyzed with Miles and Humberman's theory, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study concluded that the implementation of the Yanbu'a method was able to improve the ability of students to read the Qur'an in accordance with Makhorij al-huruf and tajwid.
