Abstract

Information is an important element in every fragment of human life that can be obtained in various possible ways. One of them is data mining. Data mining can form certain knowledge model and discover related patterns from sets of big data. Data mining application with association rules method and fp-growth algorithm can be utilized to discover variables that work on graduation rate. This study focuses on graduation, especially in the Engineering Faculty of Universitas Riau. Variables used in this study are the ways to get into university, the origin of student’s high schools, the high schools’ region, study majors, gender, age, time of the study, and GPA (Grade Point Average). The information displayed through the mining process is the value from support, confidence, and final of each variable tested. The result of this study is displayed on a web based and can be used by the dean and the head of study majors to cognize their student's graduation rate. Moreover, the result can be used for making a decision, such as quotation of student admission.Keywords: Data Mining, Association Rules, FP-Growth, Graduation Rate, Web.

Abstract

This research is entitled Application of SG Filter to Hyperspectral Image of Palm Fruit Head. This research is motivated by one of the biggest sources of livelihood for the Indonesian people, namely oil palm plantations. In measuring the maturity level of oil palm fruit in the next process, there is an obstacle in the form of hyperspectral data having a lot of noise. As a result of the large amount of noise, the hyperspectral image is not good. The impact is that the hyperspectral image cannot be processed and a program is implemented to overcome the maturity level of the palm fruit. The purpose of this study is to provide a solution to the problem of the amount of noise in a hyperspectral image, thus making the hyperspectral image smoother. The solution is to use SG Filter with the help of MATLAB software. The stages of this research began with literature study, data collection, method application, comparison of results, and conclusions. This study uses the SG filter to smooth the data with the help of the MATLAB program. The result of this research is a hyperspectral image model which is smoother without much noise. Abstract

Bungaraya Subdistrict is one of the sub-districts in Siak Sri Indrapura Regency which continues to grow rapidly, starting with forest land and becoming productive plantation land as its population grows. In research conducted by the PPIG research team at the University of Riau, it has carried out mapping of Bungaraya District, the results of this study have provided the final result in the form of a visual form of the area. the distribution of land in Bungaraya Subdistrict, especially plantation land. Knowing the shape of the pattern of distribution of plantation land using the Average Nearest Neighbor method is a solution for monitoring land changes that occur. The purpose of this study was to observe and identify the distribution patterns of plantation land in Bungaraya District. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The identified plantation areas are then analyzed using the nearest neighbor analysis or Average Nearest Neighbor. The plantation land in Bungaraya Subdistrict is measured by a straight line distance between the centroid point of the plantation land and the centroid point of the nearest plantation land using the administrative map of the Bungaraya District land area through the Geographic Information System (GIS), namely ArcGIS. Analysis performed using manual calculations yielded 0.8 results, analysis using ArcGIS yielded 0.820553 results and analysis using pyhton programming yielded 0.7998641226905585 results, then the results of land distribution patterns in Bungaraya District were clustered (Clusstered). To see the accuracy of the results of the three analyzes, the test was carried out with the Confusion Matrix method from the test, which resulted in an accuracy of 98%. The clustering pattern becomes a reference material for the local government to make policies regarding land management that occurs.Keywords: Average Nearest Neighbor, Confusion Matrix, Plantation Land, Distribution Pattern

Abstract

In this increasingly modern era, technological development have been spreading to various fields. One of those fields is computer vision on recognizing various object. There are several methods that usually used on object recognition. Frame difference is one of those methods that popularly used on object recognition. The frame difference method detect an object by calculating the pixel differential of two or more picture. Vehicle license plate is one of the popular objects that is studied in the field of computer science. It is because the license plate recognation can be implemented on various field such as parking system, tax system, traffic violations detector system and many more. In general, research on vehicle license plate recognition is done on static image and not moving image. Therefore, the author done this detection of vehicle license plate potition on a video research with the hope that it can become a reference for the readers and the world of research in detecting number plates. This research was tested using 10 videos of moving motorcycle. The result show that the system was able to recognize and capture 7 out of 10 license plate. From the result we can see that the system reaches 70% on accuracy.Keyword: Ocject Recognition, License Plate Detection, Frame Difference

Abstract

At this time, technological developments have progressed so rapidly, one of which is in robotics with speech recognition as a robot mover. The use of speech recognition for interactively controlled robotic propulsion can replace the robot control system which is still manual. For this reason, the design and manufacture of a robotic arm movement system with the introduction of voice as a control. This study designed a system so that the robotic arm can be moved based on the voice commands intended for use handicapped (no hands) that utilizes voice signal extraction techniques by taking the pattern of voice commands generated by LPC and ANN methods. Based on the design results, controlling the robotic arm with voice recognition can be well detected. LPC method is used as feature extraction for speech recognition, while ANN with backpropagation algorithm is used for decision making from the resulting sound pattern. This study was tested with ten samples for each of the four speech recognition given. The study results show that the system can recognize the given sounds with an accuracy of 90% with a total of 40 test words from 4 types of words, namely right, left, clamp and release.Keyword: Voice Recognition, Arm Robot, Linear Predictive Coding, Artificial Neural Network.

Abstract

Arithmetic is a branch of mathematics that deals with 4 basic operations, namely addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Arithmetic lessons are very important because this knowledge will be used until adulthood for daily activities, but children or elementary school students have difficulty solving arithmetic problems. Based on research conducted by Phonapichat (2014) on grade 5 and 6 elementary school students, it is known that there are five student difficulties in solving math problems, some of which are, 1) Every student who does not understand the problem, they tend to guess the answer without thinking about it first. 2) Students are impatient and do not like to read math problems. 3) Students do not like to read very long problems. It is hoped that by using video games as a medium for learning arithmetic problem solving, children will put more effort into solving arithmetic problems. Because of the research conducted by (Norlita et al., 2020) obtained data from 75 respondents of elementary school students in grades 5 and 6 who play games on gadgets by 100%, often play games on gadgets by 45.3%, and play games more than 2 hours by 41.3%.. The author uses a maze so that the player cannot just choose a path because the player will be hit by a trap that has been prepared if the wrong path is chosen. To complete the level of the game, the player must get to the end point of the level. But to get to the end point, players must find the right path by answering arithmetic questions correctly. Abstract

In order to supply the water for laying hens farm in Kubu Cubadak Simpang Petai, the service team from University of Riau has designed a water purification system using the filtration technique. Before designing the filtration, sample of water from the well around the farm is taken and analyzed in the laboratory. Based on this result, the filtration is characterized to get the water satisfying the needs of the farm. There are two tubs in the filtration system containing silica sand, zeolite, and active carbon. Water from the well is pumped to the tank with three-meter height. From there, water is pumped back again to the tube to get the optimal water flow. The quality of water from the filtration have enhancement in terms of color, turbidity, and pH. The color and turbidity of water are improved from 41 NTU to 0 NTU and from 22,5 NTU to 5,59 NTU, respectively. Furthermore, there is an increasing in pH of water, from 5,44 to 6,32. These results have fulfilled the standard for laying hens farm.

Abstract

The hyperspectral imaging method has been widely and intensively used in agriculture to find out various problems that occur in plants. Image processing is very important step in an imaging method. This research aims to create Matlab based program to be used to analyze the leaf image of oil palm plants that has experienced water deficiency. Reflectance intensity values were extracted from the process. The hyperspectral imaging system consisted of a 650 nm diode laser, a spectrograph, monochrome CMOS camera, and Matlab image processing program. The samplesused were 8 month old Tenera variety of oil palm seedlings which were treated to simulate water deficiency in the form of variations in the volume of water, namely 0 mL (without watering), 1000 mL, 2000 mL, and 3000 mL (normal), 3 duplicates for each volume. The samples were given water volume of 1000 mL and 2000 mL for every 7 days in 21 days, while the sampleswith 3000 mL of water were watered every day. Image recording was done on the 21st day for detached leaves at the the bottom part.The results showed that the Matlab program was able to separate each row from 15 images, each of which had a pixel size of 1280 × 1024 and merge each of the same lines into 1024 images with a pixel size of 1280 × 15. The reflectance intensity values were then obtained. The results showed that higher levels of water deficiency in plants produce increasing reflectance intensity values.

Abstract

Hyperspectral images are three dimensional images which have two dimension spatial information and one  dimension spectral information. Hyperspectral image processing using Matlab program is preferable because it is more adaptive for many analysis purposes. This research was aimed  to construct Matlab to process and analyze the hyperspectral images of the roots of oil palm plants that have experienced water deficiency. The program was designed and constructed using a GUI . The use of a GUI aims to combine each pixel of the same line from each sample to produce a new image. The samples were roots  of oil palm plants that experienced simulated water deficiency by giving different water volumes of 0 mL, 1000 mL, 2000 mL and 3000 mL (normal). The optical method used in this study is a hyperspectral imaging method which has 650 nm diode laser  as the light source , spectrograph Specim Imspector V10 , and a  monochrome CMOS as a detector. Reflectance intensity versus wavelength  was extracted from each images and analyzed. The results showed that the Matlab GUI program that had been constructed was able to produce 1024 new images that had a pixel size of 15× 1280 from each sample. The results also show that the reflectance intensity values are higher at higher water deficiency of the oil palm roots.

Abstract

Biometrics is an automatic method for recognizing someone based on physical or behavioral characteristics, including biometric Face Recognition which is generally used for identification and verification. Identification is the process of recognizing and matching of a it is person's biometric data in a database that contains a person's character record. Verification is the process of information determining whether someone is in accordance with his/her look. In this research, a biometric attendance system designed using a tool called Rasberry Pi 3 (Mini Computer) for taking user face images (photo grid) then planting is eigenface algorithms and artificial neural network. Rasberry Pi often abbreviated as Raspi is a single board computer whereas whereas the it’s size same as credit card that can be used to run official programs, computer games and media player for high resolution videos. Eigenface algorithm is used for the process of recognizing facial patterns. Eigenface is an eigenvalue and eigenvector approach. Based on this approach the classification is done to recognize faces in training with objects that have been stored in the database. ANN is used because it has ability to learn from the data trained. With the design of this attendance system, it is expected to avoid negative things, for example, the loss of student attendance data because there are too many signatured papers in the attendence list for each subject. The results of testing face data used 3 hidden layers where the first layer has 32 neurons, the second layer has 18 neurons, and the third layer has 8 neurons. It concludes that the face recognition system succed to recognize somebody’s face as his/her photograph with accuracy of 100%.Keywords : Face Recognition, Raspberry Pi 3, Eigenface, Artificial Neural Network.
