Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi partisipasi politik pemilih pemula melalui pemanfaatan media sosial pada Pilpres 2024 di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Transformasi partisipasi politik pemilih pemula melalui pemanfaatan media sosial, khususnya platform seperti Instagram, Tiktok, dan Facebook, telah menjadi sarana utama bagi mahasiswa dalam berpartisipasi dalam politik. Pemilih pemula tidak hanya menggunakan media sosial sebagai alat untuk memperoleh informasi politik, tetapi juga untuk terlibat dalam diskusi, mengikuti kampanye politik, menonton video politik, dan berpartisipasi dalam petisi atau survei politik. Media sosial menyediakan ruang yang lebih dinamis dan fleksibel bagi mahasiswa untuk menyuarakan pandangan politik mereka secara langsung dan terbuka.

Abstract

Komunikasi politik adalah proses penyampaian pesan yang bercirikan politik kepadakhalayak politik, melalui media tertentu yang bertujuan mempengaruhi dengan jalanmengubah atau mempertahankan suatu kepentingan tertentu di masyarakat. Komunikasipolitik dilakukan oleh para calon kepala daerah untuk menunjukkan segala keunggulanyang dimiliki guna menarik minat partisipasi pemilih, komunikasi politik berisikaninformasi tentang diri calon kepala daera, visi, dan misi dikemas dengan berbagaistrategi dari calon kepala daerah yang dapat mengalahkan lawan calon kepala daerahlain. Dalam ajang komunikasi politik yang biasa dilakukan dengan cara kampanye selaindari itu calon kepala daerah menggunakan metode-metode lain dengan menggunakanmedia massa untuk memperluas informasi kepada masyarakat luas.Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis komunikasi politik calon kepala daerah Kota Medandalam mempengaruhi minat pilih mahasiswa Unimed. Dengan menggunakan metodekualitatif deskriptif dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara kepadanarasumber mahasiswa Unimed Jurusan PPKn serta menganalisis data dan menarik kesimpulan.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana nilai-nilai Pancasila berperan dalam menumbuhkan kembali semangat gotong royong masyarakat di Desa Sampali, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena berkurangnya rasa kebersamaan di masyarakat yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan modernisasi serta meningkatnya pola hidup yang cenderung individualistis. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap perangkat desa serta masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Pancasila masih diterapkan secara nyata dalam kehidupan masyarakat, terutama pada kegiatan gotong royong seperti kerja bakti, pembangunan fasilitas umum, dan kegiatan sosial keagamaan. Nilai Ketuhanan tercermin melalui sikap toleransi antarumat beragama, nilai Kemanusiaan melalui kepedulian sosial, nilai Persatuan melalui kekompakan warga, nilai Kerakyatan melalui musyawarah dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta nilai Keadilan melalui pembagian tugas yang merata. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Pancasila memiliki peran  penting  dalam  memperkuat solidaritas sosial  dan  menjaga keharmonisan antarwarga di Desa Sampali.   Kata Kunci: Pancasila, Gotong Royong, Nilai Sosial, Solidaritas Masyarakat

Abstract

This study examines the role of TikTok in enhancing political participation among students, specifically among Geography students from the 2022 cohort at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Medan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with triangulation techniques (interviews, observations, and documentation), the research found that TikTok positively contributes to deepening students' political understanding, increasing their awareness of political issues, and encouraging involvement in political discussions. Overall, TikTok proves effective in increasing political participation, but improvements in information verification are necessary to maximize its educational role. Kata Kunci : TikTok, political participation, students, political content, media literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji implementasi demokrasi deliberatif di tingkat RT/RW melalui forum warga yang setara dalam membahas persoalan pengelolaan sampah di Kelurahan Bantan, Kecamatan Siantar Barat. Sebanyak 15 warga yang mewakili berbagai latar belakang usia, jenis kelamin, dan profesi dilibatkan dalam forum diskusi terarah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa forum deliberatif mampu membuka ruang partisipasi yang setara, mengurangi dominasi elit lokal, serta menghasilkan kesepakatan kolektif mengenai pengelolaan sampah berbasis RT/RW. Terdapat tantangan muncul dalam hal keberlanjutan komitmen, keterbatasan sumber daya, dan minimnya dukungan dari pemerintah kelurahan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya demokrasi deliberatif sebagai mekanisme penguatan partisipasi warga sekaligus sebagai strategi alternatif untuk penyelesaian persoalan lingkungan di tingkat komunitas.

Abstract

Leadership (leadership) Leadership style is a leader's ability to influence others to achieve desired goals. In a political context, leadership style refers to how a leader influences the public to follow him or her. A leader's political leadership style can be seen through their communication with the public, their involvement in the decision-making process, and the resulting policies. Based on the description above, this study aims to determine whether Bobby Nasution's political leadership style influences the effectiveness of his or her work program as Mayor of Medan. Quantitative research methods were used in this study, including observation, questionnaire distribution, and documentation. The data obtained in the field were then analyzed using correlation tests. product moment, validity test, reliability test, and hypothesis test using the SPSS 22 application. Based on the results of the statistical test analysis that the researcher has conducted, the results of the study show a significant influence and strong correlation between the two variables, namely political leadership style on the effectiveness of the work program by obtaining tcount of 5.2679. Therefore, based on the established hypothesis, tcount 5.2679 with ttable2.002 based on the two-way test provisions with a significance level of 0.05. Thus, tcount 5,2679 ≥ ttable2.002 indicates that the hypothesis Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means there is a significant influence between Political Leadership Style on the Effectiveness of Work Programs. This strong positive influence is supported by the dimensions of transformational leadership, namely charisma, motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention that function as catalysts (people who accelerate change or progress) of innovation in optimizing the effectiveness of work programs by Bobby Nasution as Mayor of Medan.

Abstract

The development of information technology has transformed the communication patterns and political behavior of young generations, including students at Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED). Social media has become the primary source for obtaining, understanding, and disseminating political information, thereby significantly shaping students’ political opinions. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in shaping UNIMED students’ opinions on political issues in Indonesia, identify their perceptions of political issues circulating on social media, and examine the influence of social media on the construction of their political views. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research employed surveys, observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 27 UNIMED student informants. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and verification techniques. The findings reveal that social media plays a significant role as students’ main political information source, directing their attention through algorithmic exposure, and influencing opinion formation through digital public interactions. Social media also acts as a discursive space where students actively express political views, while simultaneously posing risks of information bias, polarization, and misinformation. Overall, social media affects the cognitive, affective, and conative aspects of students in understanding and responding to national political issues

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the impact of Village Fund utilization in the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) on the local economy in Marindal II Village, Patumbak District. The Village Fund policy is expected to encourage village independence by strengthening local economic institutions such as BUMDes. However, the effectiveness of its utilization in creating a tangible economic impact for the community still requires further research. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Research subjects were determined by purposive sampling, consisting of village government officials, BUMDes administrators, as well as community leaders and residents. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The collected data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are expected to provide a clear picture of the contribution of BUMDes supported by Village Funds to the local economy and identify challenges faced in its management, so that it can serve as evaluation material for the village government and related stakeholders. Limited human resources and business management are the main obstacles so that the economic impact has not been felt optimally. The role of BUMDes is more dominant in service than in increasing community income.

Abstract

The weakening of students' civic character is caused by the influence of globalization and the ineffectiveness of conventional learning methods in Pancasila Education. These challenges demand innovative learning media that can foster 21st-century skills while internalizing Pancasila values. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of Multimodal E-Books as a learning medium capable of improving students' critical thinking and collaboration skills. A mixed method with a Research and Development (R&D) approach followed by a quasi-experiment was used in this study. The e-book was tested on two groups of students, namely the experimental group and the control group, with 30 participants in each group. This study included expert validation, pre-test, post-test, normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample test, and N-Gain analysis. The results show that the Multimodal E-Book is highly valid and suitable for use. In the effectiveness test stage, the experimental group obtained an N-Gain score of 0.68, which falls into the medium-high category. Meanwhile, the control group obtained an N-Gain score of 0.32, which falls into the low-medium category. The t-test results confirm that the difference between the two groups is highly significant (sig. 0.000). This study concludes that Multimodal E-Books are effective as a transformative learning medium capable of improving critical and collaborative skills and understanding of Pancasila values among students.
