Abstract

Girls with disabilities are more at risk of contracting STIs because they are a vulnerable group, lacking information and reproductive health services so that hygiene is not well maintained. This study aimed to determine the effect of health education through a video about STIs on the knowledge of girls who were blind and deaf in Bandung City. This study used a pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design in October-December 2019. The research sample was girls who were blind and deaf at Extraordinary Schools in Bandung City. The sampling technique was total sampling with 63 respondents. Data collection was carried out by interviews and questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis used Paired T-Test. In this study, there was an effect of health education through video on the knowledge of girls who were blind and deaf about STIs.

Abstract

Pemantauan kesejahteraan janin penting dilakukan selama kehamilan yang bertujuan untuk melihat setiap tahap perkembangan janin. Salah satu parameter untuk menilai kesejahteraan janin melalui gerakan janin. Selain resiko lahir mati penurunan gerakan janin juga berhubungan dengan kejadian prematur dan pertumbuhan janin terhambat. Selain itu, angka kematian ibu yang tinggi salah satunya disebabkan oleh perdarahan. Pencegahan perdarahan pasca salin dapat dilakukan dengan mengenali  tanda-tanda awal perdarahan pasca salin, dan untuk menggunakan farmakologis, mekanik dan metode bedah perdarahan pasca salin, sesuai dengan faktor penyebabnya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa kebidanan dan bidan tentang kesejahteraan janin, gerakan janin, dan perdarahan pascasalin. Metode yang digunakan dengan melaksanakan simposium dan workshop. Hasil kegiatan simposium dan workshop dilaksanakan 1 hari diikuti oleh 113 peserta. Dari hasil evaluasi pengetahuan pretest dan posttest menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan rerata skor pengetahuan dari 100 peserta sebesar 24,07 dari rata-rata awal pada saat pretest 56,3 % meningkat menjadi 81% saat posttest dengan p-value=0,000.  Kegiatan serupa dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas calon bidan dan bidan ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan maternal untuk masyarakat.

Abstract

The implementation of character education is the duty and responsibility of educational institutions, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and demands in the era of globalization. In addition, the role of educators, academic staff and institutions has an important role in developing methods for implementing character education in higher education. So that what is expected by the government regarding the outcomes of higher education institutions that have strong knowledge and character is realized. The government holds the hope that every graduate from higher education will have the ability to develop character and knowledge well. However, what has happened recently, is very different from the expected expectations. This phenomenological analysis hopes to provide an overview regarding the development of the value clarification technique (VCT) model in midwife education. So that the six main characters can be applied to midwife education, especially the characters of respect, respect, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Because some of the research results related to the VCT model turned out to be able to increase the value possessed by students at the primary and secondary education level. Therefore, the contribution of this paper is in efforts to develop a VCT model in higher education, in realizing the golden generation in 2045.

Abstract

Pembelajaran karakter carring sebagai jantungnya keperawatan, dalam prosesnya meniscayakan kegiatan evaluasi yang harus dilakukan oleh dosen, namun demkian latar dengan latar belakang pendidikan dosen keperawatan yang tidak mendalami ilmu pedagogis bedampak pada kesulitan mereka dalam mengevaluasi capaian karakter caring dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga proses evaluasi pembelajaran masih terfokus pada ranah kognitif dan psikomotorik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrument evaluasi pembelajaran karakter carring. Penelitian ini menggunakan design 4D yang mencerminkan empat tahapan penelitian yakni define, design, developing dan diseminasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 9 orang dosen dan 35 orang mahasiswa pada salah satu perguruan tinggi keperawatan yang cukup populer di provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menghasilkan analisis Hasil uji validitas 84.6% pernyataan dinyatakan valid. Hasil uji reliabilitas diperoleh alpha cronbach’s sebesar 0.869. maka isntrumen termasuk dalam kriteria baik untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Fetal weight has a very important meaning for planning midwifery care. Deviations found can be corrected immediately both during pregnancy and childbirth so that treatment is carried out on time. Clinical decisions made include the choice of type of delivery. This is expected to improve pregnancy outcomes for the welfare of the mother and fetus. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in estimated fetal weight using the Insler Formula and the Johnson Formula compared to the baby's birth weight. This study used a cross sectional design. Sample taken by consecutive sampling. The criteria selected were third trimester pregnant women > 37-42 weeks pregnant, do a pregnancy check  until giving birth at the Garuda and Ibrahim Aji Public Health Centers in Bandung City from July to November 2022. Estimated fetal weight was measured during antenatal checks using the Insler and Johnson formulas. The estimated fetal weight is compared with the actual weight of the newborn. Based on the results of a study that compared the estimated fetal weight with the baby's birth weight, it was found that there was no significant difference between the use of the Insler and Johnson formulas to measure the estimated fetal weight and birth weight p value > 0.05. The Johnson and Insler formula can be applied by student midwives or midwife practitioners when conducting antenatal care in the third trimester (gestational age > 37-42 weeks). This formula is a simple detection method, using simple tools, easy to obtain and can be used anytime and anywhere, namely a measuring tape. In addition, the measurement guidelines and calculation formulas are simple and easy to apply.
