Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of testing, effectiveness, and application of company profile book development as an introduction media for the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) development using a 4-D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Data collection instruments used questionnaires and validation test sheets. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of percentages. The results showed that the development of a company profile book as an introduction media for the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University, obtained a score of 89% in the very practical category from user responses as well as validation tests for material experts and media experts, both included in the feasible category with a score of 1. using the Guttman scale. The Company Profile book was declared effective because in terms of the results of applying the book to students it achieved 96% completeness in the very good category so that it was declared effective. Based on these data it can be concluded that the development of a company profile book as an introduction medium for the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University was accepted and used as an introduction medium for agencies to the general public.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes and student activity and interest in the Electrical Power Installation (ITL) subject through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model for class XI TITL-1 at SMK Negeri 5 Makassar. This research is classroom action research with a model developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The subjects of this research were students in class XI TITL 1, even semester, 2021/2021 academic year, with a total of 29 students. This research consisted of two cycles with two meetings in each cycle. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, learning outcomes tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis.The results of the research show that the application of the Project Based Learning (PBL) learning model in ITL subjects can improve learning outcomes, interest and activeness of class XI TITL 1 students at SMK Negeri 5 Makassar. This can be seen based on the results of observations at each meeting, in cycle I it was 73.54%. In cycle II it increased to 81.3%. The average student learning activity per cycle increased from 83% in cycle I to 90.17% in cycle II, where during the Pre-Test the percentage of interest based on the questionnaire given to students was only 67.45% and activeness was only 66.5%. %. Based on the results of the post test and practice in cycle I and cycle II, the student learning outcomes in cycle I showed a class average of 76.38 and 92.75.

Abstract

The Community Service Activity aims to provide understanding to high school students in Maros District about the socialization in choosing a College to continue their studies, especially in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, in accordance with the talents and interests of the students. The Community Service is conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Maros, SMA Negeri 1 Maros, and SMA Negeri 4 Maros, involving 100 (one hundred) students. Through the implementation of socialization, it is hoped to produce students who have a linear correlation between their interests and talents towards their chosen study programs, especially in the study programs available in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education at State Universitas Negeri Makassar, ensuring that students do not experience Drop Out (DO). Based on the results of the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that several problems are still encountered by prospective students and teachers in high schools in Maros District. Many prospective students have not yet determined their university and study program choices even though the time for new student registration is approaching. With the implementation of this community service activity, prospective new students are able to get to know the study programs better, especially those available in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education at Universitas Negeri Makassar
