Abstract

Islamic spiritual education is utilized in various educational settings, such as in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren). The role of Islamic spiritual education is crucial in the process of enhancing the mental and spiritual development of students (santri). Islamic spiritual education is a holistic process that involves both physical and spiritual aspects comprehensively. The process aims to provide comprehensive guidance and care for an individual's physical and spiritual well-being. This research aims to describe the aspects of spiritual and mental development and the implementation of Islamic spiritual education in enhancing the mental and spiritual growth of students at Kalimasada Bangsri Plandaan Islamic Boarding School in Jombang. This research is a qualitative study conducted at Kalimasada Islamic Boarding School in Plandaan, Jombang. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis prioritized relevant information and was presented in a descriptive-analytical format. The conclusions were drawn descriptively. The results of this research show that the teaching of spiritual education at Kalimasada Plandaan Islamic Boarding School is conducted through providing tausiyah (spiritual talks) and spiritual guidance to the students, incorporating religious materials in learning activities, and guiding students to engage in collective worship activities such as congregational prayers, daily Quran recitation (one day one juz), group dhikr (remembrance of Allah), daily rituals, and night prayers. The mental and spiritual well-being of the students at Kalimasada Islamic Boarding School still require regular reminders and guidance to develop into individuals with perfect spiritual character. Regarding the implementation of spiritual education for students at Kalimasada Bangsri Plandaan Islamic Boarding School, it is carried out excellently and has successfully enhanced the students' mental and spiritual growth.

Abstract

This exploration discusses perfecting the quality of makhorijul letters through the classicalmuroja'ah program at the Putri Walisongo Islamic boarding academy. An preceptor isn't only needed to understand or master a number of literacy accoutrements that he'll convey to actors, but he must master a number of literacy styles and ways in order to continue the metamorphosis of literacy accoutrements and understand each pupil's psychology. A literacy system or model will impact whether or not the material or information is good for scholars. The end of this exploration is to determine the enhancement in the quality of makhorijul lettersthrough the classicalmuroja'ah program at the Putri Walisongo Islamic residential school. This exploration employes a qualitative methodology using qualitative exploration styles. Meanwhile, the type of exploration used is qualitative description exploration. Three methods are used to acquire data: documentation, interviews, and observation.The outcome of this exploration demonstrate that perfecting the Quality of Makhorijul Letters at the Putri Walisongo Islamic Boarding School has several situations, videlicet intelligence, interest and gift, provocation. The classical Muroja'ah program at the Putri Walisongo Islamic boarding academy is a literacy program that aims to repeat memorization with tartil and use applicable makhorijul letters and enumeration styles. perfecting the quality of makhorijul letters through the classicalmuroja'ah program at the Putri Walisongo Islamic boarding academy is getting better and there are stages of achievement for the scholars. From the morning, scholars who could not do it at all came suitable and understood how to gasp makhroj duly and rightly. There are supporting factors, videlicet provocation, targets, intentions, inhibiting factors, videlicet scholars' lack of attention, shiftlessness.

Abstract

Abstract: Metode Yanbu'a is an approach used to facilitate the process of reading the Qur'an with the aim of achieving good and optimal results. By implementing the Yanbu'a method in teaching Quranic reading and writing (BTQ), it is expected to assist students in learning the Qur'an. This method also aims to provide enlightenment when students feel demotivated, thereby encouraging them to read the Qur'an fluently, correctly, and eloquently. This research was conducted at MTs Hidayatussibyan in Wadaslintang, Wonosobo Regency. The objectives of the study were to describe: 1) the ability of reading and writing the Qur'an at MTs Hidayatussibyan Wadaslintang, 2) the effectiveness of the Yanbu'a method in BTQ teaching at MTs Hidayatussibyan Wadaslintang, and 3) the implementation of the Yanbu'a method in improving the students' Qur'anic reading ability at MTs Hidayatussibyan Wadaslintang. A qualitative descriptive method was employed in this study, with the researcher acting as a passive observer. Both primary and secondary data were collected, using observation, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation of sources and methods was conducted to ensure the validity of the data. The findings of this research are as follows: (1) The ability to read the Qur'an at MTs Hidayatussibyan Wadaslintang varies, indicating that some students find it easier to comprehend the material while others are still struggling with reading the Qur'an. (2) The Yanbu'a method has proven to be effective in BTQ teaching at MTs Hidayatussibyan. By following the appropriate steps of the Yanbu'a method, students are expected to achieve excellent academic performance. Through the implementation of this method, students can read the Qur'an fluently, quickly, correctly, and accurately. Moreover, the Yanbu'a method serves as a motivation for students to become Quran memorizers, inspiring them to memorize and understand the contents of the Qur'an more effectively. (3) The implementation of the Yanbu'a method in BTQ teaching, aimed at improving students' Qur'anic reading ability at MTs Hidayatussibyan Wadaslintang, represents the realization of the school's vision and mission. It strives to educate students to read and write the letters of the Qur'an correctly and proficiently.

Abstract

Abstract: : The use of learning models plays a fairly important role in achieving the expected learning objectives. Through various learning models, it can foster a sense of interest and enthusiasm of students in following the learning process so that maximum learning outcomes are achieved. Finding out how the Index Card Match (ICM) cooperative learning approach affects student learning results in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses at SMA Negeri Ngoro Jombang is the goal of this study.This study uses employed a Quasi experiment nonequivalent Group and quantitative approach. Observation, testing, and documentation were employed for data collection, and SPSS version 23 was used for data analysis using the t-test, normality, and homogeneity tests. A higher average posttest score in the experimental class (79.17) than in the control class (71.67) demonstrated a substantial impact of the ICM model on student learning outcomes, and the t-test findings revealed a significance of 0.001 (<0.05). thus, The ICM learning model paradigm succeeded in improving student learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects at Ngoro State High School, Jombang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of pesantren education in shaping the character of students at Pondok Pesantren Hubbul Qur’an Jombang, emphasising the integration of traditional methods and contemporary approaches. The background of this research is rooted in the challenges of globalisation and digitalisation, which potentially weaken the moral values of the younger generation, requiring pesantren to maintain their relevance as institutions of character education. The study employed a descriptive qualitative design involving 10 participants, consisting of students, carers, and the pesantren leader, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected over three months through participatory observation, in-depth interviews totalling 20 hours, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through coding (open, axial, and selective), thematic categorisation, and triangulation of sources and methods. The findings indicate that character formation is developed through five key strategies: habituation of discipline, egalitarian leadership of the kyai, reinforcement of ukhuwah islamiyah, cultivation of ukhuwah wathaniyah, and the synergy of traditional practices with pedagogical innovation. The study concludes that pesantren function not only as religious institutions but also as social laboratories shaping students’ character comprehensively—religious, with integrity, and adaptive to modernity. This research provides both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of pesantren-based character education relevant in the era of globalisation.

Abstract

Based on research findings, it was found that one of the main factors driving juvenile delinquency is the less than optimal role of parents as role models or exemplars for their children. Additionally, characteristics such as selfishness and a tendency to inflate self-esteem also appear prominently among teenagers. Through an analysis of existing legal issues, it was decided that a legal counseling program themed on juvenile delinquency needs to be raised as a preventive effort. The approach used to address juvenile delinquency in Sukomoro Village is advocacy and counseling. This approach was chosen because it is educational and participatory, where the target audience not only receives information but is also actively involved in the process of increasing awareness, understanding, and decision-making to make constructive changes. The outreach activities are conducted dialogically, allowing for a question-and-answer interaction between the speaker and the participants. Technically, the outreach begins with the delivery of material aimed at providing the community with an understanding of the impact of juvenile delinquency, both in the national context and the surrounding environment. A discussion session is held to emphasize the importance of attention to teenagers as the next generation who have a strategic role in national development. Juvenile delinquency itself is a complex social phenomenon influenced by various factors such as minimal parental involvement, weak self-control, negative influences from social interactions, and emotional immaturity. As individuals who are in a transitional phase towards adulthood, teenagers have distinctive characteristics such as high enthusiasm, a great curiosity, and a need for social recognition. Without proper guidance, these characteristics have the potential to develop into deviant behavior.

Abstract

Empowering teenagers as successor cadres of Al-Qur'an teachers at the Darul Mukhlisin Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) is one of the strategic efforts to increase religious literacy among the younger generation. This program not only aims to teach the ability to read and write the Koran properly and correctly, but also to build character, leadership and social responsibility. This research examines the urgency of a cadre of Al-Qur'an teachers from youth elements and the impact of empowering teenagers as Al-Qur'an teachers, the challenges faced in its implementation, as well as the potential long-term benefits for individual teenagers, institutions and society. The method used in this research is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method with discovery, dream, design, define, destiny.. The results of the research show that this empowerment program has a positive impact on teenagers in the form of awareness of potential and increasing the quality of literacy and leadership skills which have an impact on the social environment, by increasing religious motivation and understanding of Islamic values, which ultimately results in being able to practice knowledge by becoming a teacher of al- Qur'an at TPQ Darul Mukhlisin

Abstract

Public awareness of maintaining body fluid balance has largely focused on preventing dehydration, while the dangers of overhydration are often overlooked. This condition can lead to hyponatremia, which poses serious neurological risks and may result in death. The issue oflow health literacy regarding overhydration prompted the implementation of a mosque-based community service program as a center for health education. This activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of mosque communities about the dangers of excessive water consumption and to encourage more mindful drinking behavior. The solution was implemented through a participatory approach, consisting of interactive health counseling, group discussions, distribution of educational media (leaflets, posters, videos), and digital campaigns led by mosque youth. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test and qualitative observations of community responses. The results showed a 75% increase in average knowledge scores and a significant behavioral change, with 70% of participants adjusting their water consumption according to body needs. Additionally, a community group called “Healthy Mosque Friends” was established as a sustainability effort. This program contributed to strengthening the mosque’s role as a center for community-based health promotion that is communicative, religiously grounded, and sustainable. Thus, this health education campaign not only improved public health literacy about overhydration but also fostered a collective awareness of maintaining fluid balance as part of both spiritual and social responsibility.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has created new opportunities in education, particularly in accessing scholarships which are now predominantly online-based. Nevertheless, limited digital literacy remains a critical challenge among students in Islamic boarding schools (santri). This community service program aims to optimize the digital literacy of final-year students at MA Madrasatul Qur’an Tebuireng Jombang in accessing various scholarship opportunities. The study applied a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, actively involving students and teachers in every stage of the program. Activities included needs assessment, digital skills training, structured mentoring, evaluation, and collective reflection. Findings revealed significant improvements in students’ basic digital competencies, particularly in email usage, online scholarship registration, and digital document preparation. Based on pre-test and post-test results, average skills improved by 47%. Beyond technical capacity, students developed greater self-confidence in exploring higher education opportunities and building networks with scholarship providers. Teachers, meanwhile, transformed their roles into digital literacy facilitators, reinforcing collaborative learning culture within the pesantren. This program not only benefited individuals but also established a replicable model of best practices for other Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, optimizing digital literacy through participatory approaches proves to be an effective strategy to bridge the digital divide and promote equitable access to education. The sustainability of the program is expected to be ensured through the establishment of a digital scholarship information center, the development of digital literacy volunteers, and the expansion of institutional partnerships.
