Abstract

Cow urine waste is unused waste that is still scattered in Pebaun Hulu village, Kuantan Mudik District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Currently, cattle waste, especially urine, causes environmental pollution, which disrupts people's comfort. This community service activity aims to train the community, especially the youth of Pebaun Hulu village, to utilize cow urine into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) using fermentation techniques with EM-4. The target of the training activities is the youth of Pebaun Hulu village. Training activities were carried out over two meetings. Based on the pre-test results, 80% of youth do not understand the benefits of fertilizer and do not understand how to make POC. The method used in the training consists of three stages, namely lecture, discussion and practice. The result of the training is that the youth of Pebaun Hulu village understand and understand how to make POC from cow urine found in their environment using the EM-4 fermentation technique. Through this activity, it has also changed the paradigm of the people of Pebaun Hulu village, Kuantan District, Kuantan Singingi Regency who consider cow dung as waste that can pollute the environment to be more useful.

Abstract

Oil palm planting should pay attention to technology and fertilization management. The hope in cultivating oil palm plants is the results/production of the fruit. The community in Kinali Village has begun to convert rubber plantations into oil palm plantations. However, some people still do not know the importance of understanding and implementing fertilization properly. The method of community service activities is to start identifying problems through dialogue which is continued with extension and training activities. In order to measure the level of satisfaction with the activities carried out, a questionnaire was distributed. The results of this activity showed that the community was very satisfied (83,33 %) with the extension and training provided. The importance of this activity is because it increases knowledge, changes mindsets and changes the treatment of community oil palm plants. So that it can increase community income.

Abstract

Budidaya secara hidroponik dapat menanggulangi masalah keterbatasan berkurangnya lahan pertanian Edukasi terkait pemanfaatan tanaman hidroponik dinilai penting untuk disosialisasikan agar masyarakat dapat mengenal lebih mendalam dan memiliki motivasi dalam budidaya teknik hidroponik di lingkungan masing-masing. Siswa sebagai generasi penerus bangsa, dalam interaksi sosial memiliki peranan istimewa sebagai penyambung ilmu pengetahuan. Didukung dengan berlakunya kurikulum Merdeka belajar pada siswa menengah atas bahwa siswa harus memiliki keterampilan ekstraseluler salah satunya di bidang pertanian. Berdasarkan kondisi permasalahan diatas, tim PKM Program Studi Agroteknologi Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi menawarkan program Pelatihan Budidaya hidroponik bagi siswa sekolah Menengah Atas kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Untuk melihat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta maka sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan PKM disebarkan quisioner. Hasil Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengenai pelatihan budidaya hidroponik terhadap siswa SMA/sederajat  sangat antusias diikuti oleh peserta.  Dengan adanya penyuluhan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta akan budidaya secara hidroponik, system budidaya hidroponik secara kapiler memiliki peluang untuk di kembangkan disekolah bahkan di masyarakat. Terjadi peningkatan sekitar 50 % pengetahuan peserta akan budidaya secara hidroponik, system budidaya hidroponik secara kapiler. Salah satu sekolah peserta pelatihan yaitu MA BAHLUL ULUM kabupatem kuatan singingi sudah penerapan hidroponik system kapiler pada tanaman cabai.

Abstract

Education is a very important need in society’s life. High school students and equivalent teachers are educational people who continuously learn. Hydroponics is a technology in the agricultural sector that can be adopted in the education sector. A total of 68 participants attended this hydroponics training activity, 22 were teachers and 46 were senior high schools student. All participants showed quite high enthusiasm in this training activity as shown by the high frequency of questions from all participants.
