Abstract

Pengaruh Penggunaan Realistic Mathematic Education Berbantuan Media Video Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kalikayen Kecamatan Ungaran Timur Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di SDN Kalikayen yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai hasil belajar sebagian siswa yang masih berada di bawah KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) berbantuan media video dengan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN Kalikayen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel sebanyak 37 siswa kelas V yang diambil melalui teknik quasi experiment. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada 17–19 September 2025 menggunakan skala RME berbantuan video dan instrumen pemahaman konsep hasil belajar matematika, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif serta korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,33 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 32,22, dengan pemenuhan asumsi data berdistribusi normal (sig. 0,119) dan homogen (sig. 0,203). Selanjutnya, hasil analisis korelasi Bivariate Pearson memperoleh angka koefisien korelasi $r_{\text{hitung}} = 0,758$ dengan nilai signifikansi $0,001 \ (< 0,05)$, yang berarti $H_0$ ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara penggunaan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) berbantuan media video dengan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN Kalikayen Kecamatan Ungaran Timur.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Visual Art-based Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning media in improving visual literacy of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of two expert validators, namely material experts and media experts, and 30 PGSD students as product users. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and tests. Data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively using the percentage of validity, practicality, and N-Gain calculations. The results of the study showed that the learning media obtained a validity level of 92.00% from material experts and 93.60% from media experts with a very valid category. Student responses to the media reached 92.73% with a very practical category. The use of media also improved students' visual literacy skills, as demonstrated by an increase in the average score from 68.40 in the pretest to 86.70 in the posttest, with an N-Gain of 0.58 (moderate category). The results of this study indicate that visual art-based social studies learning media is suitable for use as an innovative learning tool to support the improvement of visual literacy in elementary school teacher education students.Keywords: learning media, social studies, visual art, visual literacy, ADDIE, elementary school teacher education

Abstract

Writing descriptive texts is one of the essential competencies in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level because it supports students' literacy development. However, conventional teaching methods often limit students' ability to generate ideas, enrich vocabulary, and describe objects systematically. This study aims to develop a visual-based learning media that is valid, practical, and effective in improving elementary school students' descriptive writing skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The participants were 30 fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and descriptive writing tests. The findings indicate that the developed media achieved excellent feasibility with material expert validation of 92.5% and media expert validation of 94.1%. The implementation results revealed a significant improvement in students' descriptive writing skills, with the average score increasing from 68.40 in the pretest to 84.73 in the posttest. Teachers and students also provided very positive responses toward the learning media. Therefore, the developed visual-based learning media is considered feasible, practical, and effective for improving descriptive writing skills in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level.Keywords: learning media, visual media, Indonesian language, descriptive writing, elementary school
