Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) refer to students' ability to solve problems by analyzing, evaluating, and creating. HOTS are essential for 21st century learning. Solving combinatorics problem troubleshooting requires HOTS. The aim of this research is to examine of senior high school students’ higher order thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems. This descriptive research describes the analysis of senior high school students’ higher order thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems. Class XII IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Trenggalek has a total of 21 students. Data was collected through a written test containing combinatorics problems and interviews. The results of the study show the senior high school students’ higher-order thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems: 38% of the students have "excellent" performance; 14% are rated as good; 10% are classified as enough; 38% are classified as low; no one is very poor. The most common indicator of higher-order thinking skills was analyzing (58%), followed by evaluating (55%). The creating rate is the lowest at 47%. This study can develop students' higher order thinking skills and evaluation for teachers in implementing higher order thinking skills in school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan dari paper berjudul “Local Antimagic Vertex Coloring of a Graph” oleh Arumugam et al. mengenai pewarnaan titik dengan pelabelan sisi pada graf khusus yang bertujuan untuk menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona. Penelitian juga akan menganalisis tentang keterkaitan antara pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal dengan pewarnaan titik antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona ; Dan Menganalisis kaitan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona yang diteliti menggunakan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan instrumen validasi untuk mengetahui pencapaian tingkat keterampilan berpikir tinggi. Hasilnya, ditemukan teorema baru yang membuktikan bahwa bilangan kromatik antiajaib lokal oleh Arumugam lebih besar dibandingkan bilangan kromatik total antiajaib lokal . Dalam penelitian ini juga menghasilkan kaitan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona yang diteliti.

Abstract

Abstract. Pewarnaan sisi dinamis suatu graf didefinisikan sebagai pemetaan dari ke himpunan warna sedemikian hingga memenuhi kondisi dan dimana adalah himpunan sisi yang bertetangga dengan dan adalah derajat titik . Nilai yang minimal sehingga graf memenuhi pewarnaan warna sisi dinamis disebut bilangan kromatik sisi dinamis, yang dinotasikan dengan Penelitian ini, peneliti menentukan bilangan kromatik pada graf hasil operasi amalgamasi titik dari keluarga graf pohon yaitu graf bintang dan graf sapu menggunakan metode deduktif aksiomatik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah teorema yang menyatakan bilangan kromatik pewarnaan sisi dinamis. Terdapat tiga teorema yang dihasilkan dari graf yang diteliti serta setiap tahap dalam penelitian ini dikaitkan dengan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Keywords: Pewarnaan sisi dinamis, operasi amalgamasi titik, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu tempat manusia beraktifitas maka rumah tidak bisa dilepaskan dari pencemaran manusia, salah satunya asap pembakaran. Dalam penelitian ini dibangun suatu model matematika mengenai permasalahan penyebaran asap yang didasarkan pada jenis dan konsentrsai bahan bakar yang digunakan. Hasilnya didapatkan bahwa semakin besar konsentrasi yang digunakan maka polutan asap yang menyebar juga semakin banyak, demikian juga pengaruh bahan bakar yang digunakan, berdasarkan simulasi menggunakan software FLUENT didapatkan bahwa dengan menggunakan bahan bakar arang emisi karbon yang didapatkan paling besar dibandingkan yang lain.Kata Kunci : Sebaran Gas, Metode Volume Hingga, FLUENT

Abstract

Peripheral arterial disease is a disease that occurs due to narrowing of peripheral arteries caused by plaque buildup. If left too long, this disease can cause pain in the limbs and even have to be amputated. One way to treat PAP is by performing stenting or better known as angioplasty. Angioplasty is performed with the aim of opening the narrowed blood vessels so that blood flow can be normal again. Mathematical modeling is a science that can be used to simulate problems in the real world into mathematical models. Mathematical modeling can form a model that describes the state of blood flow in the peripheral arteries in accordance with the conditions and important factors in it. In this study a mathematical model of blood flow was built in the peripheral arteries to determine the effectiveness of stent placement obtained from the momentum equation and solved using the finite element method.

Abstract

Pencemaran lingkungan saat ini telah menjadi permasalahan yang umum dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu contoh pencemaran adalah adanya aktifitas pembuangan limbah air panas dari pembangkit tenaga listrik dan pendingin mesin-mesin industri yang ada di pabrik gula. Masuknya limbah air yang masih panas dari spray pond ke sungai dalam jumlah besar dapat memberikan dampak negatif bagi kehidupan biota sungai di sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, pengkajian tentang pola sebaran air panas dari spray pond perlu dilakukan untuk dapat mengetahui temperatur air yang ada di spray pond dapat dialirkan ke sungai tanpa harus mengganggu biota sungai tersebut. Metode volume hingga akan digunakan untuk menganalisis sebaran air panas spray pond di pabrik gula. Untuk menyelesaikan model matematika menggunakan software MATLAB, dan untuk proses simulasi sebaran air panas dilakukan menggunakan software FLUENT. Hasil simulasi menunjukan bahwa dibutuhkan tekanan air yang tinggi agar proses penurunan temperatur air panas yang dikeluarkan dari spray pond semakin mendekati temperatur lingkungan dan penyebarannya air semakin luas.

Abstract

The use of technology in learning is essential for developing students' ICT literacy. However, the application of technology as a learning media remains limited. The purpose of this study is to develop a learning media to enhance students' ICT literacy. This research is conducted using a 4-D model, which consists of four stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This learning media is developed based on ICT literacy indicators. The study participants are 33 of 10th-grade students at one of the public vocational schools in Jember, East Java. Data collection methods consist of validation sheets, tests, questionnaires, interviews, and observations.  The expert validation is used to validate the media, while the students' response questionnaire determines the practicality. The validity result shows that the media can be used to measure ICT literacy. Moreover, the practicality of media also shows that it can be easily applied. Furthermore, the effectiveness of learning media is obtained from the N-Gain average of test and ICT literacy questionnaire. The observation data also support the effectiveness of the media during the implementation. The result shows that the media confirmed to be effective as it can improve the students' ICT literacy. To sum up, the Schoology web-based learning media with GeoGebra is useful to improve ICT literacy on quadratic functions

Abstract

Conservation of water resources is very important in the Afdeling area because the water is needed to provide water supply for the plant. The behavior of ethnic Madurese migrants in Kalibaru Afdeling becomes interesting to investigate because it differs from the Banyuwangi indigenous ethnic, Osing. The purpose of this research was to know the habits of the Madurese tribe in the conservation of water resources in the plantation area. This study used a qualitative method with a branched contractile approach, with some informants from three elements such as, residents, community leaders, and village coordinators. The result of this research shows that Sumber Pereng’s inhabitants have some ways to maintain water resource by keeping bamboo and cleaning the area every Rabu Wekasan, while Sumber Limak and Sumber Gueh's inhabitants always change the plants around the water resource, but they do nothing to maintain and conserve it. Water resource conservation is better in Sumber Pereng rather than in Sumber Limak and Sumber Gueh.

Abstract

This research is a development of research on $r$-dynamic vertex coloring on simple, connected, and undirected graphs. The $r$dynamic vertex coloring on the graph $G$ is the $r$ point coloring of the $r$ graph so that the vertices of degree two on the $G$ graph have at least two different color neighbors. The $r$-dynamic vertex coloring is satisfied if it meets the conditions for $\forall v \in V(G)$, $|c(N(v))|$ $\geq$ min$\{r,d(v)\}$. The chromatic number for the $r$-dynamic vertex coloring of the graph $G$ is denoted as $\chi_r(G)$. In this study, we discuss the $r$-dynamic vertex coloring on the graph resulting from the \emph{edge corona} operation on a path graph with a complete graph, a star graph, and a sweep graph. It is denoted that the result of the operation of \emph{edge corona} graph $G$ and graph $H$ is $G \diamond H$. In this study, the results of the $r$-dynamic vertex coloring are described in the operation graph $P_n \diamond K_m$, $P_n \diamond S_m$, $P_n \diamond P_m$, and $P_n \diamond B_{(m,k)}

Abstract

Math learning to train people to think critically, creatively, logical, analytical and systematic. In reality, mathematics is often regarded as the science that emphasizes logical thinking with a unique solution and certainly, so that students do not have the flexibility to develop creative ideas. The condition causes low creativity of students in learning mathematics. Curriculum 2006 stated that creative thinking skills needed to master the science of the future, given that today's science and technology is developing very rapidly \cite{BSNP}. Thus, the ability to think creatively is important to develop. This study describes the rate and the process of creative thinking class X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Jember, in solving open ended problems. Instruments used in this research is to test the ability to think creatively package A and package B, questionnaires and interview guidelines. Of the 36 students of class X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Jember included TBK 0 (not creative) as much as two students (5.56\%), TBK 1 (less creative) as many as twenty students (55.56\%), TBK 2 (enough creative) thirteen students (36.1\%), TBK 3 (creative) only one student (2.78\%) and no students were able to achieve TBK 4 (very creative). Because there are only four levels of creative thinking then taken four students as research subjects who identified the creative thinking process. Students TBK 3 very fulfilling to aspects of fluency and flexibility aspects, but for the novelty aspect is still lacking. Students TBK 2 only meet the flexibility aspect alone. Students TBK 1 which fulfills the eloquence alone. Students who do not meet the TBK 0 fluency aspect, the aspect of flexibility and novelty aspect.
