Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in science learning on fossil energy material through the inquiry approach in class VI of Naikoten 2 Kupang Elementary School. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation of teacher and student activities, as well as learning outcome tests. The research subjects were 25 Grade VI students, consisting of 13 boys and 12 girls. The results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes. Mastery learning increased from 44% in the pre-cycle to 68% in the first cycle, and reached 84% in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry approach can improve students' learning outcomes in science learning on fossil energy material.

Abstract

Skripsi oleh Adelsya Martelda Snae, NIM : 2101140001, dengan judul “Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa Tentang Perubahan Wujud Benda Melalui Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing di Kelas IV SD GMIT Manumuti Tarus”. Dengan rumusan masalah : Bagaimana peningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menerapakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam materi perubahan wujud benda pada siswa kelas IV SD GMIT Manumuti Tarus?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan model Pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam materi perubahan wujud benda pada siswa kelas IV SD GMIT Manumuti Tarus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi/tes, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 25 siswa kelas IV B, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, dan tes, lalu dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPAS dengan materi perubahan Wujud Benda menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, pada siklus 1 dari 25 peserta didik yang tuntas 4 orang (16%), dikarenakan siswa mempunyai kemampuan dasar yang lebih baik dan guru sudah mulai menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing namun belum optimal menjangkau seluruh peserta didik sedangkan yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) sebanyak 21 orang (84%), dikarenakan guru kurang membimbing peserta didik dalam mencari dan mengumpulkan informasi dari berbagai sumber dan peserta didik yang belum terbiasa dengan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Sedangkan pada siklus 2 peserta didik mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar yang dimana 25 peserta didik 100% tuntas dan mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP), dikarenakan peserta didik dan guru terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.

Abstract

Luruk, Theodora 1901140095 PGSD. “Improving the ability to learn science on the subject of animal life cycles through the problem based learning model in class IIIA students of SDN Danau Ina Oesapa Kupang”. Antonius suban Hali, S,Si. M,Si as the first supervisor, Netty E.A Nawa, S,Pd. M,Pd as the second supervisor.This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of sciences in the animal life cycle material through the problem based learning (PBL) learning model in class IIIA students of SDN Danau Ina Oesapa. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection is used using teacher activity observation sheets, students activity observations and student learning outcomes tets. This data is analyzed using qualitative study. show that in cyle I, there were 10 students who completed the material with a percentage of (43,84%) while 13 others did not complete it with a percentage of ( 56,52%). Then in cycle II, as many as 21 students completed it with a percentage of 91,3% while 2 students did not complete it with a percentage of (8,7%). Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the established problem based learning (PBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes at SDN Danau Ina Oesapa Kupang.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of science education in the digital era calls for pedagogical innovations that promote deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization. This study aims to investigate the effect of integrating PhET interactive simulations into a guided inquiry learning model on students’ conceptual understanding of elasticity and Hooke’s Law. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design was employed with 55 eleventh-grade science students at SMA Frater Don Bosco Lewoleba, Indonesia. The experimental group experienced PhET-supported guided inquiry, while the control group received guided inquiry instruction with real demonstration tools. Statistical analysis revealed that students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher posttest scores than those in the control group (t(53) = 2.89, p = 0.01), with a medium-to-high effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.67). The findings suggest that PhET interactive simulations function as cognitive scaffolds by visualizing abstract physical phenomena, reducing extraneous cognitive load, and supporting conceptual reconstruction during inquiry activities. These results highlight the pedagogical value of embedding digital simulations within inquiry-based physics instruction to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and foster meaningful learning in abstract scientific domains.

Abstract

This study is a quantitative research aimed at determining the effect of using interactive PowerPoint as a learning media on students’ learning outcomes in science (IPAS) on the ecosystem topic in class VD of SD Negeri Naikoten 1. This research employed a Pre-Experimental Design with a One Group Pre test Post test Design. The population and sample of this study consisted of 28 students of class VD SD Negeri Naikoten 1 in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Data collection techniques included tests and documentation, with instruments in the form of pretest and posttest consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions that had been validated by experts. The reliability test using Cronbach’s Alpha showed a value of 0.708, which is categorized as high reliability. The results showed that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed with significance values of 0.119 and 0.123 (> 0.05), and homogeneous with a significance value of 0.910 (> 0.05). The hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between students’ learning outcomes before and after the treatment. The mean score increased from 58.93 in the pretest to 77.50 in the posttest. Furthermore, the effect size calculated using Cohen’s d was 2.855, which falls into the very large category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of interactive PowerPoint as a learning media has a significant and highly effective impact on improving students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research study aimed at improving the learning process and outcomes through the use of animated video media in the science subject of the human digestive system in class VB SDI Oepura 3. Initial problems identified were low student learning outcomes and a lack of student engagement due to the limited use of media, resulting in students' lack of interest and difficulty understanding the material. Based on these conditions, learning innovations were needed to increase student interest and understanding. The study was conducted in two cycles, encompassing planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Twenty students participated in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection methods included tests and non-tests. Pretests and posttests were used to measure learning outcomes, while observations were used to assess learning activities. The results showed an increase in student learning completion. Initially, only 30%, or 6 students, completed the task. In the first cycle, this increased to 60%, or 12 students, and in the second cycle, it reached 85%, or 17 students. These results indicate that animated video media is effective in improving learning outcomes and student engagement.

Abstract

This study was conducted due to the low conceptual understanding of students on ecosystem material in Class III B at SD GMIT Oepura Kupang. This condition was reflected in the students’ daily test results, where most of them had not yet achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria for Learning Objectives (KKTP). In addition, students showed low participation during the learning process, which affected their learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aimed to improve students’ conceptual understanding through the use of Pop-Up Book learning media on ecosystem material. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 26 students. Data collection techniques included observations of teacher and student activities as well as learning outcome tests to determine the improvement of students’ conceptual understanding. The results of the study showed improvements in both learning outcomes and student activities in each cycle. In the pre-cycle stage, the learning mastery percentage was only 34.62%, with 9 students achieving mastery and 17 students not yet achieving mastery. After the implementation of Pop-Up Book media in Cycle I, learning mastery increased to 61.53%, with 16 students achieving mastery and 10 students not yet achieving mastery. Furthermore, in Cycle II, learning mastery increased significantly to 88.46%, with 23 students achieving mastery and only 3 students not yet achieving mastery, thereby meeting the success indicator of ≥ 85%. Student activity also improved from an average score of 67 in Cycle I to 81 in Cycle II. Thus, the Pop-Up Book learning media proved effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding and learning outcomes on ecosystem material.
