Abstract

This study investigates the pivotal role of transformational leadership in facilitating digital transformation and promoting organizational learning to drive madrasah reform and performance in madrasahs in Indonesia. The research uses a quantitative survey method, the research is limited to madrasahs in Indonesia, engages madrasah leaders, and utilizes SEM-PLS to analyse relationships among variables. The study emphasizes the critical role of transformational leadership in adapting to the digital era and fostering continuous learning, enabling effective madrasah reforms and improved performance. It shows that organizational learning supports digital initiatives, with leaders encouraging adaptation and aligning technology use with academic and religious goals. This research underscores the importance of transformational leadership and organizational learning in driving digital transformation, accelerating institutional reforms, and enhancing performance, particularly in Indonesia's madrasah sector.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of cultural intelligence on network capability, focusing on how entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, contribute to branch performance. This research uses a quantitative survey with outlet heads across Indonesia. This survey examines the relationship between cultural intelligence and branch performance, while interviews provide insights into entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation that influence network capability. This study found that cultural intelligence has a positive impact on branch performance, entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation. Leaders who utilize cultural aspects play a role in motivating employee to observe the culture of their surrounding environment where they work, which is oriented towards entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation enhance the success of network development capabilities. These findings may not be fully generalizable to other companies or cultural contexts. This study contributes to the literature on network capability by highlighting the importance of cultural intelligence in banking institutions. The research extends the theories of entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation by applying them to the context of corporate network capability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the integration of two mainstream theories of strategic management rooted in resource Dependency Theory (RDT) and Resource-Based View (RBV) in utilizing the internal strengths and external dependencies of companies. This study will explore the area of theory integration by using a literature review method that involves the collection, analysis and synthesis of influential publications on both theories, semi-systematic literature review is carried out with narrative analysis techniques. The results of the study provide a conceptual framework in understanding organizational strategy and to gain stability in managing the main sources of competitive advantage and dependency of the organization. Studies of how organizations are leveraging their internal strengths, and external dependencies can reveal improvement trends and under-explored areas in strategic management research. The implications of exploring the integration of these two key perspectives will enhance the prospect of using both theories together in strategic planning, organizational behavior and decision-making, and serve as an integration view for managers to engage in process utilization.
