Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bokashi fertilizer Sus scrofa manure on growth sweet corn (Zea mays L.). This type of research is a quantitative study with a pure experimental method (true experiment). The population of this study were 30 polybags of sweet corn. The research sample used a sample consisting 30 polybags sweet corn with treatment and five replications. The treatments applied were P0 (without bokashi), P1 (50 grams), P2 (70 grams), P3 (90 grams), P4 (110 grams), and P5 (130 grams). The data of this study were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality test, homogeneity test and Anova test and test with the LSD test using version 20 of the SPSS (system product and service solution) application. Based on the results the study it was concluded that, It is used for the growth sweet corn plants and the bokashi fertilizer Sus scrofa dung is easy to find and can be processed quickly and the use Sus scrofa dung bokashi fertilizer has an effect on the growth in height, diameter and number leaves of sweet corn (Zea mays L.).

Abstract

Tanaman cabai adalah tanaman yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia.Untuk menunjang pertumbuhan tanaman cabai perlu dilakukan pemupukan yang ditambah pada media tanaman untuk mencukupi kebutuhan hara. Bokashi adalah sebuah metode pengomposan yang dapat menggunakan starter erobik maupun anerobik untuk mengomposkan bahan organik, yang digunakan pada pembuatan bokashi kotoran Sus scrova ini adalah serbuk gergaji, sekam padi, Em4, air, gula, tanah dan kotoran babi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis data Anova. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk bokashi kotoran Sus crova terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman cabai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa pupuk bokashi kotoran Sus scrova dapat diketahui pada; (1) tinggi batang tanaman; (2) jumlah daun dan (3) diameter batang tanaman cabai. Setelah melakukan penanaman dan penelitian dilakukan satu kali seminggu selama 2 bulan

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to guide students in carrying out teaching practices at school. The method of service activities is carried out by interviews and direct practice. The results of the service activities showed that the activities carried out were able to encourage and motivate the participants in building students' self-confidence in carrying out practice in carrying out guidance related to problems faced both in personal problems and problems in learning as well as the ongoing lecture process. The conclusion is that the guidance activities carried out are able to encourage and motivate students in carrying out group and individual guidance in learning.

Abstract

Academic stress is one of the main challenges faced by university students, which can affect their mental and emotional well-being as well as their academic performance. To address this issue, this community service program aims to implement Nias-based counseling guidance as an innovative approach to help students manage academic stress. Through this approach, students are provided with an understanding of the values of Nias culture, which emphasize musyawarah (deliberation), gotong royong (mutual cooperation), and faluaya (unity in togetherness) as the foundation for solving problems collectively. The counseling program includes both individual and group sessions designed to provide coping skills, relaxation techniques, and social support necessary for managing academic stress. The results of the program show that students who participated in this counseling experienced a significant reduction in academic stress and felt more connected to their own culture. Additionally, they improved skills in time management, reduced anxiety, and strengthened social bonds and solidarity among their peers. This program successfully demonstrated that a Nias-based local wisdom approach can be an effective strategy for helping students overcome academic stress in a more holistic way that is relevant to their cultural context.

Abstract

This service aims to inventory the types of herbal plants used as family medicinal plants in Hilimondrege Raya Village. This service is a type of qualitative research with descriptive methods with a total of 5 respondents. Data collection by observation, interviews, documentation. Based on the findings of this service, it can be concluded that there are 15 plant species used by the people of Hilimondrege Raya Village as family medicinal plants, namely Cocor duck (Kalanchoe Pinnata), Soursop (Annona muricata), Ila-lang (Imperata cylindrica), Bandotan (Ageratum conizoides) , Earrings (Acalypha australis), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Cat's whiskers (Orthosiphon aristatus), Turmeric (Curcuma domestica), Mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpha), Guava (Psidium guajava), Lime (Citrus aurantifolia), Areca nut (Areca catechu), Cardamom (Amomum compactum), Water henna (Impatiens balsamina), Pulutan (Urena lobata). Suggestions for this research are expected to maintain the habit of using plants as medicine, and also teach children and young people about natural medicine. Natural treatment should be a source of knowledge, understanding and insight for the people of Hilimondrege Raya Village.

Abstract

Coconut shell is an organic waste that comes from processed coconuts which is obtained after taking the coconut meat to make coconut milk and so on. Coconut shells have many benefits for humans if they can be used creatively. The aim of this service is to find out the process of utilizing organic waste, especially coconut shells in Bawofanayama Village, Fanayama District, South Nias Regency. Based on the results of this research, the process of processing coconut shells to make charcoal is carried out in stages, namely; cleaning, drying, providing containers for burning, burning, collecting charcoal and distributing or selling. Based on these results, it is clearly visible and proven that natural waste or waste, especially coconut shells originating from human activities, can be reused as income. So this can improve human quality creatively and economically. Therefore, it is hoped that the community can utilize organic waste, especially coconut shell waste, to increase the economic value of the community itself.

Abstract

Plastic waste management poses a significant challenge in many villages, including Desa Bawolowalangi. The community service program titled “Transformation of Aqua Plastic Bottles into Environmentally Friendly Trash Bins Based on Local Wisdom in Desa Bawolowalangi” aims to address this issue through innovative recycling that integrates local cultural values. This activity involves technical training on recycling aqua plastic bottles as well as the application of motifs and designs unique to Desa Bawolowalangi on trash bin products. This participatory and sustainable approach not only raises environmental awareness but also strengthens cultural identity and opens new economic opportunities for the local community. As a result, the recycled products are not only environmentally friendly but also have high market value, contributing to improved community welfare. Assistance in production management and digital marketing further strengthens the program’s sustainability. These findings demonstrate that integrating local wisdom in waste management can be an effective strategy to empower communities while preserving environmental sustainability. This program is expected to serve as an innovative and sustainable waste management model for other villages in Indonesia.
