Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik sangat diperlukan karena peserta dituntut untuk lebih tanggap dalam memecahkan masalah dan menyelesaikan masalah yang terdapat di dalam pembelajaran, terutama dalam pembelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat penguasaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di Kecamatan Kalidoni dan Ilir Timur II. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian yaitu 4 SMA yang Negeri dan Swasta yang terakreditasi A dan B. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive sampling. Teknik Pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, soal keterampilan berpikir kritis dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggukan Ms. Excel dengan menghitung tingkat penguasaan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Hasil Penelitian  menunjukan persentase keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA di kecamatan Kalidoni sebesar 50,95% dengan kategori sedang dan di Kecamatan Ilir Timur II sebesar 50,43% dikategorikan sedang. Indikator tertinggi di Kecamatan Kalidoni ditunjukan pada indikator pengaturan diri sebesar 64,29% dan terendah pada indikator mengevaluasi 41,27% dan indikator tertinggi di Kecamatan Ilir Timur II ditunjukan pada indikator pengaturan diri sebesar 65,81% dan terendah pada indikator menjelaskan 46,83%.

Abstract

Pelatihan role-playing sistem organ pada manusia sebagai alternative dalam menyikapi kesulitan siswa memahami proses fisiologi yang kompleks pada tubuh. Model kegiatan melalui pendampingan dan role-playing bagi 42 siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Palembang selama dua hari. Kegiatan hari pertama meliputi: evaluasi awal, pengenalan dan pendampingan pembuatan naskah role-playing sesuai dengan materi. Hari kedua role-playing I di kelas XI IPA, role-playing II di kelas X,  diskusi dan evaluasi akhir. Indikator keberhasilan kegiatan dilihat dari hasil observasi terhadap kreatifitas siswa menghubungkan proses 3M (Merumuskan, Merencanakan, Memproduksi) dalam naskah yang dibuat, serta penguasaan konsep melalui hasil tes. Berdasarkan hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas XI IPA memiliki kreatifitas yang tinggi dalam membuat naskah role-playing secara berkelompok, selain itu terjadi peningkatan penguasaan konsep sebesar 45% pada siswa kelas XI IPA. Berbeda halnya pada siswa kelas X yang hanya melihat pementasan role-palying mengalami peningkatan sebesar 15 %. Tingginya tingkat partisifatif siswa selama kegiatan menunjukkan hasil positif terhadap kegiatan, sehingga perlatihan serupa dapat diterapkan pada sekolah  yang lain

Abstract

Manusia adalah manusia dan tidak bisa dipersamakan dengan makhluk yang lainnya, apalagi dengan benda-benda yang bersifat jumud (benda mati). Oleh sebab itu, seorang anak yang terlahir ke dunia bukan seperti kertas putih, karena manusia adalah makhluk hidup yang sudah memiliki fitrah (potensi) dan memiliki perbedaan individu yang menurut pemahaman yang utuh dan komprehensif serta pengakuan dari pendidik, sehingga dapat menghantarkan peserta didiknya ke arah tujuan pendidikan yang diingin-kan. Atas dasar perbedaan ini pendidik memberikan pelayanan terhadap peserta didik. Humans are humans and can not be compared to other creatures, especially with objects that are old-fashioned (inanimate objects). Therefore, a child who is born into the world is not like a white paper, because humans are living beings who already have nature (potential) and have individual differences according to a comprehensive and comprehensive understanding and recognition from educators so that they can deliver their students towards desired educational goals. Based on these differences, educators provide services to students.

Abstract

Simultaneous online learning is carried out at home after the issuance of the Circular of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 4 of 2020 to minimize the spread of the corona virus. Online learning is learning where all or part of the process is carried out online or online. This also has an impact on science lessons in junior high schools in Palembang City. In its application, it cannot be separated from the obstacles faced. This study aims to determine the implementation of online learning in science subjects in terms of creative thinking skills and the obstacles faced in implementing it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were students of class VII and teachers at SMP Negeri 16 and SMPN 30 Palembang. The results showed that the implementation of online learning in science subjects in the aspects of creative thinking skills can still run well even though there are obstacles in its implementation, the results of online learning observations are aspects of creative thinking abilities where the four aspects of creative thinking abilities are carried out with the results of students being creative enough for aspects of fluent skills and flexible skills., creative students for aspects of original thinking skills and creative enough for detail thinking skills. Teachers' obstacles in implementing online learning, especially in fostering creative thinking processes, apart from network constraints, are also obstacles in making questions that foster creativity and stimulate student stimulus because students do not meet face to face. The constraints of students are not only the absence of a network, the absence of quotas, difficulty in answering questions due to lack of understanding of the material and lack of motivation to learn from students.

Abstract

The use of technology and character building for students is an effort that can be made to improve the quality of education. Interactive Electronic Textbooks Based (IETB) that are integrated with Islamic values are able to empower students' brain abilities to think critically, creatively, and practice problem solving skills presented by teachers in class, so that learning objectives can be achieved properly. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of IETB based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application that integrates Islamic values in learning. The methods used in this research are field studies and literature studies. The research subjects were the principal, teachers and students of class XI majoring in science at SMA IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. Literature study was conducted by collecting various relevant sources. Meanwhile, the field study was obtained by going directly to the research location by interviewing the principal and class XI biology teacher as well as distributing needs questionnaires and conducting online learning observations. Based on a literature study, IETB based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application can help students improve creative thinking skills and the integration of Islamic values in learning materials can improve critical thinking skills. The results of the field study found that SMA IT Bina Ilmi Palembang needed IETB to help teachers and students maximize learning and instill Islamic values according to the IISN curriculum used. This product can not only be used in Integrated Islamic Schools but can also be used in other Islamic based schools throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian yang berjudul Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Mata Kuliah Pengetahuan Lingkungan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran PBL terhadap nilai mahasiswa Prodi Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang yang mengambil mata kuliah Pengetahuan Lingkungan. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang. Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang sangat nyata di dalam penerapkan model pembelajaran PBL terhadap nilai kognitif mahasiswa yang dilihat dari nilai sebelum diberikan perlakuan dibandingkan nilai yang telah diberikan perlakuan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai Pre-test dan Post-test memiliki nilai signifiansi sebesar 0,530 artinya sig > dari 0,05. Abstract

Education was a part of the learning process, the wrong learning process can cause students’ learning outcomes become less maximal, one effort in improving students’ learning outcomes was by using the model of learning. Examples are Time Token, Picture Puzzle and Index Card Match. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of student learning outcomes by using Time Token and Picture Puzzle learning models with Time Token and Index Card Match. The method in this research is Quasi Eksperimental method. Data collection techniques used in the form of giving a test of multiple choice questions. The result of this research is the learning model of time token model and Picture puzzle of the preliminary test score 31,72 and the final test is 88,78 and the t value in paired data t test is 34,69. While in the class of time token learning model and index card match has a preliminary test score of 20.28 and the final test of 81.40 and the value of t on the t test of pairwise data 46.69 while the t value in the t test of unpaired data is 4.11. So it can be concluded that there is comparison of learning outcomes between time token learning model and picture puzzle with time token and index card match.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' performance in compiling and preparing lesson plans. This research method is carried out with a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The sample in this study amounted to 15 high school biology teachers in OKU Regency. Data collection methods are done using observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) the behavior of teachers in preparing and compiling lesson plans was largely independent, only relying on lesson plans obtained from other parties such as downloads from the internet, then the lesson plans that were used as references were copied or adopted only; 2) teachers have good knowledge of lesson plans and the steps for their preparation, and teachers prepare lesson plans at the beginning of each semester which is submitted to the school; 3) the quality of the lesson plans prepared by the teacher directly has an average value of 5. In conclusion, the teacher's quality of the lesson plans is still in the poor category. Keywords: Teacher, Performance, Lesson Plans

Abstract

Background: Media pembelajaran adalah seperangkat alat pelengkap yang digunakan oleh guru dalam rangka berkomunikasi dengan siswa. Media dapat mengurangi kepasifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan oleh seorang guru adalah microsoft powerpoint (PPT). Hasil Observasi menunjukkan proses pembelajaran di kelas guru masih menggunakan media powerpoint yang masih monoton membuat perhatian bisa berkurang dan cenderung pasif terhadap pembelajaran biologi. Untuk menghindari kepasifan dari siswa dalam pembelajaran, maka guru harus menyiasati permasalahan tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang menarik bagi siswa dengan dikombinasikan model pembelajaran yakni model discovery learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari media powerpoint (PPT) dengan model discovery learning pada materi pencemaran lingkungan Kelas X di SMAN 4 Palembang agar siswa lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode : Prosedur menggunakan model pengembangan mengacu dari Tessmer self evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews, one-to-one, dan small group). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, wawancara dan angket. Hasil : media powerpoint dengan model discovery learning pada materi pencemaran lingkungan kelas X SMA layak digunakan ditinjau dari validasi ahli media, materi dan pengguna (guru) dengan kriteria layak dan sangat layak. Uji coba satu-satu dan kelompok kecil memiliki hasil dengan kriteria layak dan sangat layak. Kesimpulan: hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan media powerpoint dengan model discovery learning layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Background: Industrial era 4.0 has an impact on the world of education. This affects students, where students can understand subject matter such as biology, which contains abstract concepts such as circulation system material. The teaching materials developed in this study are expected to improve student learning outcomes by integrating guided inquiry learning models. This study aimed to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of guided inquiry-based electronic modules. Method: 4D model development research. Data collection by interview and questionnaire sheet. Result: The module validation of the language validator is 83%, the material is 81%, the media 81% has a good category, while the learning device validator is 96%, the learning validator is 98%, and 94% has a very good category. Practicality is taken from student responses which are divided into three stages: 81% preliminary trial, 89% quantitative trial, and 92% final trial showing a positive response. The effectiveness of this guided inquiry-based electronic module can improve student learning outcomes seen from the N-Gain score results. The control class is 0.38 with medium criteria, and the experimental class is 0.73 with high criteria. While the psychometric results of students who studied using guided inquiry-based electronic modules for three meetings, namely the first meeting 77% (good), the second meeting 91% (very good), and the third meeting 88% (very good). Conclusion: Guided inquiry-based electronic module on circulation system material has a potential effect on improving student learning outcomes
