Abstract

The educational framework in Aceh exists within a broader national system, yet lacks a unified conceptual foundation to guide its various stakeholders. Instead, disparate visions operate in isolation, often left unrealized. A deeper philosophical approach is needed—one that fosters a dynamic and integrated model of education capable of cultivating competent and professional individuals. The overlap and indistinct boundaries between institutions further blur the path to innovation, reinforcing structural inefficiencies. A truly holistic system must transcend the conventional divisions between secular and religious education, creating a seamless integration of knowledge that embodies a higher universal principle. This calls for an overarching governance structure—an entity that dissolves institutional dichotomies and redefines management under a singular, cohesive vision. The persistence of dual systems has perpetuated fragmentation, hindering the holistic development of Aceh’s youth. To move forward, a synthesis of curriculum, policy, and resource allocation must be embraced, uniting all aspects of education under a singular, purpose-driven paradigm.

Abstract

This research explains that since Indonesia's establishment, Pesantren has demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing educational models as the embryo of the education model. During the transition of the educational model, this institution served as a grass-roots institution that provided basic education to people at all levels. Pesantren is competitive in assuring the development of a model of the education system that competes with the numerous models offered by other modern educational institutions. The Pesantren transformation model was examined using qualitative analysis in this study. Concrete data demonstrates that Pesantren as an Islamic institution has matured, with a wide range of options that contribute to the creation of pesantren's basic values as the spirit and culture of Indonesia. The result revealed that Pesantren, an Islamic educational institution, was developed and capable of competing in the face of education transformation needs.

Abstract

This exploratory study examines the certification system of dayah (Islamic boarding schools) within Aceh Province as a strategic initiative aimed at improving the quality of Islamic education and reinforcing institutional governance. The study integrates data from contemporary empirical research, pertinent government regulations (Qanun Aceh No. 9/2018 and Pergub No. 64/2019), and the operational procedures of the Badan Akreditasi Dayah Aceh (BADA). Utilizing a comprehensive approach that encompasses literature review, organizational analysis, and policy evaluation, the findings indicate that accreditation serves as a pivotal mechanism for standardizing administrative processes, enhancing accountability, and advancing the professional development of educators. Nevertheless, the implementation of accreditation encounters challenges including limited resource availability, opposition to modernization initiatives, and conflicts between national benchmarks and local cultural traditions. Employing an exploratory qualitative methodology, the study highlights the imperative for a contextualized accreditation framework that harmonizes national quality standards with the cultural identity and autonomy intrinsic to dayahs. The study concludes with a proposed model to optimize accreditation efficacy through participatory governance, incorporation of digital innovations such as the E-SADA system, and adaptive leadership practices in dayah management.

Abstract

Promoting educational quality demands collaborative involvement among stakeholders outside traditional schooling. The Tripusat concept—comprising school, home, and community—embodies an integrated educational framework that fosters students’ cognitive, social, and character development. This study investigates the effect of Tripusat in improving the quality of elementary education and identifies implementation strategies in primary schools within Aceh Besar Regency. A qualitative method utilising a naturalistic phenomenological design was employed to investigate participants' actual experiences and perceptions of collaborative educational activities. Data were gathered via observations, interviews, and documentation including school principals, educators, parents, and community members. The results indicate that successful collaboration across schools, families, and communities substantially enhances student learning outcomes, fortifies character development, and fosters supportive learning environments. However, obstacles persist, such as insufficient parental engagement, coordination issues, and limitations in institutional capacity, which impede the effective execution of joint initiatives. The study emphasises the necessity of fortifying communication channels, cultivating institutional collaborations, and augmenting stakeholder engagement to optimise the execution of Tripusat. This research presents both conceptual and practical insights for enhancing educational quality via collaborative governance in primary education, along with policy-relevant recommendations for bolstering stakeholder engagement in school-based educational development.
