Abstract

This research aims to examine the aspect of critical thinking among learners from the perspective of the Qur'an, specifically in Surah al-An'am verses 74-79, and its reflection in facing the challenges of the 21st century. This study is a literature review, utilizing a qualitative approach. The analysis was conducted using data from relevant sources related to the issues discussed, such as the Qur'an, books, articles, and research findings. The results of this research indicate that the aspect of critical thinking in Surah al-An'am verses 74-76 can be identified based on six core critical thinking skills, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. The reflection from Surah al-An'am verses 74-79 reveals that the critical thinking abilities expressed in these verses can provide solutions to the challenges arising in the 21st century, especially in the field of education. These competencies can assist in the development of learners' character and ethics, sharpen learners' thinking and analytical skills, enhance problem-solving abilities, and shape analytical skills in line with the demands of the 21st-century workforce

Abstract

Language is essentially sound. In using Arabic, the sound spoken is related to a certain meaning. A person who has a certain language can recognize the sounds that are coupled, so that they are meaningful speeches. In this case, phonology is a branch of language that talks about the sound of language that is able to distinguish the meaning of a word. The problem that was first encountered by someone in learning oral languages, especially foreign languages ​​and regional languages, was the problem of his speech. Before learning the meaning of various words and the grammar to be faced, first he must recognize the sounds used in them. Sound science as a classical science that has received tremendous attention from the Arabs since its inception. It can be seen from what was done by the lugho scholars including Imam Jahidz. He discussed in detail about Arabic phonetics, the sound of the language, the place where the language came out and its characteristics. Thus, the researcher wanted to discuss the above matters mainly about language sounds according to Jahidz, using qualitative descriptive research methods. The result of this study is al-Jahiz’s thought that sound comes from vibration of human body using lips in oral activity, then there is a transition around the lips which moves to the ears and brain, and finally the vibration is called as vocal. It is divided into psychology and physiology.

Abstract

يشعر الجمهور بعدم الدراية نحو مصطلح خدمات التعلم لكونه مفهوما جديدا في سياق التعليم العالي في إندونيسيا. غالبًا ما يُساء تفسير خدمات التعلم أو يتم ربطه بممارسات العمل الميداني أو الدراسات الميدانية أو دراسات الرحلات أو التدريب الداخلي أو ما شابه. في سياق الجامعات التي تقدم برامج تعليمية، يُساء تفسير خدمات التعلم أيضًا ويعتبر متناسبًا مع ممارسة الخبرة الميدانية. ويوجد أولئك الذين يعتبرون خدمات التعلم هي نفسها محاضرات العمل الحقيقي كما تفعل عادةً بجامعة سونان أمبيل الإسلامية الحكومية سورابايا. على عكس أشكال الأنشطة المذكورة أعلاه، فإن خدمات التعلم في الأساس هي شكل من أشكال التعلم التجريبي حيث يحاول الطلاب دمج خدمات المجتمع مع التعلم الذي تم تصميمه في المحاضرات لإثراء مادة المحاضرة. نوع البحث المستخدم هو البحث الكمي الوصفي. يستخدم هذا النوع من المسح الوصفي لوصف السكان محل الدراسة. يركز هذا البحث على السلوك الذي يحدث ويتكون من بيانات متغيرة، ونتائج أنشطة خدمات التعلم في تعلم مواد تدريس اللغة العربية هي أن الطلاب يكتسبون الخبرة والمعرفة، بالإضافة إلى تحسين القدرات الأكاديمية، يمكنهم أيضا تحسين الكفاءة الاجتماعية التي يمكن تطبيقها مباشرة على المجتمع.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to analyze the implementation of differentiated Arabic language teaching modules at MTs Negeri 4 Sidoarjo. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and analysis of related documents. The subjects of the study consisted of Arabic teachers and students in classes using the teaching modules. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis. This study shows that implementing differentiated Arabic language teaching modules improved students' Arabic language skills, especially regarding text comprehension and oral production. The teaching modules designed by considering the differences in students' ability levels allowed teachers to provide a more personalized approach, thus helping students with different levels of ability to develop according to their potential. In addition, the differentiation approach positively increased student motivation and active participation in the learning process. The results of this study provide important implications for the development of the Arabic language curriculum and teaching strategies at the MTs level. Further training is needed for teachers in designing and implementing differentiated teaching modules in order to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students. In addition, this study encourages the development of more innovative and adaptive teaching modules to improve the quality of Arabic language learning in madrasah.

Abstract

Abstract This article discusses the process of Arabic loanwords into Indonesian, categorizing the borrowed words based on the changes in pronunciation and meaning. There are four main categories: (1) Pronunciation and meaning remain the same, (2) Pronunciation changes while meaning remains the same, (3) Pronunciation remains the same while meaning changes, and (4) Both pronunciation and meaning change. This process reflects the dynamic linguistic interaction between the two cultures. The article also explains the history of ta'rib in Indonesia, which began in the 7th century with the spread of Islam, as well as the role of education in introducing Arabic terms. Furthermore, it outlines the forms and examples of ta'rib in daily language, religious terminology, law, and the positive and negative impacts of Arabization. Positive impacts include vocabulary enrichment and ease in understanding scientific terms, while negative impacts include reduced linguistic diversity and the loss of local cultural identity. Thus, ta'rib is a complex phenomenon influencing the development of language and culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study also examines the management of interactive multimedia-based Arabic language teaching development. It evaluates the effectiveness of the teaching material, which uses interactive multimedia-based, in enhancing the learning process of the Arabic language in Islamic universities in Indonesia. Given students' diverse backgrounds, interactive multimedia has proven effective in promoting engagement and independent language acquisition. Pre-test and post-test results from UIN A, UIN B, and IAIN C show significant differences between the results of the experimental group and the results of the control groups. At UIN A (t-count 16.83 > t-table 1.684), UIN B (t-count 14.278 > t-table 1.682), and IAIN C (t-count 9.34 > t-table 1.682), students in the experimental groups demonstrated substantial improvement compared to the control groups. These findings confirm that interactive multimedia effectively enhances student engagement and learning outcomes in Arabic language programs at Islamic universities in Indonesia.

Abstract

The researcher conducted a study at MAN Sidoarjo, grade 10-4 with the aim of increasing students' motivation in learning the Arabic language, because many students have little or no interest in learning the Arabic language, which is considered the most difficult subject to comprehend. To increase this motivation, there is a need for appropriate means to increase this motivation, namely tests. This research utilizes the case study and literature study research methods, which use different elements of the same research at different times. The case study was applied by administering tests to students. The research was conducted by observing the students' condition when learning the Arabic language, i.e. students' motivation decreased to 48%, and with the use of Quizizz media students experienced an increase in students' learning motivation to an average of 73% with an increase in the category of students' learning motivation. The use of quiz media has a significant impact on students' learning motivation. Most of the students fall into the high motivation category, 73.3%. Compared to the low-motivated category of 26.6%.  Therefore, it is highly recommended that teachers use Quizizzizz media as a means of learning Arabic.

Abstract

The development of interactive multimedia CD-based teaching materials is urgent because the learning process in the Arabic Education Department is not 100% done as expected. This can be seen from some indicators that have not been achieved in the teaching and learning process. First, the lecturers teaching the same courses of Arabic language skills do not have the same standards of the competencies that students need to achieve, the learning objectives of each meeting and the assessment. Second, the use of interactive multimedia CDs have not been widely used by all lecturers of Arabic language skills. Third, there was no standard of teaching material used by some lecturers who teach the courses of Arabic language skills despite the findings from previous studies that show 25% of students have general high schools background which cause disparate abilities among students in the department. This study is a reseach and development adopting Sugiono’s development stages combined with ADDIE design model and the ASSURE design model which is then termed as ADDIERE design. This study uses mixed qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of this study are the following. First, there is a set of teaching materials comprising a validated and empirically-proven efective an interactive multimedia CD and book. The book  consists of 12 chapters with each covers four language skills. The CD combines autoplay, wondershare quiz creator, record, Arabic pad tool and text media, audio and images.

Abstract

This research discusses how language continues to evolve along with the development of an era, with terms and vocabulary that did not exist before becoming present. When the Covid-19 pandemic spread worldwide, language underwent a transformation, leading to the emergence of new vocabulary and terms that were previously unfamiliar but became familiar to the public. Because of the continuous communication among humans. Historical linguistics serves as a comparative tool in the context of the historical development of languages, including their linguistic elements. Historical linguistics serves as an analytical tool to address the historical emergence of a language and investigate its relationship with other languages in terms of kinship, examining whether there are similarities within the language 's linguistic context. This research uses a qualitative type of study with a descriptive approach. The research results indicate that the use of Arabic terms during the Covid-19 pandemic corresponds with the conditions that have occurred over time, starting from the time of the Prophet Muhammad, who used the term Tha'un to describe the plague that struck then, followed by the Spanish flu in the 19th century, which was referred to as the Spanish flu pandemic, and in the 21st century, the Covid-19 pandemic, also known as the corona virus.

Abstract

Abstract  In the last few years, technological advances in the current digital era have shown very rapid development. One of them is in translating foreign languages, such as translating Arabic into Indonesian. ChatGPT and Google Translate are human-made intelligence that helps people when translating. This research aims to determine and analyze the differences in translation of Arabic texts into Indonesian using artificial intelligence technology, namely ChatGPT Google Translate. The results of this research are that there are differences in the translation using both and several errors were found. Therefore, the translation requires proofreading to avoid confusion in the meaning of a particular word.Keywords: Translation; ChatGPT; Google Translate.
