Abstract

Tanaman nanas tumbuh subur dan merupakan sentra produksi di Kecamatan Ngancar, yang terdiri 4 desa yaitu Babadan, Besali, Jagul, Kunjang Kabupaten Kediri. Permasalahan yang ada yaitu pemasaran buah dalam bentuk segardan belum dikenal teknologi pasca panen dan pengolahan nanas menjadi produk yang awet disimpan. Tujuan kegiatan untuk coaching dan mentoring teknologi pengolahan nanas kepada kelompok PKK mandiri Desa Babadan Kecamatan Ngancar, Kabupaten Kediri. Metode Pelaksanaan yaitu Pembinaan dan sosialisasi tentang pentingnya ilmu teknologi pasca panen olahan buah nanas menjadi produk yang disukai konsumen dan dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi masyarakat petani nanas juga. .Waktu Pelaksanaan selama 4 hari mulai tanggal 18 Agustus sampai 21 Agustus 2021 di Balai Desa Babadan , Kec. Ngancar Kediri diikuti .peserta 20 orang. Hasil kegiatan yang dicapai adalah target jangka pendek yaitu petani mempelajari dan memahami ilmu teknologi pasca panen dan olahan buah nanas segar menjadi sari buah nanas, selai nanas, dodol nanas. Target jangka panjang adalah menjalin koordinasi dan kemitraan petani dengan pemangku kepentingan terkait seperti akademisi, pihak pemerintah dan swasta. Dapat terbentuk model ekonomi bisnis UMKM berkelanjutan skala nasional.

Abstract

Mangga Podang (Mangifera indica L) merupakan salah satu produk buah unggulan lokal dari Kabupaten Kediri, Jawa Timur. Penampilan tanaman mangga podang tidak berbeda dengan tanaman mangga lainnya.Tanaman umumnya tumbuh tegak dan mempunyai percabangan uang banyak.Rata rata tinggi tanaman 10 m dan lingkar batang berkisar antara 150-210 cm. Bentuk tajuk tanaman seperti paying,berdaun lebat,dan bercabang banyak.Percabangan muncul 2-2,5 m dari permukaan tanah.Warna kulit batang coklat tua dan permukaan batang tidak halus. Bentuk daun jorong dengan warna daun hijau tua,daun muda (pupus) berwarna hijau muda agak kemerahan. Bentuk daun mirip dengan manga Arumanis,hanya lebih sempit dan tidak melebar di tengah. Hasil pengamatan sifat fisik dan kimia buah mangga Podang disajikan pada Buah mangga Podang , yaitu pada umur 100-115 hari dan analisis buah dilakukan mulai 2-22 hari sesudah panen. Tampak bahwa kandungan gula mangga Podang dua hari setelah panen masih rendah dan kandungan asamnya tinggi. Selanjutnya, dengan betambahnya umur simpan, kandungan gula meningkat dan kandungan asam menurun. Pada saat umur simpan lebih dari 15 hari, kandungan gula menurun, demikian juga kandungan asamnya.(2). Penelitian menunjukkan fakta bahwa kulit mangga kaya akan polifenol, karotenoid, serat, vitamin C, dan berbagai senyawa bermanfaat lainnya. Dalam penelitian lainnya dikatakan bahwa mengonsumsi makanan tinggi vitamin C, polifenol, dan karotenoid berisiko lebih rendah terkena penyakit jantung, kanker jenis tertentu, dan penurunan fungsi kognitif otak Selain itu, ditemukan fakta bahwa ekstrak kulit mangga memiliki sifat antioksidan dan antikanker yang lebih kuat daripada ekstrak daging mangga. Kulit buah mangga juga kaya akan triterpen dan triterpenoid, yaitu senyawa yang bermanfaat sebagai antikanker dan antidiabetes. Kulit mangga juga kaya akan serat, bahkan lebih besar dari yang terkandung dalam daging buahnya. Serat merupakan salah satu nutrisi penting yang baik untuk kesehatan pencernaan dan mampu memberikan rasa kenyang yang lebih lama. Berdasarkan pemikiran inilah, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian dengan melakukan kajian efektivitas metode survey yaitu dengan menganalisa kandungan nutrisi, senyawa tanin dan saponin pada limbah kulit Buah Mangga Podang.

Abstract

The rosella plant has antioxidant and coloring compounds that are useful for coloring and aromatic various drinks. The research aimed to study the extraction of essential oils from rosella leaves through phytochemical screening and sensory testing of the oil results. The research method used extraction of essential oil using water steam distillation, color, aroma analysis using the hedonic method, and antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. Results showed the amount of essential oils in leaves is 0.0087% in 1 kg of dry material. Rosella Leaf Oil 25% like the yellow color, 75% like it, 0% dislike it, 30% like the aroma of the leaf essential oil, 70% like it, and 0% dislike it. The antioxidant activity in rosella leaves with concentrations (ppm): of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 ppm (22,5; 29,7;  34,9;  42,13;  44,5;  51, 4)%.  A comparison or control test using ascorbic acid with the same concentration as above showed a percentage of inhibition (37,53;44,16; 51,84; 61,19; 72,45; 88,22)%.  The IC 50 value of ascorbic acid (as a control) is 26.94 ppm and the IC 50 of Rosella leaf extract is 171.27 ppm, which is classified as having weak antioxidant activity in the leaves. The GC-MS results showed essential oil consists cis-3 Hexenyl Acetate (11.50%), 3-Cyclohexene-1-methanol (4.97%), 2-Propenoic acid (2.65%), Linalool 3,7-oxide (2.15%), Methyl 4-methylhexanoate (1,54%), Butanoic acid (0.54 %), 3-Methylpent-3-en-2-ol (0.25%), 1-Hexen-3-ol (0,24%).

Abstract

Pakcoy mustard greens are a type of rain-resistant vegetable. Pakcoy has green leaves with high nutritional content and economic value. One of the efforts that can be made to increase plant production is by providing fertilizer. Fertilization is carried out in order to meet the nutrient needs of plants, so that they can provide high yields, especially using organic fertilizer so that you can use waste as fertilizer. One type of recycled waste that can be used as organic fertilizer is egg shells, tea dregs and banana peels, each of which contains elements that are good for cultivation. Apart from that, pak choy mustard plants have the main problem that causes damage to pak choy, namely destructive pests that eat pak choy leaves such as plutella caterpillars, tritip caterpillars, armyworms, aphids (Aphids), cabbage spanner caterpillars. This research will be carried out from October to December 2023 at the UNISKA Integrated Field Laboratory. With a height of 67 meters above sea level, the temperature is 31.2◦C, humidity is 62.3% and soil pH is 6. Based on the research results, it shows that there is a very real influ.ence on the observed variables of plant height and number of leaves at the age of 14, 21 and 28 DAP, and it has an effect significant in root length at 28 days after planting. Fresh weight, dry weight, and armyworm pest attacks were lowest at P7.

Abstract

Drip irrigation system is one of the solutions to irrigation problems. Drip irrigation applies direct water supply to plant roots. The use of drip irrigation that has been widely used is usually separate from the fertilization or fertigation system. The obstacles that usually occur are blockages in the emitter due to non-homogeneous nutrients and sedimentation. The use of a venturimeter is one solution in fertilization in a drip irrigation system. Fertilizers or nutrients that are distributed in a drip irrigation system have difficulty in determining the right dose due to the mixing of water and fertilizer/nutrients that occurs in the installation pipe. The purpose of this reasearch is to create a design or construction of a venturimeter placement that makes it easier to determine the right fertilizer dose in a drip irrigation system. This research method uses an experimental method with 1 variable, namely the design or design of the venturimeter placement with 2 variables, namely V1: Direct method, V2: Bypass method, with 5 repetitions. The observation variables in this study were the average uniformity of the emitter discharge, the average discharge at the venturimeter input, and the pressure at the venturimeter output. The results obtained were that in the observation of the average uniformity of the CU, the average discharge uniformity reached 98%, while the average output and input venturimeter discharges produced.

Abstract

Sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) is one of the underutilized crops that has been adopted as a food source due to its high nutritional value, which is gradually being recognized as having potential benefits for human health. An initial obstacle to the cultivation of this commodity is seed dormancy, which requires a solution. The objectives of this study are 1) to determine the first count and final count in testing the germination capacity of seeds and suitable germination media. A completely randomized design (CRD) factorial was selected for this study. Factor 1 was P1 (ordinary water), P2 (water at 50 °C), P3 (water at 80 °C), and factor. 2 was M1 = soil:compost (2:1), M2 = soil: Sand (2:1), M3 = Soil:Sand:Compost (2:1:1). Each combination was repeated three times, with each combination consisting of 4 polybags, totaling have 135 polybags. Data were analyzed using F-tests with analysis of variance (ANOVA). If a significant effect was observed, a BNT test (5%) was conducted. Based on the research conducted, there was no significant interaction effect between seed soaking techniques and planting medium composition on germination observation. Breaking dormancy using different water immersion temperatures affects plant height at 21 days after sowing (DAS) and the number of leaves at 7 DAS. 3. Growing medium treatment has a significant effect on the number of leaves, and the M3 medium (soil : sand : compost) shows a significantly better effect compared to the l treatment.

Abstract

Tanaman melon (Cucumis melo L.) membutuhkan ketersediaan air dalam jumlah yang cukup, dan dengan pemberian yang tepat waktu. Keadaan tersebut dapat dicapai dengan penerapan sistem irigasi tetes, karena sistem ini dapat diatur jumlah dan waktu pemberian, sesuai dengan kebutuhan air tanaman melon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi rancangan sistem irigasi tetes dan kebutuhan air tanaman melon varietas Japonika dalam greenhouse. Pada penelitian ini, diamati adalah rancangan sistem irigasi tetes serta kebutuhan air tanaman melon (ETcrop). Dari hasil pengamatan didapatkan hasil efisiensi penggunaan irigasi tetes yang tertinggi pada tanaman melon varietas Japonika yaitu pada lateral 1 sebesar 98,86 %. Sedangkan kebutuhan air pada tanaman melon Varietas Japonika yang tertinggi adalah pada stadia pembungaan yaitu sebesar 6,26 mm/hari.

Abstract

Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is known as a plant whose calyx contain high levels of antioxidant bioactive compounds and good inhibitory power against free radicals. However, other parts of the rosella plant have not yet been utilized for their antioxidant content and activity. The aim of this research is to compare the profiles of essential oils of parts of the rosella plant (seeds, leaves and flower petals) and their antioxidant activity. This research method begins with the process of extracting essential oils using the water-steam distillation method. Furthermore, the profile of the essential oil is known from the results of yield calculations and characterization using the GC-MS instrument. The antioxidant activity was tested using the DPPH method. The yield of essential oils obtained was 0.0107% for seeds, 0.0087% for leaves and 0.0136% for flower petals. GC-MS characterization shows that the most abundant chemical components contained in the essential oils of seeds, leaves, and flower petals are fatty acid compounds (2-propanoic acid, butanoic acid, hexanoic acid) and esters (neopentyl isobutyrate). The results of the antioxidant activity test showed the IC50 value for each essential oil, namely, seeds: 30.15 μg/ml, leaves: 171.27 μg/ml and flower petals: 126.58 μg/ml. The compound characteristics obtained showed the best results for rosella seed essential oil, this was supported by the fairly high antioxidant activity test results IC50 <50 μg/ml. Keywords: Antioxidant activity, Characterization, Essential oils, IC50, Yield.

Abstract

Hibiscus sabdariffa (Roselle) is known to have a strong antioxidant compound. Thus, the calyx becomes the most important area to research. Another part of this plant that was starting to be known for its benefits is rosella seeds. Roselle seeds are a source of fat-soluble antioxidants. The aim of this study was to investigate the antioxidant activity of Roselle Seed Ethanol Extract (RSEE) with the DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2 Picrylhidrazyl) radical scavenging method. This research begins by doing the extraction of Roselle seeds using ethanol (96%) as a solvent and then assessing the antioxidant activity (Radical Scavenging Activity/RSA) of the extract, which is compared with the ascorbic acid standard at several concentrations (5-200 ppm). Antioxidant activity was assessed with DPPH Radical Scavenging using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and IC50 value parameters. The results of this study were the absorbance of DPPH from spectrophotometer at 517 nm was 0,824 (purple color). The absorbance of RSEE and ascorbic acid at 5 ppm to 200 ppm, respectively 0.523-0.124 and 0.594-0.112. The antioxidant activity (RSA) of the RSEE and ascorbic acid, respectively was  57.93% and 59.24%. The IC50 value of RSEE was 30.158 μg/ml and as comparison is ascorbic acid, the IC50 value was 26.948 μg/ml. Thus, the antioxidant activity of roselle seeds ethanol extract (RSEE) belongs to a very strong category (<50 μg /ml). This is due to the presence of several phenolic compounds and unsaturated fatty acid derivatives.

Abstract

Konflik Rusia-Ukraina (2021-2025) memberikan dampak kemanusiaan yang serius bagi anak-anak sebagai salah satu kelompok rentan dalam konflik. Merespons situasi ini, bantuan darurat dan rekonstruksi sosial menjadi langkah penting untuk mencegah implikasi berkepanjangan seperti kerusakan psikososial dan trauma antargenerasi. Tulisan ini mengkaji peran Children of Heroes sebagai LSM internasional dalam menjalankan programnya yang berorientasi pada Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) sebagai bagian dari rekonstruksi sosial bagi anak-anak penyintas konflik. Tulisan ini menjawab program-program MHPSS yang dijalankan oleh Children of Heroes berkontribusi terhadap pemulihan kesehatan mental anak-anak penyintas konflik di Ukraina dalam periode 2022-2025. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain studi kasus kualitatif, dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder yang bersumber dari laporan resmi dan asesmen dampak yang diterbitkan salah satunya dari Children of Heroes dan United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan analisis tematik melalui triangulasi data untuk menjamin keandalan dan validitas. Hasil penelitian kemudian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi Children of Heroes yang berorientasi MHPSS seperti konseling individu, terapi kelompok, dan kamp rehabilitasi menghasilkan penurunan tekanan psikologis, peningkatan fungsi keluarga, hubungan sosial menguat, serta keberlanjutan pendidikan. Dampak intervensi meluas dari pemulihan individu menuju rekonstruksi hubungan sosial dan ketahanan komunitas. Kesimpulan tulisan ini adalah LSM internasional dalam konteks konflik Rusia-Ukraina tahun 2021 hingga 2025 berperan penting dalam pemulihan jangka panjang.
