Abstract

The Tourism sector has become one of the drivers of the regional economy, including in West Nusa Tenggara through the development of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Lombok. The development of this area provides new hope for the welfare of the local community. However, until the development process enters the final stage, there are still pros and cons from the lokal community regarding the development of the Mandalika SEZ. So far, there is no real picture of the perceptions of local communities and their forms of participation in response to these perceptions.This study aims to (1) explore and assess local community perceptions and (2) analyze local community participation in the development of the Mandalika SEZ in Central Lombok. Data were collected using a questionnaire methode, observation and indepth interview from local communities in the three supporting villages of the Mandalika SEZ which had been determined using purposive sampling. The collected data is then analyzed descriptively and interpreted based on literature review. The findings of this study indicate that the local community has a positive perception of the development of the Mandalika SEZ from the enverionmental, socio-culture, and economic aspects. Communities began to be involved and participate in the management of destination. The form of local community participation is classified as consultation within the scope of the Mandalika SEZ development stage, namely two-way communication is established, the local community begins to listen to their ideas and opinions, but the decision and control remains with the developer. Thus, it illustrates that the development of the Mandalika SEZ is currently in the involvement stage and the local community has build their independence in maintaining the conduciveness of the Mandalika SEZ.

Abstract

This background of this research was motivated by visitor dissatisfaction when visiting the Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park (TMSBK) in Bukittinggi City. The Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park is a zoo located in the City of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. This study aims to analyze visitor satisfaction TMSBK. The type of research used in this study is qualitative. The data collected is primary data. The population of this study was respondents who had visited TMSBK. The research sample totaled of 100 visitors. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data from this study were processed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that visitor satisfaction at the Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park Bukittinggi City, indicates that in general it has not met visitor expectations. Visitor satisfaction at the Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park Bukittinggi City, is not achieved in terms of factors and indicators of visitor satisfaction, namely animals and animal enclosures in Poorly maintained TMSBK, unsatisfactory responsiveness of officers to visitors, unavailability of public transportation, unavailability of special parking lots for visitors and unavailability of food court facilities where locl business actors sell goods in the TMSBK area. It can be described that visitor satisfaction based on TMSBK respondents’ assessment has not provided satisfaction to visitors.

Abstract

EWOM given by other consumers in a sharing review platform or community can influence consumers' purchase intentions. TripAdvisor as an online review site that provides access for its customers to write a review. On the TripAdvisor site, people who want to share their experiences are required to become regular users and have their TripAdvisor account first and it is known that 65% of respondents see hotel reviews before making a booking. Thus, high ratings and good reviews from customers can create profits for hoteliers as EWOM can help hotels attract new customers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of EWOM on room purchase intention in Badung Regency and the role of Tripadvisor website brand image in mediating the relationship between EWOM and room purchase intention. This research method uses a quantitative approach and Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis. The population determined in this study is the Indonesian population with a sample of 180 respondents in accordance with the provisions of the sample calculation. The equation models analyzed are the outer model, the inner model and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of calculations using PLS-SEM software, the results show that there is no significant effect between the effect of EWOM on room purchase intentions, there is a significant effect of brand image on EWOM, the brand image of the Tripadvisor site has an effect on room purchase intention and there is a significant influence on brand image the Tripadvisor website as a media to mediate the influence of EWOM on room purchase intentions in Badung Regency. The implication of the results of this study shows that hotels around Badung Regency must maintain professionalism in improving the quality of services and facilities provided to tourists so that they can increase the value of reviews on the Tripadvisor site.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the procedure for paying supplier debts on accounts payable for the period January-December 2023 at Hotel X. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative based on data collection from interviews and observations. This research was motivated by the delay in payment of debts to suppliers. The research conducted at Hotel X revealed that delays in debt payments were caused by the fact that the procedures for paying debts to suppliers at Hotel X were not implemented according to the concept. The receiving department does not provide a received stamp on the invoice, there is a price adjustment on the invoice so the payable account cannot record the invoice. There is no cost controller, so no one checks the documents before they are submitted to the accounts payable department. The Accounts Payable section delays several tasks, such as not completing supporting documents when recording debts. The cashier's department is not involved in making payments to suppliers, so the accounts payable department has more responsibility. This research helps to provide management with suggestions and solutions to minimise the problems and impacts that occur so that objectives can be achieved.
