Abstract

Globalization and technological advancements require the banking sector to maintain high-quality human resources to remain competitive. Bank Sulselbar Mamuju Tengah Branch has experienced a decline in organizational performance over the past five years, which is suspected to be influenced by inadequate training design, limited on-the-job training, and ineffective delivery styles in employee development programs. This study aims to examine the effects of training design, on-the-job training, and delivery style on organizational performance through the mediating role of training and development at Bank Sulselbar Mamuju Tengah Branch. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 permanent and contract employees, and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that training design, on-the-job training, and delivery style significantly affect both training and development, as well as organizational performance. Moreover, training and development play a mediating role in strengthening the relationship between independent variables and organizational performance. Training and development are crucial in enhancing organizational performance. Therefore, the management of Bank Sulselbar is recommended to improve structured training design, increase the implementation of on-the-job training, and adopt more interactive and employee-centered delivery styles.

Abstract

Manajemen sumber daya manusia (MSDM) merupakan faktor strategis dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan, khususnya pada lembaga pendidikan Islam seperti madrasah. Guru dan tenaga kependidikan berperan sebagai aktor utama dalam proses pembelajaran dan layanan pendidikan, sehingga pengelolaannya harus dilakukan secara sistematis, terencana, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam implementasi manajemen sumber daya manusia dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru dan tenaga kependidikan di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Darud Da’wah Wal-Irsyad Baru–Baru Tanga (MAS DDI BBT), Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi dengan informan utama kepala madrasah, pengelola yayasan, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan penekanan pada pemaknaan pengalaman subjektif partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi MSDM di MAS DDI Baru–Baru Tanga dilaksanakan melalui fungsi pembinaan dan pengembangan, promosi dan pengangkatan jabatan, pemberian kompensasi, serta penilaian kinerja. Meskipun belum didukung oleh standar operasional prosedur yang formal, praktik manajemen berbasis nilai keislaman, kekeluargaan, dan pengabdian mampu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, dan sosial guru serta mendukung efektivitas layanan administrasi madrasah. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan sistem MSDM yang terstruktur tanpa mengabaikan konteks sosial dan religius madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among contract employees at PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk, Makassar. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlation-causality approach. The study population was all contract employees, with a total sampling technique, resulting in a sample size equal to the population, namely 51 employees. The research instrument was a psychological scale developed based on the theory of Bass and Avolio for the transformational leadership variable, and the theory of Organ, Podsakoff, and MacKenzie for the OCB variable. The results showed that transformational leadership positively influenced employee OCB. The higher the implementation of transformational leadership, the higher the tendency for employees to display extra-role behaviors that support organizational effectiveness. Employee perceptions of transformational leadership were high, as reflected in aspects of idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention. Similarly, employee OCB levels were also high, as demonstrated through the dimensions of altruism, conscientiousness, sportsmanship, courtesy, and civic virtue. These findings reinforce transformational leadership theory, which emphasizes the importance of leaders in shaping positive employee behavior. Practically, the results of this study provide implications for companies to continue to develop transformational leadership styles as a strategy to improve employee OCB behavior, so that it can support the achievement of organizational goals more effectively.
