Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the obstacles to the implementation of science practicum for grade V elementary school students.This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The population in this study were ten students. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, that is, all members of the population are sampled. The sample, all fifth grade students and fifth grade teachers were used. The number of questionnaires used were 10 statements given to students and 10 questions were given to the fifth grade teacher for interviews. The interview data were described by summarizing the results, while the questionnaire analysis used descriptive analysis techniques with percentage calculations. From interviews with teachers, it was found that the implementation of the experiment in fifth grade was still lacking because it was rare to carry out the experiment and there were many obstacles in terms of tools and materials as well as the practical guide. The results of the student questionnaire, 40% of students stated that the implementation of the experiment went quite well, while 60% of the students stated that the implementation of the experiment was not going well, in the sense that the implementation of the experiment was rarely carried out by the teacher. The obstacles to implementing practicum are mainly the lack of tools and materials for practicum, the absence of a special place practicum, not having special guidance for practicum and the lack of teacher readiness in teaching practicum because there is no special practicum guide.

Abstract

English has become an important international language in communication between countries, business, technology, and access to educational resources around the world. In this case, English language skills are not only a necessity, but also a competitive advantage in facing global competition. However, unfortunately, English learning for Selat village students is currently still not achieving maximum results due to the low interest in learning and motivation of students in learning English vocabulary. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of increasing children's understanding of basic English vocabulary in Selat Village through the application of Game Based Learning (GBL) with Crossword media. The method used is PALS (Participatory Action and Learning System), namely a participatory approach that involves students and teachers in planning, implementing and evaluating learning actions. Initial problem identification indicates low mastery of English vocabulary and lack of student motivation. The improvement plan is in the form of implementing Game Based Learning using crossword puzzles. The results showed a substantial increase in students' understanding and memorization of English vocabulary, with students' positive response and enthusiasm for this learning method. The conclusion of this research is that Game Based Learning using crossword puzzles is effective in increasing students' understanding of basic English vocabulary in Selat Village.

Abstract

Covid-19 mengakibatkan dampak yang buruk bagi kehidupan masyarakat dunia.Semua kegiatan yang dikakukan di luar rumah menjadi terganggu dan terbatas. Tidak terkecuali dalam bidang pendidikan, proses belajar mengajar di lakukan secara terbatas di sekolah. Dengan kondisi yang seperti ini siswa memiliki waktu yang lebih banyak di rumah. Nah ini adalah momentum bagiorang tua agar melakukan penguatan pendidikan karakter di lingkungan keluarga. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah yang pertama, untuk mengatahui nilai – nilai karakter apa saja yang ditanamkan dalam lingkungan keluarga selama pandemi Covid-19 ini. Kedua, untuk mengetahui bagaimana para orang tua menanamkan nilai – nilai karakter tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunkan metode penlitian deskriptif kualitatif dan pengumpilan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dengan mengambil tempat penelitian di lingkungan desa Kedisan. Dari hasil wawancara di lapangan peneliti menemukan bawasanya nilai – nilai karakter yang ditumbuhkan para orang tua pada situasi pandemi ini adalah (1) Nilai karakter religius, (2) Nilai karakter mandiri, (3) Nilai karakter disiplin, (4) Nilai karakter tanggung jawab, (5) Nilai karakter jujur, (6) Nilai karakter kreatif. Penanaman nilai – nilai karakter ini di lakukan dengan cara pembiasaan kegiatan orang tua dan anak dalam kehidupan sehari – hari selama pandemi berlangsung. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19 tidak selamanya memberikan dampak negatif bagi kelangsungan hidup manusia, namun ada hikmah didalamnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka di sekolah dasar nomor 2 Pangsan mulai dari tahap perencanaan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, proses pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka dan bagaimana proses evaluasi pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di Sekolah Dasar Nomor 2 Pangsan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun subjek penelitian kali ini adalah siswa kelas II dan guru wali kelas II yang mengajar di kelas II SD NO 2 Pangsan tahun 2024. Sumber data untuk penelitian ini adalah data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan sumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, metode wawancara terstruktur dan metode dokumentasi. Tahapan penelitian ini dilakukan dengan persiapan penelitian, pelaksanaan penelitian dan penyelesaian penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif model miles & huberman yang terdiri dari tiga tahap reduksi data, penyajian data penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SD NO 2 Pangsan sudah berjalan dengan baik, akan tetapi ada beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, guru dituntut untuk menjadi lebih kreatif dalam mempersiapakan media ajar dan juga modul ajar yang sesuai dengan materi yang akan disampaikan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKabupaten Bangli, Provinsi Bali, memiliki 13 Sekolah Menengah Keguruan (SMK) yang tersebar di 4 Kecamatan. Pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan merupakan bagian penting dari kurikulum di SMK tersebut. Namun, belum ada kantor resmi untuk organisasi MGPM PPKN di Kabupaten Bangli, dan guru-guru PPKN menghadapi kendala dalam mengembangkan buku ajar digital berbasis flipbook. Dalam rangka mengatasi permasalahan ini, dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat Pemula (PMP) dengan pendekatan berbagai metode seperti sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, evaluasi, dan keberlanjutan program. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini ialah memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terhadap guru membuat buku ajar digital berbasis flipbook dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva dan heyzine. Kegiatan ini melibatkan guru-guru PPKN SMK di Kabupaten Bangli. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman guru-guru PPKN tentang pembuatan buku ajar digital berbasis flipbook menggunakan aplikasi Canva dan Heyzine. Mereka juga berhasil membuat beberapa buku ajar PPKN berbasis flipbook, yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah di Kabupaten Bangli. Kegiatan PMP ini memberikan dampak positif dalam menyegarkan dan memperbarui pemahaman guru-guru PPKN tentang pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan. Saran untuk ke depan adalah melanjutkan pendampingan dan pelatihan serupa serta memperluas dampak positif ini ke wilayah lain di Provinsi Bali. Kata kunci: buku ajar digital berbasis flipbook; guru PPKn; teknologi pendidikan ABSTRACTBangli Regency, Bali Province, has 13 Teachers' Secondary Schools (SMK) spread across 4 sub districts. Learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education is an important part of the curriculum at the vocational school. However, there is no official office for the MGPM PPKN organization in Bangli Regency, and PPKN teachers face obstacles in developing flipbook-based digital textbooks. In order to overcome this problem, Beginner Community Service (PMP) activities were carried out using various methods such as socialization, training, mentoring, evaluation and program sustainability. The aim of this service activity is to provide knowledge and understanding for teachers to create flipbook-based digital textbooks using the Canva and Heyzine applications. This activity involved PPKN SMK teachers in Bangli Regency. The result of this activity is an increase in PPKN teachers' understanding of creating flipbook-based digital textbooks using the Canva and Heyzine applications. They also succeeded in making several flipbook-based PPKN textbooks, which can improve the quality of learning in schools in Bangli Regency. This PMP activity has had a positive impact in refreshing and updating PPKN teachers' understanding of the use of technology in education. Suggestions for the future are to continue similar assistance and training and expand this positive impact to other areas in Bali Province. Keywords: digital textbooks based on flipbooks; PPKN teachers; educational technology

Abstract

ABSTRAKProyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) menjadi prioritas utama dalam dunia pendidikan karena banyaknya penyimpangan karakter, seperti kekerasan, intoleransi, dan maraknya bullying di lingkungan sekolah. Bullying merupakan perilaku yang tidak diharapkan terutama pada lingkungan sekolah karena bully termasuk salah satu perilaku agresif. Selain rendahnya pendidikan guru dan lokasi sekolah di pelosok, PWP Surya Dhyana Kresna juga mengalami masalah keterbatasan fasilitas pembelajaran, keterbatasan media pembelajaran, serta permasalah bullying. Kondisi tersebut sangat mengkhawatirkan, jika tidak diberikan edukasi sedini mungkin kepada siswa, orang tua, dan guru tentang bahaya bullying. Untuk mengatasi hal itu, perlu dilakukan pengabdian “Ratu Dongeng” Anti-bullying. Program ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan P5 dan mencegah bullying yang terjadi di PWP Surya Dhyana Kresna, serta meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam manajemen kelas. Metode Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui metode PALS (participatory action learning system). Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) pelaksaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat mengatasi permasalahan manajemen kelas yang dialami oleh guru-guru PWP Surya Dhyana Kresna, (2) pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat mengatasi bullying dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru, orang tua, serta siswa dalam penguatan karakter, serta penguatan profil pelajar pancasila (P5). Kata kunci: ratu dongeng; antibullying; profil pancasila. ABSTRACTThe Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) is a top priority in the world of education because of the many character deviations, such as violence, intolerance and widespread bullying in the school environment. Bullying is unwanted behavior, especially in the school environment because bullying is an aggressive behavior. Apart from low teacher education and school locations in remote areas, PWP Surya Dhyana Kresna also experiences problems with limited learning facilities, limited learning media, and bullying problems. This condition is very worrying, if education is not provided as early as possible to students, parents and teachers about the dangers of bullying. To overcome this, it is necessary to carry out anti-bullying "Fairy Tale Queen" services. This program aims to strengthen P5 and prevent bullying that occurs at PWP Surya Dhyana Kresna, as well as improving teacher skills in classroom management. This service method is implemented through the PALS (participatory action learning system) method. The results of this service show that (1) the implementation of this community service can overcome classroom management problems experienced by PWP Surya Dhyana Kresna teachers, (2) this community service can overcome bullying and can increase understanding of teachers, parents and students in strengthening character, as well as strengthening the profile of Pancasila Students (P5). Keywords: ratu dongeng; antibullying; profil pancasila.

Abstract

Literacy skills are a crucial foundation for the academic development of elementary school students. However, the limited literacy facilities in rural schools, such as at Bayung Gede Public Elementary School, have led to a low interest in reading among students. This community service activity aims to assist the school in establishing a reading corner as a means to enhance the literacy culture. The implementation method used a participatory approach over three months (August–October 2025), involving teachers and fifth-grade students in the planning, creation, utilization, and evaluation of the reading corner. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' reading interest, evidenced by the growing habit of reading outside class hours, active participation in class discussions, and enthusiasm for bringing extra books from home. Teachers also became more creative in integrating the reading corner into daily literacy activities. Therefore, the assistance in creating the reading corner proved effective in fostering a literacy culture in elementary schools. This program can be replicated in other schools, especially in rural areas with limited facilities, as an effort to expand the school literacy movement.

Abstract

The student exchange program is one of the valuable academic experiences as it not only broadens perspectives but also opens opportunities to interact directly with the culture, language, and daily life of people in other countries. In this activity, I, as a student from the Markandeya Bali Institute of Technology and Education, had the opportunity to teach Indonesian language in Thailand as part of an effort to introduce the Indonesian language and culture to foreign students. The main objective of this activity was to help Thai students understand and use Indonesian in a fun, communicative way, and in accordance with their needs at the initial stage of learning. The learning process was carried out using a communicative approach through visual media, language games, and conversation exercises, enabling students to understand the meaning and contextual use of the language. The results of the activity showed very positive development. Students became more confident in speaking Indonesian and were able to grasp basic vocabulary well. The interactive learning atmosphere also sparked their enthusiasm in learning about Indonesian culture. In addition to benefiting the students, this activity also provided a valuable experience for me as a future educator in understanding cultural differences in learning and the challenges of cross-language communication. This experience emphasizes that language education is not only about mastering linguistics but also plays a role as a bridge to strengthen international relations and foster mutual respect through educational diplomacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine Social Studies learning in developing students’ character at the elementary school level. The research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The findings from the literature review indicate that Social Studies learning tends to contribute to the development of elementary school students’ character, particularly when implemented through contextual, participatory, and student-centered learning approaches. Various studies emphasize that IPS content not only provides knowledge about social, cultural, economic, and historical aspects but also encompasses moral and humanitarian values that can be internalized through appropriate teaching strategies. This study is expected to offer a theoretical contribution in the form of a systematic literature synthesis and a practical contribution as a reference for teachers and curriculum developers to optimize the role of IPS as a vehicle for character education in elementary schools.
