Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik masih rendah. Hal ini terlihat dalam hasil Trends in Mathematic and Science Study (TIMSS) edisi terbaru pada tahun 2015, Indonesia menempati peringkat ke-20 dari 44 tingkat Internasional pada kategori bernalar (Kemendikbud, 2017). Kemudian dalam studi pendahuluan dengan rata-rata skor peserta didik adalah 26,5. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pertama untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik MI kelas V yang memperoleh pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran di kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah peserta didik MIS Miftahul Huda dan Sampel yang digunakan hanya dua kelas yaitu VA dan VB. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah MIS Miftahul Huda Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan tes, kemudian hasil tes tersebut akan dianalisis menggunakan pengujian statistik yaitu uji normalitas, uji hmogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian yaitu, Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik pada pokok bahasan skala di kelas eksperimen lebih baik secara signifikan dari pada kelas kontrol. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil rata-rata N-gain atau peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,49 dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,26. Kemudian hasil rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 55,0 dan kelas kontrol 40,8.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes between those who use flip chart media and those who use pictures media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) through two cycles and in each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The sample in this study were all students of class V-A MI At-Taqwa Rancaekek. The data collection technique was carried out with a Double Choice test (DC), observation sheets, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used by researchers are descriptive analysis for qualitative data and statistical analysis for quantitative data. This can be seen from the increasing value of the average activity of students and educators in each cycle. Student activities during cycle 1 amounted to 68.8% with less information, then student activity increased in cycle 2 by 84.3% with good information. Then the activities of educators in cycle 1 amounted to 86% with good information, then the activities of educators in cycle 2 amounted to 93% with very good information. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa antara yang menggunakan media lembar balik (flip chart) dengan yang menggunakan media gambar. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan melalui II siklus dan pada setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelakasanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V-A MI At-Taqwa Rancaekek. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes Piihan Ganda (PG), lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu analisis deskriptif untuk data kualitatif dan analisis statistik untuk data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa antara yang menggunakan media lembar balik dengan yang menggunakan media gambar. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari meningkatnya nilai rata-rata aktivitas siswa dan pendidik pada setiap siklus. Aktivitas siswa pada saat siklus 1 sebesar 68,8% dengan keterangan kurang, kemudian aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan pada siklus 2 sebesar 84,3% dengan keterangan baik. Kemudian aktivitas pendidik pada siklus 1 sebesar 86% dengan keterangan baik, kemudian aktivitas pendidik pada siklus 2 sebesar 93% dengan keterangan sangat baik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of obstacles that occur in the online learning process. Obstacles that occur can lead to not achieving the competencies that must be possessed by students. The purpose of this study is to describe the teacher's perception of online learning, the implementation of online learning, the obstacles to online learning, and the inhibiting factors of online learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on Miles and Huberman. The results show that teachers think online learning is the right strategy to use during the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation is only in the form of assignments via whatsapp groups. The obstacles include decreased student enthusiasm for learning, students' difficulties in understanding learning material, and the lack of maximum learning provided. The inhibiting factor for online learning is in the learning device such as cellphone.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is how to improve student learning outcomes in learning al-Qur;an and Hadith in class II MI Al-Hidayah. This can occur because the learning process rarely uses modern methods and always uses conventional methods that do not actively involve students in the learning process. The characteristics of students are different so that the method is not suitable and results in student learning outcomes not reaching the maximum limit. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that students' learning outcomes before using the fun learning method were still low. This can be seen from the average score obtained which is 49.5 and the classical learning completeness is only 15%. The learning process using the fun learning method was well implemented. This can be seen from the average percentage value of student activity in cycle I obtained by 64.3% and increased in cycle II with an average percentage value of 85.27%. Likewise, teacher activity in cycle I obtained an average percentage value of 55.5% and increased in cycle II with an average percentage of teacher activity of 83.5%. The student learning outcomes after the application of the fun learning method in cycle I obtained an average score of 67.50 and increased in cycle II with an average score of 80.75. So it can be concluded that using the fun learning method can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Class II of MI Nurul Falah Kota Cimahi, which is caused by the Indonesian language learning process still being teacher-centered, with teachers following the habit of directly presenting the material and then evaluating students through exercises. The aim of this study is to improve students' learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject, specifically in the topic of "denah," using the problem-based learning model in Class II of MI Nurul Falah Kota Cimahi. This research is a Classroom Action Research focusing on actions to improve students' learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject, specifically in the topic of "denah," using the Problem-Based Learning model in Class II of MI Nurul Falah Kota Cimahi. The results of the action research conducted by the author in two cycles resulted in an increase in student learning mastery. In the pre-cycle, 10 students passed with a percentage of 38% and an average score of 59.04%. In Cycle I, this increased to 16 students with a percentage of 62% and an average score of 69.40%, and in Cycle II, it further increased to 26 students with a percentage of 100% and an average score of 80.00%. This proves that the implementation of the problem-based learning model in Indonesian language learning, specifically in the "denah" topic, can improve students' engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred at this time had an impact on the world of education, including the education systwm in Indonesia. Traditional and routine learning that emphasizes the interaction of teachers and students in the classroom and outside the classroom has shifted to distance learning, this of course has positive and negative impacts on students, but what is very visible is the negative impact that arises from students. That is seen from the declining affective abilities of students such as the lack of independence and responsibility of students in learning. This study aims to determine the implementation of distance learning, students’ affective abilities in distance learning. The research method used is a mix method with a concurrent embeded strategy, which combines data analysis and quantitative and qualitative approaches simultaneously, namely the primary approach is qualitative approach and a secondary quantitative approach. This research was conducted at MI Cokroaminoto Banyuresmi Garut with the main research subjects students and teachers, while the principal and parents of students as supporting subjects. This study found that the implementation of distance learning carried out at MI Cokroaminoto was offline and online, the affective abilities of MI Cokroaminoto students showed differences from before and after the pandemic. The affective ability of students in the implementation of distance learning shows the attitude of student discipline, student responsibility, student independence, and student interest and attention shows not well during the process of implementing distance learning.

Abstract

The preliminary reading comprehension test revealed that 25 students scored below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), while 3 students scored above it, with an average score of 51.15. This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension using the Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) strategy, supported by series image media. A quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group was used, consisting of three groups: the first experimental group using KWL with series image media, the second experimental group using KWL, and the control group applying conventional methods. The ANOVA test showed a significant difference with a p-value of 0.004 (p < 0.05). The average posttest scores were 83.00 for the first experimental class, 80.47 for the second experimental class, and 74.30 for the control class. The n-gain scores indicated high categories for both experimental classes (0.78 and 0.75) and a medium category for the control class (0.68). These results suggest that the KWL strategy significantly enhances students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the STEM approach on energy material for 4th-grade elementary/middle school students in order to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The STEM approach was chosen because it is considered effective in integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to enhance 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The method used is qualitative research with a Research and Development (RnD) approach, adapting the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. The development process was carried out through learning needs analysis, the design of LKPD, and validation by experts in content, media, language, and STEM. The research results show that the developed LKPD has valid quality and can be applied in learning to enhance students' understanding of energy material with a contextual and interactive approach.

Abstract

This research aims to develop STEM-based teaching materials for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fourth-grade elementary school students. This development is carried out to meet the needs of 21st-century education. This research method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model stages. This research uses qualitative and quantitative data. This research was conducted in the 4th grade of MI Baiturrahim. The data collection technique in this study used interviews with the 4th grade teacher, expert validation questionnaires including material, media, language, and STEM expert, as well as student response questionnaires after using STEM based teaching materials. The results of the validation test on the content feasibility aspect received a score of 87%, the graphic of 82%, the presentation of 79%, the language of 94%, and the STEM pf 100% and 97%. all validation test results from the 5 validators fall within the criteria of feasible. The score of all student responses after using STEM based teaching materials on a limited and broad scale received a score of 95% with very good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the extent to which the implementation of the inquiry-based learning model impacts students' creative thinking skills in science subjects. A quantitative approach was adopted, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group structure. A total of 52 fifth-grade students from a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Bandung City were purposively selected as participants. They were assigned into two groups, comprising 26 students each in the experimental and control classes. An instrument consisting of 8 essay items was administered during both the pretest and posttest phases to assess students’ creative thinking skills. The findings indicated a statistically significant enhancement in the experimental group following the application of the inquiry model, with a posttest average score of 77.8 and an N-Gain of 0.67, classified within the moderate category. These findings affirm the effectiveness of the inquiry approach in fostering divergent thinking and enhancing students’ adaptability in problem-solving. This study offers a practical contribution in providing evidence-based recommendations for elementary science instruction, emphasizing the integration of inquiry-based strategies to cultivate students’ higher-order creative thinking competencies.
