Abstract

Introduction: School performance and instructional quality are directly impacted by the managerial competencies that principals must develop through effective training. In today's changing educational environment, strengths-based and resilience-building techniques are crucial, but they are frequently not integrated into traditional training paradigms. Together with Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and Grit, the ADDIE framework provides a thorough method for creating durable leadership skills that are in line with the objectives of global development. Objective: Using the ADDIE framework in conjunction with Appreciative Inquiry and Grit, this study attempts to create a training management model for school principals that is focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in order to enhance their managerial skills. Methods: Expert interviews, focus groups, and observations were used to gather qualitative data using a mixed-methods methodology in the context of research and development (R&D). N-Gain Score computations, paired-sample t-tests, and validity testing were used to assess quantitative data. The participants were purposefully chosen high school principals from the North Sumatra Region I Education Office. Results: With an Aiken's V of 0.90, the created SDGs training management model showed high validity. With an N-Gain Score of 0.73, which is considered strong, the model clearly enhanced managerial competencies. While the Grit component improved resilience and tenacity in handling managerial obstacles, the Appreciative Inquiry component promoted strengths-based leadership. Results indicate that combining ADDIE with AI and Grit results in a versatile and successful training approach that fosters long-term leadership growth. By focusing on resilience and positive capabilities, this method differs from traditional problem-focused training and meets the demands of modern educational leadership. The model's versatility and potential for digitization further increase its suitability for use in a range of educational settings. Conclusions: An inventive SDGs-focused training management strategy for school principals that incorporates ADDIE, Appreciative Inquiry, and Grit was successfully created and validated by the study. By encouraging strengths and resilience, this model successfully improves managerial competences and provides insightful advice for legislators and educational institutions looking to improve principal leadership.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan student engagement pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kelas V SD Negeri 200106 Padangsidimpuan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian korelasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V A dan V B, SD Negeri 200106 Padangsidimpuan berjumlah sebanyak 37 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik Total Sampling, dikarenakan populasi terbilang kecil maka peneliti mengambil semua populasi dalam penelitian ini untuk dijadikan sampel.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah observasi dan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk variabel Self Efficacy (X) dan variabel Student Engagement (Y) yaitu berupa angket tertutup dengan skala likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat self-efficacy siswa berada pada kategori sedang cenderung rendah, dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 54,16. Sementara itu, tingkat keterlibatan siswa juga berada pada kategori rendah, dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 54,37. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dengan student engagement, dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,971. Berdasarkan pedoman interpretasi koefisien korelasi, nilai ini termasuk kategori "sangat tinggi", yang berarti hubungan tersebut tidak hanya signifikan secara statistic. Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat self-efficacy siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran IPAS, khususnya pada fokus ilmu sosial.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in music subjects through the use of recycled instrument media. The research employed an experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The population consisted of 33 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 107415 Tanjung Sari, all of whom were selected as the research sample. The research instrument was a performance skill test assessing aspects of beat and tempo accuracy, rhythmic pattern consistency, playing technique, and students’ self-confidence. The instrument had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and the Paired Sample t-Test for hypothesis testing. The results showed that the mean pretest score was 43.56 (low category), while the mean posttest score increased to 76.14 (good category). The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, and the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of recycled instrument media is effective in improving students’ psychomotor learning outcomes in rhythmic pattern material. This study provides empirical evidence that the implementation of innovative and contextual learning media can significantly enhance students’ skills and understanding. Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Eksperiment yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning Berbasis Audiovisual Pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas V SDN.060908 Medan Kecamatan Medan Denai, pada semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026 yang berjumlah 23 siswa terbagi dalam dua kelas yaitu V-A dan V-B. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar siswa dengan pre-test dan post-test serta data hasil observasi. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu analisis deskriptif, analisis inferensial yang terbagi menjadi dua yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan bantuan SPSS 25 dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 78,70. Dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol 56,35. Sedangkan hasil analisis statistik infrerensial dari hasil thitung yang telah dilakukan diperoleh sig (2-tailed yakni 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000<0,05), karena signifikan lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka H0 di tolak atau Ha diterima, yang berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning Berbasis Audiovisual pada mata pelajaran IPAS terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN.060908. Dari hasil analisis ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPAS pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

This study employed the ADDIE development model to develop an Augmented Reality-based Interactive Map learning media on the topic of biodiversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia for Grade V students at SD Negeri 104204 Sambirejo Timur in the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The research subjects consisted of 20 fifth-grade students, 2 expert validators to assess the validity of the media, and 1 classroom teacher to evaluate its practicality in IPAS learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. The validation results from material and media experts indicated that the Augmented Reality-based Interactive Map learning media was categorized as highly feasible, with high percentages based on content, design, and language aspects. The practicality test conducted by the teacher and students also showed that the media was highly practical for use in learning, as reflected in students’ positive responses with assessment percentages above 90%. The evaluation results revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by the comparison between pre-test and post-test scores. The average pre-test scores were in the low category, while the post-test scores increased to the very good category after the implementation of the learning media. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Augmented Reality-based Interactive Map learning media is highly feasible and practical to be used in IPAS learning and is effective in improving students’ understanding of biodiversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the scientific literacy skills of fifth-grade students of SDN 064037 Medan Tembung on the material of changes in the state of matter. The research method used is a quasi-experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 50 students consisting of 28 students in the experimental class and 22 students in the control class. Data collection on scientific literacy skills was carried out through a test instrument that focused on indicators explaining phenomena scientifically. Data analysis techniques used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's Test homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test with the help of the SPSS version 27 program. The results of the data analysis showed a significant effect of the application of the Problem Based Learning model on students' scientific literacy skills. This was evidenced by the results of the posttest data t-test which obtained a significance value of 0.03 for the experimental class with an average of 79.10, higher than the control class with a significance value of 0.04 and an average of 71.81. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the PBL learning model has a significant effect on improving the scientific literacy skills of fifth grade students at SDN 064037 Medan Tembung.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze inquiry-based learning in science instruction toward students' critical thinking skills at SDS Pelangi. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of two fifth-grade teachers as key informants, ten fifth-grade students, and one principal as supporting informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings revealed that teachers understood inquiry-based learning as a learning process that actively involved students in discovering concepts through observation and experimental activities. The implementation of inquiry-based learning encouraged students to participate in observation, investigation, discussion, and conclusion drawing during science learning. Students' critical thinking skills were reflected in the indicators of interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation, which developed through meaningful learning experiences.
