Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of the kapok tree (Ceiba pentandra) as a symbol of cultural identity and tradition in the community of Gapura Tengah Village, as well as the challenges faced in preserving local culture. The research method employed includes in-depth interviews with community members and participatory observation. The findings indicate that the kapok tree serves not only as a natural resource but also as a representation of the values and beliefs of the community. Traditions associated with this tree, such as the lobaran celebration, play a crucial role in transmitting local wisdom values to younger generations and strengthening social bonds among community members. However, challenges to cultural preservation arise due to the influences of globalization and rapid social change. This study recommends that the community continue to engage younger generations in cultural activities and integrate education about local culture into school curricula to maintain the continuity of cultural identity amidst changing times.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the 7 Kejora Literacy Community Program on the academic and non-academic potential of students at MA Al-Huda. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation over three months. The results indicate that this program successfully enhances students' reading interest, writing skills, and critical thinking abilities. Students’ achievements in poetry competitions and published works illustrate significant development in their literacy skills. Moreover, the program has contributed to improving students’ communication skills, which are essential for interactive learning. These findings align with modern literacy theories emphasizing the integration of critical thinking and communicative abilities in education. This study recommends the continuous development of literacy programs and their implementation in other schools to maximize their positive impact in shaping a literate young generation ready to compete in the information era.

Abstract

This study explores the construction and historicity of cultural identity in Kampung Kasur Pasir in an effort to preserve the traditional values of the Legung Timur Village community. Using a qualitative approach through observation methods, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, this study finds that social interactions, community values, and historical elements significantly contribute to the formation of a dynamic cultural identity. The active participation of the younger generation in cultural activities, such as rituals and traditional celebrations, is seen as key to preserving traditions amid the challenges of modernization and globalization. The research results show that the people of Kampung Kasur Pasir not only maintain traditional rituals but also adapt new elements relevant to contemporary developments. Additionally, awareness of the importance of cultural preservation as an instrument of social solidarity is highly relevant. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective cultural preservation policies and encourage local initiatives in celebrating and maintaining a rich cultural heritage.

Abstract

In this research, it will focus on Building Character Education awareness through Student Service Period (MPS) activities at MA Putra Nasy'atul Muta'allimin Gapura Timur, Sumenep Regency. This MPS is an activity to build awareness of character education and social sensitivity as well as students' social participation skills. The Student Service Period is held in order for students to learn directly from the community. This research is a field research (field research) with qualitative form and literature by collecting data, as well as examining references related to the subject being studied, both papers, books, newspapers, journals, peper as well as interviews using an anthropological approach which means doing study the history of the emergence of MPS by looking at the theoretical framework used in analyzing data or facts, which revolves around the problems faced related to the implementation of this MPS activity. The result is that the Santri Service Period is able to build social-community sensitivity, build awareness of the importance of character education from direct experience in society and is able to make students more skilled and independent. Abstract

Pemudaran rasa nasionalisme sering kali beririsan dengan tumbuhnya paham radikalisme yang dapat mengancam stabilitas sosial di masyarakat. Fenomena ini semakin terasa di daerah-daerah multikultur seperti Kecamatan Dungkek, Sumenep, yang memiliki keragaman budaya, etnis, dan agama. Dalam konteks ini, radikalisasi dapat berkembang subur jika rasa nasionalisme tidak ditanamkan dengan baik sejak dini. Untuk itu, PAC GP Ansor Dungkek, sebagai organisasi pemuda tingkat lokal, berperan aktif dalam upaya menanamkan semangat nasionalisme guna mencegah penyebaran paham radikal di kalangan masyarakat, khususnya Generasi Z. Melalui pendekatan studi kasus, penelitian ini menggali lebih dalam mengenai strategi yang diterapkan oleh PAC GP Ansor Dungkek dalam membentuk dan memperkuat rasa nasionalisme di tengah masyarakat yang multikultur. Temuan-temuan tersebut pertama Pembentukan Sikap Nasionalisme di antaranya adanya (1) Kegiatan Sosial dan Keagamaan dan (2) Peneladanan terhadap Tokoh Masyarakat; kedua Dampak dari Pembentukan Sikap Nasionalisme yaitu Meningkatnya Kesadaran Cinta Tanah Air.

Abstract

Monday Thursday fasting is one of the sunnah worships, while students are one of the groups who are considered very devout in worship. At the Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School in the Lubangsa Putra area. The phenomenon of students who fast on Mondays and Thursdays is commonplace. Although it is not actually recommended and obligatory in Islamic Boarding Schools. Monday Thursday fasting is a sunnah worship recommended by the Prophet Muhammad saw., because of the benefits and advantages for those who practice it. One of the benefits of Monday Thursday fasting makes its practitioners peaceful people and can feel what the poor feel, and people who do not have food. So that fasting becomes one part of Islamic religious worship because fasting is riyaḍah or practice of leaving bad things to get closer to Allah Swt. This study aims to reveal two things: First, what is the spiritual motivation for undergoing Monday Thursday fasting for students at the Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School in the Lubangsa Putra area. Second, what is the spiritual impact of Monday Thursday fasting felt by students at the Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School in the Lubangsa Putra area. The author is based on the phenomenological method with Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory regarding the drive of a person's behavior, and Imam al-Ghazali's Sufism regarding the spiritual level of people who fast to the spiritual experience of people who fast on Mondays and Thursdays. This study produces two conclusions that First, Feeling the spiritual motivation felt by students starting from intrinsic motivation, because of the desire from within, as well as a strong will to fast, and extrinsic motivation such as from the environment, and family which drives their spiritual motivation. Second, According to the experience felt by students who fast on Mondays and Thursdays, it can make spirituality within them grow in getting closer to Allah Swt.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the development of research on Civic and Citizenship Education (CCE) over the past three decades and to explore future research directions. The study addresses a gap in the existing literature, which has yet to comprehensively map thematic trends, institutional affiliations, and contributions from developing countries in the field of CCE. A bibliometric approach was employed using data from the Scopus database, analyzing 1,444 articles published in reputable academic journals, with the assistance of Biblioshiny and VOSviewer tools. The results indicate that CCE has gained increasing global attention, predominantly from countries with well-established education systems. Indonesia ranks seventh with 109 publications, yet no Indonesian institution appears among the top ten affiliations, highlighting opportunities for Indonesian scholars to enhance their contributions. The study also identifies emerging themes such as the digitalization of civic education, the role of social media, and inclusive approaches. This research is expected to provide new directions for the development of civic education policies and practices at the global level. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perkembangan penelitian civic and citizenship education (CCE) selama tiga dekade terakhir dan mengeksplorasi arah penelitian di masa depan. Studi ini mengisi kesenjangan dalam literatur sebelumnya yang belum secara komprehensif memetakan tren topik, afiliasi institusi, dan kontribusi negara-negara berkembang dalam bidang CCE. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan bibliometrik dengan data dari database Scopus, menganalisis 1.444 artikel yang diterbitkan di jurnal akademik bereputasi, dengan bantuan perangkat Biblioshiny dan VOSviewer. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa CCE semakin mendapat perhatian global dengan dominasi dari negara-negara dengan sistem pendidikan mapan. Indonesia berada di peringkat ke-7 dengan 109 publikasi, namun tidak ada institusi Indonesia dalam 10 besar afiliasi teratas. Hal ini menunjukkan peluang peningkatan kontribusi akademisi Indonesia. Studi ini juga menemukan tren topik seperti digitalisasi pendidikan, peran media sosial, dan pendekatan inklusif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan arah baru bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan kewarganegaraan secara global.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic role of Pancasila as a living ideology in addressing the rising challenges of radicalism and intolerance in the era of digital globalization. The increasing spread of radical ideologies through social media, along with the growing exclusivist attitudes within Indonesia’s multicultural society, demands an adaptive and applicable ideological approach. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using literature review techniques. The findings indicate that collaboration among state institutions, civil society organizations, and educational institutions is crucial in grounding the values of Pancasila within public and digital spaces. Deradicalization strategies that emphasize ideological education, media literacy, and humanistic approaches have proven more effective in fostering tolerance and preventing the spread of extremist ideologies. This study affirms that Pancasila must continuously be revitalized through cross-sectoral, concrete actions to remain relevant and influential in preserving national unity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi upaya yang dilakukan oleh Sekolah Perempuan Kobher dalam meningkatkan pengasuhan ramah anak di Desa Matanair Rubaru, Sumenep. Pengasuhan ramah anak merupakan pendekatan yang menekankan pada kepentingan terbaik anak, mencakup kesejahteraan, keselamatan, dan pemenuhan kasih sayang secara berkelanjutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, menggabungkan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Sekolah Perempuan Kobher menerapkan berbagai strategi untuk memperkuat pola pengasuhan ramah anak. Strategi tersebut meliputi program pendidikan untuk orang tua, dialog pengasuhan ramah anak, dan pelatihan intensif. Program pendidikan orang tua bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai metode pengasuhan yang positif dan non-kekerasan. Dialog pengasuhan ramah anak berfokus pada pentingnya ikatan emosional serta manajemen perilaku anak secara konstruktif. Selain itu, pelatihan yang diselenggarakan menghadirkan narasumber ahli untuk memberikan wawasan yang relevan dan aplikatif bagi para orang tua. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh Sekolah Perempuan Kobher menunjukkan dampak positif dalam perubahan pola pengasuhan orang tua yang terlibat, dengan penekanan pada metode disiplin yang lebih positif dan membangun. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengasuhan ramah anak di komunitas Desa Matanair Rubaru, serta menjadi referensi berharga bagi penelitian lanjutan di bidang pendidikan dan pengasuhan anak.

Abstract

Tradisi Macapat di Desa Kolpo, Kecamatan Batang-Batang, Kabupaten Sumenep, Madura, menyimpan kekayaan budaya yang mencerminkan dinamika sosial masyarakat lokal, khususnya dalam representasi perempuan. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana perempuan direpresentasikan dalam tembang Macapat tradisional Desa Kolpo melalui pendekatan studi gender dan analisis tekstual. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis isi terhadap syair-syair Macapat yang masih hidup dalam tradisi masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi perempuan dalam Macapat Kolpo menampilkan kompleksitas peran gender yang mencakup aspek domestik, spiritual, dan sosial, dengan nuansa yang berbeda dari stereotip umum tentang perempuan dalam budaya patriarkal. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pemahaman tentang konstruksi gender dalam tradisi lisan Madura dan potensinya sebagai ruang negosiasi identitas perempuan lokal.
