Abstract

Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and Geographical Information Systems are two spatial soil erosion analysis models because both have a spatial context. As an important factor, soil erodibility is crucial in determining soil erosion, with C-organic significantly influencing the K value. The main aim of this study is to characterize soil erodibility and soil loss based on spatial simulation of the effects of soil C-organic in a GIS environment. Research findings indicated that by simulating within a GIS environment, C-organic can affect soil erodibility and erosion. Low C-organic levels can increase soil erodibility, while high C-organic levels can decrease it. A reduction in C-organic by 10%, 20%, and 30% will increase K by 1.10%, 1.17%, and 1.21%, respectively. Conversely, adding 10%, 20%, and 30% C-organic will decrease K by 1.12%, 1.27%, and 1.46%, respectively. A 10%, 20%, and 30% increase in C-organic can reduce soil loss by 1.2%, 1.3%, and 1.5%, while a reduction in C-organic will increase soil loss by 1.1%, 1.2%, and 1.3%, respectively. A low K value indicates slight erosion, while a high K value suggests high erosion. Continuous C-organic and properly managing vegetation are necessary to maintain and improve soil quality.

Abstract

The rapid pace of digital transformation across industries requires all sectors, including the automotive service industry, to adopt technology in order to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Management Information System (MIS) for CV XYZ, a workshop that has been relying on manual methods for its transaction and data recording processes. These manual practices have led to problems such as delayed recordkeeping, risk of data loss, and inaccurate inventory information. To address these issues, this research adopts a qualitative approach combined with the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes speed and flexibility in system development. The process involves analyzing user needs, designing user interfaces, implementing the system, and conducting system testing. The results show that the developed web-based MIS significantly improves data management related to services, spare parts, mechanics, and transactions in a faster, more accurate, and integrated manner. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) conducted with the business owner revealed a 100% satisfaction rate with all developed system features. These findings indicate that implementing the MIS not only increases the operational efficiency of the workshop but also supports data-driven decision-making in real time. Theoretically, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the RAD method in the context of system development for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and it serves as a reference for similar initiatives in other sectors.

Abstract

The implementation of the helpdesk information system at University XZY in Surabaya plays a crucial role in supporting the management of complaints from students and academic staff. However, several issues have been identified, including inadequate user data verification mechanisms, potential privacy violations due to open access to complaint reports by other users, and the absence of a structured incident resolution report. These challenges impact the performance and integrity of the information system. To address these problems, this study aims to design an audit working paper using the COBIT 2019 framework, specifically focusing on DSS02 (Managed Service Requests and Incidents), DSS03 (Managed Problems), and DSS04 (Managed Continuity) to evaluate and improve the system. The findings indicate that all three domains are at capability level 3 (Defined), which implies that processes are documented but not yet measured consistently. This study produces an audit working paper, improvement recommendations, and an implementation cost estimation, which can serve as a strategic reference for university XYZ in enhancing the quality, security, and sustainability of its helpdesk system.

Abstract

The Internship Information System (IIS) at XYZ University plays a key role in managing student internship administration but faces challenges such as data access issues, inaccurate information, and delayed updates. The transition to a new system occurred without evaluating IIS performance, risking similar problems in the future. This study aims to design an audit working paper based on COBIT 2019’s Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess (MEA) domain to systematically evaluate IIS performance, control, and compliance aspects. A qualitative case study approach was applied, using interviews, observations, and document analysis at the Directorate of Cooperation, Information Technology, and Data Center. The results indicate weaknesses in performance monitoring, control documentation, and compliance reporting. The proposed audit working paper, consisting of process documents, checklists, and audit steps, is applicable as an internal audit tool. This study concludes that the MEA domain of COBIT 2019 is effective as a foundation for developing audit instruments for information systems in higher education.

Abstract

The Medan City Ministry of Religion Office is a state ministry that provides Rare animals are animals that are few in number and very rarely found. An animal is said to be rare if its population is decreasing rapidly and the number worldwide is less than 10,000. Natural factors or those influenced by human activities cause animals to become rare and endangered, for example low reproductive rates, insufficient types of food available, habitat destruction, or illegal hunting. From this, there are several problems that can be identified in the introduction of rare and endangered animals in Indonesia. Most people do not know or know about the rare and endangered animals in Indonesia. Apart from that, there is still very little digital media that provides informative and interactive information. This has resulted in a lack of public knowledge about rare and endangered animals. Therefore, the aim of this research is to build an Android-based information system to make it easier for the public to obtain information on endangered animals in Indonesia. The system development method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method which consists of planning stages, design workshops and implementation. Meanwhile, the tool used by the author in creating information system designs visually is UML (Unified Modeling Language). This Android-based information system was built using Kodular tools and the Firebase database. Abstract

This study aims to study the effect of response speed and quality of information provided in the customer service system via Facebook on the effectiveness of Mama Donuts' SME sales. Data were collected through surveys and analysis using statistical methods to test the effect of each variable both partially and simultaneously. From the analysis conducted, it was found that both response speed and information quality have a positive and significant impact on sales effectiveness. Partially, it was found that with a faster response time, better information to help answer questions significantly increased sales effectiveness with a significant value (sig) of less than 0.05. Simultaneously, both variables have a strong influence with a correlation coefficient value of 0.906 and an R2 of 81.6%. This means that these variables can explain most of the variability in the effectiveness of Mama Donuts' SME sales. These results strengthen the argument that faster responses and better information quality positively impact Facebook sales effectiveness, thus providing a sales performance strategy for SMEs.
