Abstract

Digital transformation requires higher education institutions to integrate academic, research, and community-service data into systems that are efficient, traceable, and easy to use. This study reports the further development of an integrated web-based information system at Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi to strengthen the management of Tri Dharma activities. The study applied a Research and Development design combining qualitative needs identification with quantitative post-development user evaluation. Initial needs were identified through observation and interviews with five lecturers and five education staff. The improved system integrated activity data, strengthened monitoring and reporting, and added research-budget management functions, including budget-component input, PDF export, financial approval, and revision notes. The developed system was subsequently evaluated by 28 respondents selected from a population of 30 users using a five-point Likert questionnaire consisting of 15 items. The overall mean score was 4.45, which falls within the 'strongly agree' category. The highest mean score was 4.57 for easier access to academic information and support for research management, while data security received the lowest mean of 4.25 but remained in the same category. The findings indicate that the continued development improves usability, data-management efficiency, and institutional coordination while highlighting security as a priority for further enhancement.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Human Capital Information Systems (HCIS) and Employee Self-Service (ESS) in a virtual office environment to enhance employee performance. Using a qualitative exploratory case study, data were collected through interviews with 12 participants, system observations, and document analysis, and interpreted using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Human Capital Theory. Findings show that HCIS–ESS integration improves administrative efficiency, work flexibility, and HR service quality. Employees perceived the system as useful and easy to use, supporting continued adoption. Key challenges included unstable internet connectivity, limited system customization, and varying digital literacy. Successful implementation required organizational readiness, leadership commitment, clear standard operating procedures, and continuous technical support. This study contributes qualitative evidence on digital HRM transformation through HCIS–ESS integration in virtual work environments.

Abstract

Schools have a responsibility to manage their finances in accordance with applicable financial management principles, such as transparency, accountability, fairness, and efficiency. At Sutera State High School No. 2, financial management involves various funding sources allocated to a number of budget items, thus requiring an integrated and structured management system. To support cash flow control and the provision of accurate and timely financial information, an information system is needed that can generate financial reports in real time and be accessed by authorized decision-makers. This study aims to design a web-based accounting information system that can support the school’s budget management and implementation processes. The method used was the research and development (R&D) approach, employing the waterfall system development model. After the system design and testing phases were completed, the researchers collaborated with school officials to provide training and guidance on using the system. The research results show that the web-based financial information system developed simplifies cash flow management for financial staff and allows the principal to access financial reports directly. Thus, the designed system supports the realization of more transparent, effective, and accountable financial management at Sutera State High School No. 2. In addition to making it easier to prepare financial reports, this system also helps minimize data entry errors and speeds up the process of presenting financial information. It is hoped that this web-based accounting information system will serve as a solution to support more modern, efficient, and sustainable school financial management.

Abstract

Digital technology has transformed students’ reading practices by shifting engagement from printed materials toward digital media. Wattpad provides access to diverse digital texts, predominantly fiction and user-generated content; however, its relationship with university students’ reading behavior requires further examination. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Wattpad use on the reading behavior of students in the Library and Information Science Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed. The study population comprised 250 students, from whom a sample of 71 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with SPSS. The findings indicate that both Wattpad use and students’ reading behavior were categorized as good. Wattpad use had a positive and statistically significant effect on reading behavior, explaining 36.3% of its variance (R² = .363). These findings demonstrate that engagement with Wattpad contributes meaningfully to students’ reading behavior. The study highlights the potential of Wattpad as a complementary digital reading medium for promoting reading engagement and strengthening digital literacy initiatives in higher education.

Abstract

This study presents a conceptual design of an ESP32-based patient visitor counting system for healthcare registration units and its potential use as a practical learning medium for Medical Records and Health Information (RMIK) students. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) was used to structure the design into inception, elaboration, construction, and transition activities. The resulting conceptual outputs comprise a registration-area layout, system architecture, flowchart, wiring diagram, and 16×2 LCD display design. The proposed architecture uses an ESP32 microcontroller, two HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors for sequential detection of inbound and outbound movement, a 16×2 I2C LCD for local display, and a buzzer for event feedback, with Wi-Fi connectivity reserved for future IoT-based monitoring. The study does not report experimental prototype performance; therefore, detection accuracy, counting error, response latency, detection distance, and inbound/outbound classification accuracy remain to be validated through physical implementation and repeated trials. The contribution is primarily an application-oriented conceptual architecture connecting automated visitor-flow monitoring in healthcare registration with technology-supported RMIK education

Abstract

Digital transformation plays a critical role in strengthening disaster management systems, particularly in disaster-prone countries such as Indonesia. Despite the availability of several government-led digital platforms, limited systems integrate volunteer coordination, health workforce mapping, and logistics tracking within a unified framework. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a web-based information system designed to empower disaster volunteers by integrating volunteer profiling, healthcare human resource availability, logistics documentation, and public education features. A mixed-methods descriptive analytical design was employed. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews to identify system requirements and operational challenges, while quantitative data were obtained from structured questionnaires completed by 71 of 75 health-background from TAGANA Rajawali Indonesia Foundation members and at least one disaster respon experience. Descriptive non-parametric analysis informed system design and feature prioritization. Results showed that 100% of respondents supported the development of a digital coordination platform, 94.7% preferred WhatsApp integration for communication, and 86.7% were willing to contribute as digital resource persons for public education. The developed system integrates real-time manpower mapping, logistics tracking, donation management, multimedia documentation, and reporting dashboards. This model addresses a critical gap in volunteer-centered digital disaster management and strengthens community-based preparedness by improving coordination efficiency, transparency, and public health resilience.

Abstract

Patient non-compliance in undergoing treatment can increase the risk of therapy failure, transmission, and drug resistance. To analyse the treatment adherence strategies of tuberculosis patients through the information, motivation, behavioural skills (IMB) approach. The research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consists of tuberculosis patients in Serdang Bedagai Regency who were selected using the cluster random sampling technique at several community health centers. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on the variables of information, motivation, and behavioural skills, and then analysed by using structural equation modelling (SEM). The indicators of non-compliance are divided into three main components. The information component includes understanding tuberculosis, increasing nutritional intake, and cough and sneeze etiquette; the motivation component includes exercise and sunbathing, social interaction, and family support; the behavioural skill component includes regular control, mask use, sputum disposal etiquette, and medication schedules. The main findings indicate that information and motivation influence behavioural skills, with the impact of information being stronger than that of motivation. This study concludes that the IMB approach can be used as a basis for strategies to improve medication adherence among tuberculosis patients through the reinforcement of accurate information, sustained motivation, and the formation of regular medication behaviour.

Abstract

Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post) is a community-based platform for maternal and child health services, yet manual recording can constrain data quality, reporting timeliness, and routine monitoring. This community-engaged implementation evaluation developed and field-tested an offline digital Posyandu application across 12 Posyandu sites in Rawakalong Village. The system integrates records for children under five and pregnant women, growth monitoring, immunization scheduling, monthly reporting, and local data storage. Development proceeded through needs assessment, iterative system refinement, functional testing, cadre validation, training, and field monitoring. Pre- and post-training evaluation recorded an 80% increase in cadre digital-literacy performance. During implementation, recording speed increased by 63%, data-entry errors decreased by 45%, and monthly reporting time was reduced from three to five days to less than 24 hours. The findings indicate that an offline, locally deployable digital health-information system can support cadre capacity and improve operational efficiency in community-based maternal and child health services. Because the evaluation did not directly measure parental health literacy or child-development outcomes, the contribution is interpreted in terms of information management, cadre digital literacy, and service efficiency rather than direct parent- or child-level effects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze patient data security within a cloud-based midwifery information system using the Health and Risk (H&R) approach. While digital transformation in midwifery services enhances the availability and accessibility of patient information, it simultaneously introduces risks regarding confidentiality, integrity, privacy, and unauthorized access to health data. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 100 healthcare professionals who use the cloud-based midwifery information system as respondents. Data collection was conducted via a questionnaire covering five security dimensions: confidentiality, integrity, availability, access control, and privacy. Analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and a risk assessment based on a combination of probability and risk impact. The results indicate that the overall level of data security falls into the high category, with a mean score of 3.998. The availability dimension achieved the highest score at 4.18, followed by confidentiality at 4.12 and integrity at 4.05. Meanwhile, access control scored 3.86, and privacy was the lowest-scoring dimension at 3.78. Risk analysis revealed that unauthorized access and data breaches posed the highest risks, each with a risk score of 20. The findings demonstrate that cloud implementation has supported the availability of midwifery information; however, strengthening access controls, privacy protection, authentication, audit trails, encryption, and user security awareness remains essential. This study recommends periodic, risk-based security evaluations to enhance patient data protection and the reliability of the midwifery information system.

Abstract

Ketepatan quantity take-off menjadi bagian penting dalam penyusunan estimasi biaya proyek jembatan karena perbedaan kuantitas yang relatif kecil dapat menghasilkan selisih biaya yang besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi perbedaan volume beton, berat penulangan, dan estimasi biaya antara hasil perhitungan konsultan dan quantity take-off berbasis Building Information Modeling pada pekerjaan struktur bawah Proyek Pembangunan Duplikasi Jembatan Pulau Balang Bentang Pendek. Elemen yang dianalisis meliputi pile cap, abutmen, dan pier. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Model dikembangkan menggunakan Autodesk Revit 2025 berdasarkan Detail Engineering Design dan gambar penulangan. Model diklasifikasikan setara Level of Development 350 untuk tujuan quantity take-off desain dan divalidasi melalui pemeriksaan bentuk, dimensi, elevasi, material, serta konfigurasi tulangan terhadap dokumen proyek. Volume dan berat material dari model dikalikan dengan harga satuan pekerjaan yang sama dengan perhitungan konsultan. Persentase deviasi dihitung dengan menggunakan hasil konsultan sebagai nilai pembanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan volume beton berbasis BIM sebesar 7.856,61 m³ dan volume konsultan sebesar 7.980,50 m³, dengan deviasi 123,89 m³ atau 1,552%. Berat penulangan berbasis BIM sebesar 1.288.896,49 kg dan hasil konsultan sebesar 1.323.863,47 kg, dengan deviasi 34.966,98 kg atau 2,64%. Estimasi biaya berbasis BIM sebesar Rp106.501.240.602,40, sedangkan estimasi konsultan sebesar Rp108.425.279.653,20. Selisih estimasi mencapai Rp1.924.039.050,80 atau 1,775%. Nilai tersebut merupakan selisih estimasi dan belum menunjukkan penghematan aktual karena belum dibandingkan dengan as-built quantity serta biaya akhir proyek. Hasil quantity take-off BIM juga bergantung pada kelengkapan pemodelan kait, panjang penyaluran, sambungan lewatan, tulangan tambahan, dan elemen konstruktif lainnya. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BIM dapat digunakan sebagai alat verifikasi kuantitas dan estimasi biaya, tetapi hasilnya tetap memerlukan audit model dan pemeriksaan terhadap dokumen teknis.
