Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of visionary leadership in Islamic education and its impact on the character development of students at MTs Negeri 6 Kebumen. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The subjects of the research consist of the school principal, teachers, and students who are directly involved in the implementation of visionary leadership. The results indicate that the application of a value-based vision oriented towards Islamic teachings has successfully created a learning environment that supports the character development of students, as evidenced by improvements in discipline, responsibility, and social awareness among the students. The novelty of this research lies in its deeper focus on the integration of value-based vision in Islamic educational leadership, as well as a holistic approach to building student character. This study is expected to contribute to the development of educational leadership theory and its practices, and to serve as a reference for other educational institutions in implementing effective visionary leadership.

Abstract

A common phenomenon in micro-leadership practices across various work environments is poor communication between leaders and team members. Many leaders fail to recognize the importance of open and honest two-way communication and lack the skills to convey instructions or expectations clearly. This study aims to examine in depth how effective communication skills, open communication, and clear communication play a role in supporting the practice of micro leadership (micro leading). The research method used is a literature study, by analyzing various scientific sources, including reference books and national as well as international journal articles relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that effective communication includes the ability to deliver messages accurately, empathetically, and to build two-way dialogue. Open communication creates a participatory space that fosters trust and psychological safety within the team. Meanwhile, clear communication ensures that each member understands their roles, tasks, and expectations accurately. These three aspects support one another and form an essential foundation for the success of micro leadership in building a solid, adaptive, and productive team.

The planning phase emphasizes the development of programs aligned with the school's work plan (RKM), the enhancement of human resources via training, and the improvement of facilities to facilitate digital services. The implementation employs three methodologies: classroom-based literacy incorporating digital tools into education; school culture-based literacy utilizing digital collections and social media advocacy; and community-based literacy through partnerships with external stakeholders. Abstract

This research aims to understand the influence of digital technology on national leadership by identifying opportunities, analyzing challenges, and providing recommendations for policy makers in facing changes triggered by digital transformation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method through literature study to analyze the impact of digital technology on national leadership based on credible and relevant sources. Advances in digital technology bring significant opportunities in leadership by enhancing more effective communication, supporting transparency, and facilitating accurate, data-based decision making. These opportunities include accelerating communication in leadership, increasing transparency in government, and utilizing data for more informed decision making. On the other hand, the application of digital technology in government also faces various challenges, such as cyber security, digital access gaps between regions, as well as ethical and data privacy issues that need to be addressed to ensure the transformation is effective and inclusive. Digital technology has a significant impact on national leadership by creating opportunities such as accelerated communications, increased transparency, and data-based decision making, but also faces serious challenges such as digital access gaps, cybersecurity, and data privacy that require attention and a holistic approach.

Abstract

This article examines the learning design of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on democratic and multicultural values, which can be the answer to the identity crisis experienced by the younger generation in the modern era. In the midst of the influence of globalization, technological development, and increasingly complex cultural and religious diversity, religious education is required to be more than just conveying doctrine. This approach offers learning experiences that encourage active participation, open dialogue, and reflection on students' social reality. Using a qualitative approach, this research was conducted through literature studies and case studies in schools that apply democratic values in Islamic education learning. The results show that this learning model is able to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere, strengthen a sense of empathy, and shape the character of students who are open to differences. The role of the teacher also becomes very important, namely as a value companion and dialogue facilitator, not just a text teacher. Although promising, the implementation of this approach still faces obstacles such as limited teacher understanding, lack of policy support, and lack of contextualized teaching materials. Therefore, cross-stakeholder cooperation is needed to ensure that religious learning is able to form a generation that is religious, tolerant, and ready to coexist in a diverse society.

Abstract

The transformation of school management towards a collaborative model grounded in participatory organizational culture is essential to address the challenges of developing relevant and adaptive curricula in modern education. The prevailing centralized management patterns in Indonesian schools limit the participation of school members in curriculum decision-making, resulting in curricula that are less contextual and do not fully meet students’ need. This study applies a qualitative approach using literature review and descriptive-analytical methods to examine various theoretical and empirical studies. The findings indicate that implementing participatory culture, collaborative leadership, open communication, continuous training, and a consistent culture of evaluation and improvement are fundamental to creating a responsive curriculum. Schools adopting participatory management are proven to be more adaptive to change, enhance a sense of ownership, and strengthen collaboration among all school components. The study concludes that transforming organizational culture towards a participatory model is a key strategy for developing contextual, effective, and sustainable curricula, and is capable of improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This research examines the strategic role of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in implementing Islamic microeconomic principles amid globalization challenges and opportunities. Pesantren not only function as religious educational institutions but also possess significant potential as drivers of local economic development based on Islamic values such as justice, sustainability, and wealth distribution. This study highlights the integration of Sharia principles into pesantren economic practices through concepts such as productive waqf, Sharia-based cooperatives, and community empowerment. Main challenges include limited human resources, lack of access to capital, and the need for technological adaptation. However, globalization also offers opportunities through digitalization and increased public awareness of Islamic economics. By adopting maqāṣid al-sharīʿah theory, institutional economics, and social innovation, pesantren can develop sustainable, inclusive, and competitive economic models. This research recommends improving Islamic financial literacy, utilizing digital technology, and building strategic collaborations to support Islamic microeconomic development in pesantren environments.
