Abstract

This study aims to analyze education as a form of human capital investment using empirical data from the Annual Report of Sekolah Alam Indonesia (SAI) Cipedak for the 2023–2024 academic year. The analysis focuses on five key indicators of educational investment. These include program implementation, student character and soft skill development, literacy and numeracy outcomes, teacher development, and the structure of educational costs. The study uses a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach based on secondary data. The findings show that program implementation reached 98 percent. Literacy and numeracy performance increased consistently over the past three years. Character assessment covered three domains. These include moral values, leadership, and thinking skills. The cost structure shows major allocation to teacher development and learning programs. These results indicate that education at SAI Cipedak generates significant academic and non-academic benefits and provides measurable investment returns through improved student competencies and learning quality. The findings also reinforce the theoretical perspective that education functions as a core mechanism for building human capital. The study implies that schools should strengthen financial planning and teacher-development strategies to maximize the long-term value of educational investment.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology offers significant opportunities in digital content production, but its improper use for hoaxes and deepfakes on social media platforms leads to adverse effects, such as damaging reputations, spreading false news, and jeopardizing information security. This paper examines criminal liability for AI misuse by considering legal aspects, difficulties in verification, and the effectiveness of regulations in Indonesia, while emphasizing the need for adaptive rules to prevent manipulated content.The main discussion includes the concept of AI as a system capable of independent learning, hoaxes as inaccurate data disseminated, and deepfakes as techniques for altering media to resemble the original. The deepfake case involving President Prabowo illustrates the real dangers. The classification of criminal acts encompasses practices of fraud and defamation. The application of relevant articles in the Indonesian Criminal Code is evaluated, although challenges in proof include technical and legal obstacles. Criminal accountability involves penalties for individuals and corporations. Gaps in legislation urge regulatory changes to align with AI advancements.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of coping strategies in future anxiety among fresh graduates who are undergoing the transition from higher education to the workforce. A competitive labor market and increasing unemployment rates among university graduates may contribute to heightened future anxiety in this population. This study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling. The participants consisted of 289 fresh graduates who had completed their studies within the last 0–2 years. Data were collected using the Dark Future Scale to measure future anxiety and a coping strategies scale based on Carver’s framework, which includes problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, and less useful coping. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26.0. The results indicated that coping strategies, both simultaneously and partially, did not have a significant role in predicting future anxiety among fresh graduates. These findings suggest that future anxiety is more strongly influenced by external and structural factors rather than individual coping mechanisms. This study provides empirical evidence that enriches the literature on post-graduation psychological dynamics and offers a foundation for future research to explore other relevant predictors of future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi dan kinerja tim di perusahaan manufaktur, dengan menggunakan pendekatan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dari 50 anggota tim kerja di sektor logam, elektronik, dan otomotif di kawasan industri Purwakarta dan Karawang. Hasil pengujian model struktural mengungkap temuan utama bahwa Gaya Kepemimpinan Transaksional (GKTS) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Motivasi Tim (koefisien jalur = 0,575; p < 0,05) dan Kinerja Tim (koefisien jalur = 0,628; p < 0,001). Sebaliknya, Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Dukungan Pemimpin tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Analisis mediasi mengindikasikan bahwa Motivasi Tim berperan sebagai mediator parsial dalam hubungan antara GKTS dan Kinerja Tim. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam konteks lingkungan manufaktur Indonesia yang berorientasi target dan bertekanan tinggi, pendekatan kepemimpinan transaksional—yang menekankan kejelasan tujuan, umpan balik, dan sistem reward kontingen—merupakan gaya yang paling efektif untuk mendorong motivasi kolektif dan pencapaian kinerja. Implikasi penelitian memberikan panduan praktis bagi manajemen dalam mendesain program pengembangan kepimpinan yang kontekstual bagi para supervisor di lini produksi.

Abstract

This study is a literature review that examines the effectiveness of transformational leadership by school principals in improving organisational performance related to the learning process in senior high schools. The objectives of this study are (1) to formulate the concept and dimensions of transformational leadership in the context of secondary schools, (2) to examine empirical evidence regarding the influence of transformational leadership on teacher performance, school climate, and student learning outcomes, and (3) to identify mechanisms (mediators and moderators) that strengthen or weaken these influences. A systematic review of empirical literature and meta-reviews published in the last 10 years shows consistent findings: transformational leadership is positively correlated and often significantly influences teacher motivation and performance, collaborative culture, Organisational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB), and several indicators of learning process effectiveness. these effects are often mediated by teacher job satisfaction, professional learning communities (PLCs), and school climate, and moderated by contextual factors such as resource support and school culture. Practical implications are discussed for the development of headteacher capacity and educational leadership development policies.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to read the Qur'an in reading the Qur'an in the Qur'an lesson at the State Islamic Junior High School 8 Muaro Jambi. Among the identified challenges are students’ difficulties in achieving fluency, errors in pronouncing makharijul huruf, and insufficient usage of tajwid rules. Therefore, there is a need for an effective and suitable learning approach to enhance students’ Qur’anic reading abilities. The purpose of this research is to detail the implementation of the drill and practice technique to improve students’ Qur’anic reading skills in the Al-Qur’an Hadith subject at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with Al-Qur’an Hadith educators, the principal of the school, and students, along with documentation. Informants were selected through purposive sampling, focusing on those who are directly engaged and knowledgeable about the educational process. Findings from the study reveal that the drill and practice method was carried out using structured and repetitive reading exercises of the Qur’an, establishment of a reading routine of verses at the start of lessons, practice on makharijul huruf and tajwid, and timely feedback from the teacher. This approach was additionally supported through consistent practice.

Abstract

Pluralism and tolerance in Islamic education are often debated because they can be read as an affirmation of diversity and as a shared ethic that rejects violence. This article aims to explain how pluralism and tolerance are constructed within the pesantren Islamic worldview through historical–cultural trajectories, and to derive pedagogical implications. The study employs a historical–cultural library research design and thematic content analysis of relevant literature published in including journal articles, proceedings, and policy documents. The synthesis indicates that pesantren frame plurality as a social fact (sunnatullah) to be managed through maslahah-oriented reasoning, adab al-ikhtilaf, and ethical communication; tolerance is treated as an active moral competence cultivated through kitab learning, habituation of adab, kiai role modelling, deliberation (musyawarah), and social service (khidmah). Evidence from Javanese cultural da‘wah further shows that internalising tawhid can coexist with respect for local symbols, producing adaptive religiosity without theological relativism. The article’s novelty lies in mapping the pluralism–tolerance–moderation nexus across three layers of pesantren culture: the formal curriculum, dormitory-based hidden curriculum, and socio-historical tradition.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the role of e-government based public relations management in improving the quality of public services in Islamic educational institutions. The focus of the study is directed toward understanding the concept, strategic role, and implementation challenges of e-government based public relations management within the context of public services in Islamic education. The research method employed is a library research approach by reviewing various literature sources, including scholarly books, national and international journal articles, and policy documents relevant to public relations management, e-government, and public services in Islamic education. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through a descriptive analytical approach to identify patterns, concepts, and key findings from the reviewed literature. The results of the study indicate that e-government based public relations management plays an important role in enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness of public services in Islamic education through the utilization of digital technology. The implementation of e-government is able to strengthen two way communication between Islamic educational institutions and the community, increase public trust, and build a professional and accountable institutional image.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of digital technology on distance learning in Purwakarta Regency using the PLS-SEM approach. The COVID-19 pandemic has driven the adoption of distance learning with challenges such as gaps in internet access, device infrastructure, teachers' digital literacy, and learning media integration, which affect the quality of distance learning and student learning outcomes. The research objectives include identifying influential digital technology factors, analyzing relationships between variables, determining the main components using the PLS-SEM approach, and contributing to the effectiveness of distance learning. The method uses a Likert questionnaire with 15 indicators per variable (technology infrastructure, teachers' digital literacy, digital media use, distance learning quality, learning outcomes), analyzed using SEM for hypothesis testing. The findings show that the main components of variables X1-X3 significantly predict variations in Y1 and Y2, with the mediation of distance learning quality on student achievement. The research implications recommend policy interventions for infrastructure improvements, literacy training, and media design to make distance learning more inclusive and effective post-pandemic.

Abstract

Speeches are a more formal and focused means of communication, allowing the audience to listen more intently to what the speaker is saying. Speech acts are an important aspect of language study. This study aims to describe and analyze the forms of directive speech acts used by President Prabowo in his speeches. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a listening and note-taking technique on the research data in the form of utterances obtained from videos of President Prabowo's speeches uploaded to the YouTube platform. The results of the study indicate that the dominant directive speech acts that appear are questions, orders, and prohibitions on the use of these speeches aimed at state officials to take concrete action in disaster management. These directive speech acts function as a tool of social control, strengthening leadership ethics, and a means of affirming the president's stance on symbolic practices that do not directly impact disaster victims.
