Abstract

Amal Saleh Foundation is a religious organization managed by students. Students are the future successors of a nation. Students are a benchmark for the sustainability and goodness of a country, the birth of YAS has an important role in shaping the character of students at public colleges, Padang State University, therefore this study aims to explore activities at the Amal Saleh Foundation in Shaping Student Character. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach (case study design). Data sources were taken from twenty informants through in-depth interviews. The informant is an active student of the General College of Padang State University and is also a Santri of the Amal Saleh Foundation. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation studies. All interview results were then analyzed Thematically using the Nvivo12 qualitative analysis software. Overall the results of the analysis show that there are four activities at the Amal Saleh Foundation in Shaping Student Character, namely: i) Ta'lim, ii) Tahsin, iii) Sunday morning lectures and iv) Safari Ramadhan. The results of this study have also proven that Amal Saleh Foundation is successful and has an important role in producing students with character.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of forming the Islamic character of students at Wisma Padang State University. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design approach, the research data is taken using a set of interview protocols that the author made and has been validated by one methodology expert to ten informants (students), the informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. All interview results were then analyzed thematically using. Overall, the research findings found that there were five character changes in students after living at Wisma Padang State University. The five findings are; i) dress according to syar'i, ii) higher learning motivation, iii) polite and courteous to fellow friends, iv) more efficient in managing finances, v) make good use of time. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers in examining this problem in different contexts and issues

Abstract

The performance of teachers during the process of online teaching and learning activities is considered not optimal. So that students are likely to misunderstand a concept (misconception). Misconceptions can be remediated by knowing the level of misconceptions in learners. The method that can be used in this case is to use a four-tier diagnostic test or a four-tier test. The source of data in the study was 93 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Tambang. Misconceptions in students online were 65.34% with details of 64.3%, in the plant tissue sub-concept, 64.0% in the plant organ sub-concept, and 61.5%. On the concept of photosynthesis. The factors that influence misconceptions are the existence of preconceptions in students, less meaningful ways of learning students, learning methods by teachers who lecture too much, lack of supportive facilities either from school or personal facilities, low input from the learners themselves and lack of motivation and support from themselves and parents of students

Abstract

This study aims to 1) determine the leadership behavior of the principal in providing performance guidance, 2) determine the leadership behavior of the principal in providing motivation, 3) determine the behavior of the principal in providing work productivity monitoring. This research is a qualitative research conducted at SD Inpres Mamajang III level with the research subject is the principal. Data was collected by using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques through data reduction, data display and data verification, while the validity of the data uses credibility, time triangulation, transperability, dependability, confirmability. The results of the research obtained are that the principal's leadership emphasizes three things, namely policy, motivation and monitoring. Policy is carried out by prioritizing deliberation. Motivation is done by giving awards and providing a conducive room to work. Principal monitoring uses the instrument of meeting results and the results of input from school officials

Abstract

This study explores the challenges that the school principal faced in implementing instructional supervision during the transition period from pandemic era to new normal era. This study uses a qualitative method. This research was conducted at a junior high school in Yogyakarta. The results of this study indicate that during the school transition to the new normal, the principal continues to conduct instructional supervision. The supervision process is carried out using online and face-to-face methods. Principal found various challenges at each stage of supervision. In planning, principal found that there was lack of human resources that are qualified and competent to be a member of instructional supervion team. At the implementation stage, technical problems in the form of poor internet connections available at school made the learning and supervision process became less optimal. Meanwhile, at the follow-up stage, some of programs prepared by the school for teacher competency development were not optimal when that were carried out online.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the variables (1) leadership knowledge on the effectiveness of the principal's work, (2) managerial competence on the effectiveness of the principal's work, (3) leadership knowledge and managerial competence together on the effectiveness of the principal's work. Research respondents were principals of public elementary schools in Rokan Hilir Regency, totaling 305 people with a sample of 173. Data was collected through questionnaires as a research instrument. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The instrument reliability coefficient was calculated using the Cronbach alpha formula. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence of leadership knowledge on the work effectiveness of the principal of 0.707, and there was a positive and significant influence of managerial competence on the work effectiveness of the principal of 0.603. Meanwhile, together there is an effect of leadership knowledge and managerial competence on the effectiveness of the principal's work of 0.553

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variables (1) self-confidence on teacher performance, (2) job saturation on teacher performance, (3) self-confidence and work saturation together on teacher performance. The research respondents were State Elementary School teachers in Tanjung Medan District, Rokan Hilir Regency, totaling 233 people with a sample of 147. The data was collected through questionnaires as a research instrument. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The instrument reliability coefficient was calculated using the Cronbach alpha formula. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect of self-confidence on teacher performance of 0.159, there was a positive and significant effect of job saturation on teacher performance of 0.112. Meanwhile, together there is an influence of self-confidence and work saturation on teacher performance of 0.264.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the role of school principals in managing teachers during the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako, Rokan Hilir; (2) knowing the role of school principals in supervising learning during the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako, Rokan Hilir. (3) knowing the role of the principal in managing parents during the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako, Rokan Hilir. (4) knowing the role of the principal in leading the school during the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako, Rokan Hilir. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using document review, observation, and interviews. Informants/subjects in this study are elements in schools that can be used as data sources. The type of data obtained is in the form of qualitative descriptive data. The results of this study indicate: (1) Managing teachers is included in the good category. (2) Supervision of Learning has been carried out very well. (3) Managing Parents has been carried out very well. (4) Leading the School has been carried out well. The conclusion that can be drawn is the role of school principals in managing education during the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic. At SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Pusako, Rokan Hilir can already be categorized as good.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of principal supervision and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection technique is a questionnaire given to 93 teachers who were chosen randomly as a sample using the census sampling method. The research was carried out, namely the respondents gave responses to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression and data processing using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program. Based on the results of the research, the principal's supervision affects the teacher's performance by 19.3%. Based on the results of the statistical test results of t work motivation on teacher performance, the t-count value is 2.733. Thus, t count is greater than t table (2.308 > 1.662) as shown in the table above, and the value is 0.023 < 0.05. Thus, t count is in the area where Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that partially the higher the level of work motivation, the performance of the teacher will increase. The results of research on work motivation show that work motivation affects teacher performance, meaning that the better the work motivation, the better the teacher's performance. This means that the principal's supervision and work motivation are important variables to improve teacher performance. The better the principal's supervision, work motivation, the better the teacher's performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of two independent variables, namely principal supervision and reward, and one dependent variable, namely teacher performance at SD Negeri Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. To obtain the data needed, the writer uses descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential analysis. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that 1) There is a positive contribution between the supervision of the principal on the performance of teachers in SD Negeri Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that the better the supervision of the principal, the better the teacher's performance in carrying out their duties. 2) There is a positive contribution between rewards and teacher performance at the State Elementary School in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that teacher performance can be improved through the provision of rewards in schools. 3) There is a joint contribution of principal supervision and reward on teacher performance at SD Negeri Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
