Abstract

The My Capella application developed by PT Capella Dinamik Nusantara was designed to facilitate customer access to digital services, particularly for booking Honda motorcycle servicing. However, its use still encounters several challenges, especially regarding user adaptation. These include difficulties in understanding and utilizing features, a complex interface, and insufficient user guidance. This study aims to analyze and identify user adaptation behavior toward the My Capella application in the Pekanbaru area using the Coping Model of User Adaptation (CMUA), which evaluates how users respond to new technologies through cognitive and emotional processes. The research findings support four accepted hypotheses: opportunity appraisal significantly influences problem-focused adaptation; secondary appraisal significantly influences both problem-focused and emotion-focused adaptation; and threat appraisal significantly influences problem-focused adaptation. The strongest effect was observed in the relationship between secondary appraisal and problem-focused adaptation, with a t-statistic of 7.259 > 1.960. These findings indicate that users respond to the My Capella application both cognitively and emotionally, aligning with the CMUA framework and reflecting adaptation processes that are both problem-focused and emotion-focused. Therefore, it is recommended that application developers provide interactive training modules, regular outreach or user engagement sessions, and improvements to the user interface (UI/UX) design to make it more intuitive. These efforts can enhance users' understanding and comfort in using application features—especially during system updates.

Abstract

Tropical diseases are common in tropical and subtropical regions and are often difficult to diagnose due to symptoms that resemble other conditions and limited access to healthcare facilities. This study aims to develop a self-diagnosis application that integrates the Certainty Factor and Dempster-Shafer methods to improve the accuracy and reliability of tropical disease diagnosis. The application is expected to assist the public in conducting preliminary diagnoses independently, enabling timely treatment and reducing mortality and morbidity rates. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of these two artificial intelligence methods, offering an innovative solution to enhance diagnostic capabilities. The system achieved an accuracy rate of 83% based on testing, with the Certainty Factor method addressing uncertainty in symptom inputs, while the Dempster-Shafer method complements its limitations by managing uncertainty more adaptively. This combination enables more comprehensive diagnostic recommendations. However, challenges remain in cases with limited symptom data, indicating the need for further development to enhance algorithm performance and expand the clinical database

Abstract

The construction of the Trans Java Toll Road has intensified competition in the intercity bus (AKAP) industry, prompting bus operators (PO) to formulate strategies to maximize revenue. During holiday and festive seasons, operators typically raise ticket prices based on competitor pricing. However, other critical factors are often overlooked, such as fleet maintenance costs, travel operational expenses (fuel, tolls, driver commissions, meal allowances, and incentives), as well as agent commissions and passenger meals, all of which tend to increase—sometimes drastically—especially when fuel prices rise. This study aims to analyze passenger behavior, route potential, conduct preventive maintenance planning, and evaluate the alignment between ticket pricing, contribution margin, and cost ratio using a machine learning approach with the Random Forest Regression algorithm. The machine learning model was developed using data on route masters, fleet details, travel costs, ticket prices, holidays, and transaction records of revenue and operational expenses. The model achieved an RMSE of 3%, R² score of 77%, MAPE of 9.56%, and accuracy of 90.44%. It was then implemented in a web-based interface using Flask and ASP.NET to compare actual ticket prices with predicted prices.

Abstract

With its rich diversity of ethnicities, cultures, races, and religions, Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest number of regional languages in the world. This linguistic diversity often leads to communication challenges, particularly when conveying information or engaging in textual conversations. This study aims to identify and classify the Toraja, Batak, and Ambon languages using machine learning-based computational methods. The techniques employed include Decision Tree and Gradient Boost algorithms to evaluate the accuracy of each model. The results demonstrate that both Decision Tree and Gradient Boost are effective in language identification, achieving accuracy rates above 77%. However, based on the confusion matrix analysis, the Gradient Boost method proved to be more effective, with an accuracy rate of 81.06%, compared to 78.39% achieved by the Decision Tree. These findings suggest that Gradient Boost offers better performance for classifying these regional languages.

Abstract

The use of electrical energy is expected to always increase every year. This is due to the increasing needs of the community that must be met. Electricity has become the foundation for welfare and economic progress as well as a growth engine both domestically and globally, to meet the need for electrical energy in the future so that a system is needed that can predict future electrical energy consumption. Various prediction methods have developed along with the problems that arise. These methods include the Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain method and the Markov Chain Monte Carlo method. This study aims to apply the Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain (FTSMC) method to predict electricity consumption (KWH) in Aceh Province until 2030 using the electricity consumption dataset from 2018 to 2022. The FTSMC method combines fuzzy time series modeling with Markov chain state transitions, allowing for effective handling of uncertainty in time series data. The results reveal an impressive forecast accuracy, with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 3.2483%, demonstrating the model’s robustness and suitability for electricity consumption forecasting, with a predicted 314,606,308 kWh in January 2023 and 482,982,495 kWh in December 2030, representing an overall increase of 53.5% over the eight-year period. The FTSMC model effectively stabilizes predictions over time, ultimately converging to a stable value. This stability suggests that FTSMC is well-suited for forecasting in contexts where historical patterns are expected to persist. Further application of this model could benefit other sectors requiring accurate, stable forecasts.
