Abstract

In the construction sector, progress in the development of information technology is very rapid, providing many benefits for construction work that has a level of difficulty and complexity in the work process, including the field of AEC (Arobitect Engineering Construction). The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data from the project at the Arjasa health center building project, Sumenep Regency, East Java. Data collection was carried out quantitatively. This data will later be used in modeling using Tekla Stuctures 2022 software. Based on the case study, 3D modeling is carried out starting from the process of making grids, elevations, foot plate and continuous foundations, sloofs, columns, beams and roofs, followed by 4D modeling or Time Schedule where the schedule the work that has been entered into the task manager is then processed using project visualization, and the last is 5D modeling or cost estimation using Tekla Structures 2022 software. Modeling is done by taking the volume results obtained from 3D building modeling using Tekla Structures 2022 software and then calculating it using Excel. The RAB results obtained for the Polyclinic Building were IDR 224,175,887.47 and for the IGD building IDR 214,707,268.24.

Abstract

Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) learning is a learning method that refers to the level of achievement and ability of the learners themselves. The researcher aims to increase students' interest in learning and ability to understand concepts so that it can overcome the problems that have been observed in Class VII A Wahid Hasyim Junior High School. The stages used by researchers in applying Teaching at the Right Level are learning analysis, diagnostic assessment, application of teaching modules, mapping of students, application of TaRL activities, assessment of students' processes, and evaluation of learning activities. The type of research used by this researcher uses a classroom action research method with a participatory approach. The results of observations of researcher activities in the implementation of cycle II actions carried out by observer I and observer II showed percentage values reaching 97% and 96% which were categorized as very good. Meanwhile, in cycle II action research that analyzed the results of observations of student activities, observer I gave an assessment of 98% and observer II gave an assessment of 96% which was also categorized as very good.  At the end of cycle II, the test results of students reached 19 students or around 86% of students were complete. So, it is concluded that the application of Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) learning can increase learning interest and concept understanding in students of class VII A Wahid Hasyim Junior High School.

Abstract

In bilingual communities, code mixing serves as a useful communication strategy between students and teachers. It is also an interesting topic to research when considering language as a medium for interaction and communication. In this study, the researcher focused on finding out whether the use of code mixing can enhance EFL students’ motivation in the classroom interaction or not. A descriptive qualitative method used for conducting this study. The researcher conducted this study at Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN Bone). The participants were ten sixth semester of EFL students. The researcher used interview as the research instrument. The result showed that the use of code mixing can enhance students motivation. The positive impacts of using the code mixing were the material can easily be understood and the students’ vocabularies can increase by the time. The negative impact was it will make the students difficult to speak English fully.

Abstract

This research formulates a new construction of symbolic violence analysis in educational textbooks. Analysis of symbolic violence through critical sociological theory is still limited to generalizing linguistic evidence. The integration of two important theories, cultural reproduction through symbolic violence by Pierre Bourideu and Critical Discourse Analysis by Teun A van Dijk, became the main study formulated. The study focused on reconstructing the concept of CDA for Symbolic Violence Analysis as a combination of these two theories in the study of educational textbooks. A qualitative approach with a library research as the research method was carried out. The reconceptualization of these two theories is able to present an analytical model to dismantle the ideological structures hiding behind educational texts. Symbolic violence that occurs through the process of cultural reproduction and gives rise to forced doxa can be dismantled through analysis of habitus, capital and arena which is enhanced by textual analysis, social cognition and social context.

Abstract

Chicken egg grading is identifying and grouping or classifying chicken eggs for consumption based on specific criteria. In SNI 3926:2008, the grade/class of consumption eggs is divided into 3 (three): Grades I, II, and III. Eggs with grade I have a higher selling value than grade II. Likewise, grade II eggs have a higher selling value than grade III. With these criteria, it is necessary to carry out a grading process that is still carried out by manual observation, so it requires extra time and energy with less uniform results because it depends on the individual observing. Based on these problems, it is necessary to have an egg quality grading system based on shell images that can identify egg quality according to its grade. In the study, there are several stages of research, namely: 1) Literature Study, 2) Data Collection, 3) System Design, 4) System Testing, 5) Results Analysis, and 6) Publication and Reporting. The CNN algorithm is used to classify based on shell images. The study's results showed that the performance of the CNN model had an accuracy value of 92.19%, precision of 92.78%, recall of 92.62%, and f1-score of 92.42%. This shows that the CNN model can well classify the quality of chicken eggs for consumption based on shell images.

Abstract

The fan community, particularly in Korean music culture, commonly referred to as K-Pop, is flourishing in tandem with the evolving times. Beyond being a platform for sharing common interests, fan communities have become a means for interaction, discussion, and the formation of friendships. The progression of time, facilitated by digital technology, further supports this through the creation of fan communities engaging in virtual interactions, predominantly on social media platforms. The objective of this research is to explore the dynamics of virtual communication relationships within the BTS fan community (ARMY) using the Social Penetration Theory. This theory is employed to comprehend the process of interpersonal relationship development within virtual communities. The research adopts a qualitative research method with a case study approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and observations as data collection techniques. The study involves 15 active members of the BTS fan community who interact on social media fanbase platforms. The research findings shed light on the understanding of how BTS fan community members establish and foster a sense of intimacy through virtual communication, exploring the application, influencing factors, and stages of these relationships. The theoretical and practical implications of this research, supported by previous studies, can provide guidance for community managers and other researchers, contributing to the development of the Social Penetration Theory in the context of virtual communication.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of TikTok as a learning tool for Indonesian language in elementary schools, aligning with the current digital era. Social media, including TikTok, attracts millennials and can serve as an engaging learning platform. TikTok's popularity makes it a potential medium for fun and interactive education. The use of TikTok in learning aims to facilitate both students and teachers. This research uses literature review. The data were taken from articles that discussed relevant topic that is about TikTok as a learning media. The gathered data is then reduced to draw relevant conclusions. This research demonstrates that TikTok, when used with appropriate methods, can be an alternative and effective tool for studying Indonesian language. The results indicate that TikTok's ease of use and various features make it a practical resource for interactive learning in elementary schools. Thus, TikTok can be a valuable aid in enhancing Indonesian language education through innovative digital approaches.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with significant renewable energy potential. One of the sources of renewable energy is the micro-hydro power plant in Tulungagung, an area traversed by large rivers. This study aims to analyze the potential of Micro-Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH) on tributaries in Tulungagung. The research covers 14 rivers in Tulungagung, with location selection based on several criteria. The results indicate that out of the 14 surveyed locations, 10 rivers have the potential to be developed into PLTMH. These rivers include: Srabah River with a capacity of 6.45 kW, Buntaran River with 5.88 kW, Ngranti River with 14.97 kW, Dawuhan River with 7.72 kW, Kalimas River with 39.28 kW, Jajar River with 7.78 kW, Jambu River with 5.35 kW, Ariyojeding River (Lodagung flow) with 248.13 kW, Gilang River with 12.16 kW, Petung River with 12.66 kW. The river with the highest potential and most suitable for a PLTMH is the Aryojeding River, which has the largest capacity at 248.13 kW.

Abstract

The twin towers paradigm in the Islamic Community Development Study Program at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya emphasizes Islamic integration and community empowerment. This research designs a road map that suits the paradigm and needs of the community, so that the results meet academic standards while directly benefiting the community as empowerment partners. The method used in this research uses a qualitative approach through the results of FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and interviews. The research results show that there are strategic issues being developed in line with the strategic issues of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, such as basic scientific research for scientific development in the Islamic Community Development Study Program to strengthen study program competencies, community-based research (community engagement research) in the field of community service with various community-based research approaches and methods such as Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), environmental issues including the themes of environmental conservation, natural disasters and eco-tourism using an Islamic perspective.

Abstract

This article discusses the contribution of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model as an accelerator for increasing the textile motif design competency of Fashion Vocational High School (SMK) students. The focus is on the integration of PjBL in learning fashion design and production in vocational schools, which is considered important to prepare graduates to face the challenges of the dynamic fashion industry. The discussion includes the characteristics of textile motif design competencies, the literature study methods used, the findings, and the role of PjBL in increasing students' creativity, critical thinking, and cross-disciplinary skills. This article provides a comprehensive overview of how PjBL can improve the quality of vocational education, especially in developing the textile motif design competency of SMK Clothing students.
