Abstract

Quill.org is an interactive online web for grammar exercises tool that is believed can helped the students master grammar well. This study observed the effect of Quill.org as a tool in Task-Based Language Teaching to enhance students’ simple sentence mastery for creating descriptive writing. Two classes underwent a three-session descriptive text writing unit using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design. While the control group received conventional training, the experimental group used Quill.org. Writing samples were used to assess sentence completeness, grammatical accuracy, and structural clarity. The findings showed that students in the experimental group produced grammatically correct short sentences at a statistically significant increase (p < 0.01), and that learners' opinions of Quill.org were favorable, describing it as helpful and boosting confidence. The results demonstrate the advantages of using specially designed digital resources into writing instruction to support student confidence, accuracy, and clarity in EFL contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance students' vocabulary mastery through gamification on Baamboozle, as traditional teaching methods often fall short in holding students’ attention. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted in two cycles, involving planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. It involved 29 eighth-graders at SMPN 2 Nglegok. Pre-tests and post-tests were given to track their vocabulary progress, and also observed their engagement and participation in class. Results indicated a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery, with the percentage of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) rising from 17.24% in the pre-test, to 48,28% in the post test of cycle 1, and  to 82.76% in the post-test II. The findings suggest that gamification, through interactive and competitive elements of the Baamboozle platform, effectively increases student motivation and engagement in learning English vocabulary. This study contributes valuable insights into the integration of technology and innovative teaching methods in language education, highlighting the importance of gamification in fostering a more dynamic and enjoyable learning environment to improve vocabularies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how well vocational high school students learn writing through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) using realia media. This study was carried out on several pupils who frequently struggle with their writing abilities. When producing documents, students frequently run into issues with sentence form, syntax, vocabulary choice, coherence across paragraphs, and logical idea organization. This study combined a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. Students in the XI grade at SMKS PGRI 1 Blitar City served as the study's subjects. XI TKJ students served as the experimental group, while XI TPM students served as the control group. Researchers employed the ANCOVA approach, which was computed with the aid of SPSS version 20 software, to assess the study's findings. According to the analysis, the Contextual Teaching and Learning with Realia media treatment had a positive impact; its mean score (79.310a) was higher than that of the traditional approach (71.621a). This indicates that using realia media in contextual teaching and learning yields greater results than the traditional approach. Because contextual teaching makes learning more meaningful and encourages students to be more active and expressive, and because learning and realia media help students organize their thoughts and express ideas more concretely, it is recommended that teachers use contextual teaching and learning with realia media when teaching writing, particularly on procedure texts, to vocational high students.

Abstract

This study investigates the accounting data integration challenges encountered during the implementation of the Local Government Information System (SIPD) at the North Toraja Transportation Service. The research specifically examines issues that hinder the integration process, including inconsistencies in Financial Accounting and Reporting (AKLAP) features within SIPD, technical limitations, human resource constraints, and financial barriers. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through a case study conducted starting in September 2025, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the primary challenges include the incompatibility between SIPD features and existing operational procedures, technical disruptions such as unstable system connectivity, limited staffing capacity, and insufficient budgeting. This study further proposes practical recommendations, including human resource training, enhancement of SIPD functional features, and transitional integration of manual systems to strengthen reporting efficiency, financial accountability, and transparency within local government operations.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of Financial Technology (fintech) implementation and employees’ digital literacy levels on the Accounting Information System at Bank Papua, South Sulawesi Branch. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of 36 respondents who are directly involved in operating the accounting information system. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous influences among the variables. The results indicate that fintech implementation and employees’ digital literacy levels have a positive and significant effect on the accounting information system, both partially and simultaneously. The combined contribution of the two variables reached 74.3%, suggesting that the effectiveness of fintech implementation is strongly influenced by employees’ digital literacy. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing digital competencies among human resources to optimize the performance of modern accounting information systems in the banking sector.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Bugis people’s perceptions of Uang Panai’ as an economic burden in the context of traditional marriage, as well as to explain its symbolic meaning from cultural and economic perspectives. The research was conducted in Makassar, a modern metropolitan city, using qualitative methods with an interpretive paradigm and phenomenological analysis approach. Primary data were collected directly from the research subjects through in-depth interviews with 11 informants, consisting of community leaders, religious leaders, parents, and young people. The findings indicate that the perception of Uang Panai’ as an economic burden can be reduced by providing broader understanding to the Bugis community regarding the cultural importance of this tradition. When properly understood, Uang Panai’ is viewed not as a burden but as a symbol of strength, sincerity, and commitment between families. It also encourages individuals to work harder in preparation for marriage so that the tradition can continue to be preserved. The implications of this study highlight the importance of preserving the Uang Panai’ tradition as part of Bugis cultural heritage. The practice should be maintained and passed down to future generations while emphasizing the value of kinship. This ensures that communication between families is well-established and that the determination of Uang Panai’ remains considerate and does not impose undue burdens on either party.

Abstract

Digital games offer fast and wide access, even allowing players from different countries to connect with each other. Purchasing goods or services in the game is relatively easy and can be done from anywhere. Due to the ease of access and support for internet connections, digital games are now more popular than traditional games, especially by children. This research is normative research Normative law research has a tendency to image law as a prescriptive discipline where only looking at law from the perspective of its norms which of course is descriptive, this research is carried out in real conditions with the aim of being able to find existing facts to be used as data fillers in this research so that later the point of solving the problem will also be found. That in accordance with the mandate of the law, children who are victims of violence have the right to protection. This research is seen as very important to be carried out. Although a number of previous studies have discussed legal protection for children as victims of pornography crimes, the authors feel the need to conduct a more in-depth study regarding legal protection for children from the impact of violence in online games. This focus is expected to make a new and relevant contribution to child protection efforts in the digital era.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between the application of Islamic principles and the successful implementation of the ADKAR change management model at AOKI Putra Sang Palat Bilau. The main objective was to determine if Islamic values significantly influence the perceived success of each ADKAR element: Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement. The research employed a quantitative method, using survey data from 28 respondents. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential techniques, including correlation and linear regression. The results show a very strong positive correlation (r = 0.986), indicating that Islamic principles explain 97.1% of the variance in overall ADKAR success. Among the ADKAR elements, 'Desire' had the highest attainment level. Statistically significant relationships were found between Islamic principles and all ADKAR elements, with the strongest impact on 'Ability'. The regression analysis confirmed that Islamic principles are a powerful predictor for ADKAR scores. In conclusion, the research objectives were achieved, demonstrating that integrating Islamic principles significantly enhances change management initiatives. This provides a valuable framework for organizations in similar cultural contexts to foster successful and sustainable change.

Abstract

The industrial sector plays a strategic role as a key driver of economic development through increased productivity, job creation, and strengthening the export base. This study aims to analyze the industrial sector's contribution to Indonesia's economic development by emphasizing its determinants of success and limitations. The method used is a literature study enriched with descriptive-comparative quantitative analysis using secondary data from 2015–2024 sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the World Bank. This approach was chosen because the research objective was not only to explain the theoretical concept regarding the relationship between the industrial sector and economic development, but also to examine the latest empirical evidence. The results indicate that the determinants of industrial performance include physical capital, human capital, the quality of institutions and policies, technology transfer and knowledge spillover, market structure and trade orientation, inter-sectoral linkages, financial capacity, and digital infrastructure. Each factor has advantages and disadvantages that have implications for the effectiveness of industry's role in development. Overall, the industrial sector has been shown to contribute significantly to Indonesia's economic growth through job creation, increased productivity and innovation, and strengthened investment and exports. These findings emphasize the importance of adaptive industrial policies to address the challenges of early deindustrialization and digital transformation. Empirical studies show that the industrial sector continues to play a significant role in Indonesia's economic development from 2015 to 2024. Industry contributes significantly to economic growth and job creation, despite facing global automation trends.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of digital banking services in the relationship between traditional financial decisions and bank financial performance. Using an unbalanced panel dataset of 152 commercial banks across ASEAN-5 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines) from 2013 to 2023, yielding 1,567 bank-year observations, we employ a robust mediation analysis framework grounded in Financial Intermediation Theory, the Resource-Based View, and Dynamic Capabilities. The empirical strategy combines fixed effects panel regression to control for unobserved heterogeneity with a bootstrapping procedure (5,000 resamples) to test the significance of indirect effects. Results confirm that digital banking penetration partially and significantly mediates the impact of funding decisions (retail deposit ratio) and investment decisions (IT expenditure intensity) on Return on Assets (ROA), as well as the impact of the cost of funds on ROA. The mediation effect is context-dependent, being substantially stronger for larger banks and for banks operating in countries with more advanced digital infrastructure. These findings bridge a critical gap in the literature by modelling digital services not as a parallel performance driver, but as a fundamental transmission channel that reconfigures traditional value-creation pathways in banking. The study provides actionable insights for bank managers to integrate digital and financial strategies, for regulators to view digital infrastructure as a component of financial stability, and for investors to adopt integrated valuation models.
