Abstract

In this research, a study of the adsorption kinetics of heavy metal Pb(II) with white sand adsorbent has been carried out. The use of white sand as an adsorbent is based on the habits of the people who use white sand to purify water. For wider use, in this study, it was used to adsorb lead metal which has a high toxicity. Increased the adsorption power of white sand, chemical activation was carried out using NaOH with various concentrations of 2, 4 and 6 M. Adsorption kinetics of Pb(II) by adsorbents were carried out using a batch system with time variations of 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes. The behavior pattern of Pb(II) absorption by the adsorbent was studied using first-order, second-order kinetic models, pseudo-first-order Lagergren's equation and pseudo-second-order Ho's equation. The results showed that the absorption of Pb(II) by sand adsorbents in various variations, both control and activated NaOH 2, 4 and 6 M, followed a pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetics with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 1. In addition, based on kinetic studies pseudo second order there is no value comparison between qe, exp and qe, hit. The highest k value was found in the 4 M NaOH activated sand adsorbent, which was 206.921 g/mg.h, indicating a faster absorption rate of the adsorbate by the adsorbent. Thus, the activation of the adsorbent at variations in base concentration affects the surface area of the adsorbent where the greater the surface area, the faster the absorption rate of Pb(II).

Abstract

This research aims to develop biochemistry practical instructions that are integrated with Islamic education based on local wisdom in South Kalimantan which utilizes Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) technology using a guided inquiry model. The method for developing practical instructions uses the ADDIE model including the needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. Data was obtained through interviews with Banjar residents, literature studies to integrate Islam and science, validity tests of material experts and media experts, as well as surveys of student responses to practical instructions that have been implemented in the learning environment. The research results showed that the development of guided inquiry-based practical instructions that utilized GC-MS technology was categorized as the learning source (78.75), and very valid as the instructional Media (81.25). Then, based on student responses, this practical guide received an excellent category (95) to be applied to the biochemistry practical course

Abstract

In initial observations in class IV at SDN 3 Langsa, it was found that there were still many students who had difficulty understanding the matter and their changes material and they needed supporting digital teaching materials. Hence, this article aims to develop an interactive LKPD with the help of Live worksheets on the matter and their changes material. The development of the LKPD is carried out through four stages of the Thiagarajan or 4D model. At the define stage, reasons were found related to the need to develop interactive LKPD assisted by Live worksheets which provide learning assistance in the form of attractive visuals, experiment-based, and the use of digital technology. At the design stage, an interactive LKPD was designed with the help of Live worksheets on matter and their changes material in softcopy form. At the develop stage, validation is carried out with material experts, digital teaching materials experts and linguistic experts. In the first validation, an average score of 72.59% was obtained in the valid category and the product had to be improved according to the validator's suggestions, while the average score in the second validation was 92.42% in the very valid category so that the interactive LKPD was assisted by Live worksheets on matter and their changes material are well worth sharing. At the disseminate stage, the product is implemented and distributed in class IV of state elementary schools. This article also suggests that educators use LKPD according to the characteristics of the students and the characteristics of the subject so that effective and enjoyable learning can be carried out.

Abstract

The world was very surprised by the existence of a new virus variant originating from China which we are usually familiar with as the Covid-19 Virus Variant. The Covid-19 virus is a threat to all corners of the world, this virus has forced the world to experience a global pandemic for the past few years. This type of research is a quantitative research type with data collection using a questionnaire. The methodology used in collecting research data this time was a survey of various teachers at high school of the same level in the cities of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The purpose of using the survey method is to obtain accurate data on a group that is not limited to demographic information and is able to collect attitudes and beliefs in a population. This study used a data collection technique using random sampling consisting of 160 participants (23 men and 137 women) consisting of all teachers and school management in several high school schools in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Online learning is also supported by students, teachers, school facilities and infrastructure that are ready to implement changes to the learning system imposed by the government. This is also supported by school facilities and infrastructure where schools already have good computers and have internet access that can be used in the online learning process

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify problems in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject in an elementary school. A total of two teachers at SD Negeri 9 Kuala Langsa were selected as research subjects with purposive sampling techniques. Both teachers have been implementing the Merdeka Curriculum since the 2022/2023 school year. This research is descriptive qualitative research with interview questions and observation sheets as research instruments. The interview questions were used to explore information related to the problems of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum faced by educators in IPAS subject. In addition, information related to the process of learning preparation, implementation, and assessment was obtained through observation of documents, learning activities, and the school environment. The results showed that teachers faced problems in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the preparation, implementation, and assessment of learning stages. These problems can be overcome through regular meetings with teacher working groups, using effective learning strategies, and training on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The PBL and PjBL models are student-centric learning models that are needed to improve student skills in the 21st century. This study aims to find out the differences between the PBL and PjBL models of critical thinking skills of students at SMAN 1 Lhokseumawe on material reaction speed. This research uses experimental methods with a type of Quasi Experimental Design. The sampling technique was carried out in a purposive way with a total sample of 72 students. The test results show no significant differences between PBL and PjBL models. The result of this test is sig (2-tailed) 0.162 > 0.05 H0 received and H1 rejected. In other words, there is no significant difference in critical thinking skills between students taught with the PjBL model and the PBL model

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a minimum competency assessment instrument (MCA) on thermochemical material that meets the test criteria that is suitable for measuring students' reading literacy and numeracy in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty and distinguishing power. The research design used is a development and validation design. The participants involved in this research were high school students at one of the high schools in Bandung City as respondents and validators consisting of 3 lecturers and 2 teachers in their fields. The product resulting from this research is the MCA test instrument on thermochemical material which consists of 5 reading literacy questions and 15 numeracy questions. This test instrument was declared valid based on content validity and based on empirical validity, 16 questions were valid and 4 questions were invalid. The reliability test results showed that the reliability value for the objective questions was 0.73, while the reliability value for the description questions was 0.77 and both were declared reliable. The results of the MCA instrument competency level analysis show that students' reading literacy and numeracy competencies are included in the basic category and require special intervention with a refractive index of 1.53 and 1.00.
