Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the promotional strategies implemented by the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program at STAIN Madina in increasing new students. Competition is increasingly fierce in the world of higher education, so it is important for academic institutions to implement effective promotional strategies to attract the attention of prospective students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by looking at and understanding the subject and object of research which includes interviews with sources, and observing the Study Program based on facts that appear as they are. The research results show that STAIN Madina implements various promotional strategies which include the use of social media, MoU and MUA cooperation for the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program, improving website quality and program activities for the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program. However, behind all this, there are obstacles in developing the promotional strategy, namely budget limitations, competition with other universities, public perception, limited human resources, technological infrastructure and the quality of study programs. The conclusion of this research is that a combination of integrated and adaptive promotional strategies can significantly increase new students, noting the importance of regular evaluation and adjustment of strategies. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for other higher education institutions in formulating effective promotional strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the regulation of foreign workers (TKA) in Indonesia and the implications of the Constitutional Court Decision Number 168/PUU-XXI/2023 on TKA regulations. The focus is to analyze regulatory changes before and after the decision, as well as its impact on prioritizing local workers, technology transfer, and TKA licensing. This research employs a normative juridical method with a statutory approach, based on an analysis of legal documents such as laws and court decisions. The findings reveal that the Constitutional Court's decision strengthens the prioritization of local workers, technology transfer, and TKA oversight. The implementation of this decision is expected to reduce reliance on foreign workers, enhance the competitiveness of local labor, and promote inclusive development. The government is urged to reinforce oversight, prioritize training for local workers, and conduct periodic evaluations of TKA policies to support the independence of Indonesian labor in the global era

Abstract

Research on music in the scope of aesthetics will always be interesting. This study uses a qualitative approach with a data mining method via literature review to analyze the song Gala Bunga Matahari through Al-Farabi's theory of musical aesthetics. The purpose of this study is to link Al-Farabi's aesthetic theory, which emphasizes the importance of harmony and harmony in music, in order to analyze the song in more depth. In the context of the song, the analysis was carried out on the elements of harmony with a mathematical scale, the symbolic meaning in the lyrics that convey the theme of longing and hope for the deceased, and the moral role contained in the lyrics. The results of the study show that Gala Bunga Matahari not only meets the technical criteria of harmonious music in the perspective of Al-Farabi's musical aesthetics, but this song also creates emotional harmony that is in accordance with Al-Farabi's musical aesthetic views, and has elements of music as a social instrument in Al-Farabi's musical approach.

Abstract

This article discusses the stance of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) regarding the Ministry of Religious Affairs' decision to transform Religious Affairs Offices (KUA) into service centres for all religions. The aim of this article is to analyse MUI's perspective on the policy related to religious services at KUA from the viewpoint of the ahlu dhimmah theory, a concept within the framework of Islamic governance. The research methodology employed in this article is qualitative research, relying on literature as the primary data source. Information for this study is drawn from the documents of the Eighth Ulama Fatwa Commission Meeting. The research findings indicate that, according to MUI, KUA should not be designated as a service centre for all religions in Indonesia. This decision is based on historical evidence showing that KUA, which operates under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, is specifically intended for Muslims as part of the compensation for the removal of seven words from the Jakarta Charter, which previously affirmed the obligation to uphold Islamic law for followers of Islam in Indonesia. The ideology that has replaced this is Pancasila. MUI also argues that issues related to religions other than Islam are significantly different from Islamic religious affairs, raising concerns about the potential for religious mixing if KUA becomes a service centre for all religions. MUI asserts that transforming KUA into a service centre for all religions contradicts existing laws and is not in line with the social realities of interfaith interactions. The implications of the analysis based on the ahlu dhimmah theory suggest that non-Muslims have the right to register marriages and receive implementation services at KUA. However, it is crucial that officials acting as "marriage registrars" adhere to the teachings of their respective religions to prevent any interfaith syncretizm.

Abstract

Ponorogo Regency is one of Indonesia's cities rich in Javanese ethnic culture and art. One aspect that becomes potential in City branding Ponorogo is the tagline "Ethnic Art of Java", which reflects the richness of traditional Javanese culture and art in this city. This study aims to determine the role of local government stakeholders of Ponorogo Regency in communicating the city branding of Ponorogo Regency “Ethnic Art of Java". This research is qualitative descriptive method research with a case study approach. The results of this study show that Ponorogo city branding communication uses three communication channels: Primary Communication, Secondary Communication, and Tertiary Communication. The implementation of Primary Communication city branding of Ponorogo Regency can be seen in the addition of tourist attractions in Ponorogo Regency, improving road access to tourism in Ponorogo Regency, and forming a “Ponorogo Creative Team”. The application of Secondary Communication city branding for Ponorogo Regency can be seen in tourism marketing by making a calendar of Ponorogo Regency activities, installing promotional tools in various places, making various media relations, and making logo designs on several Ponorogo Regency activities. The implementation of Tertiary Communication for Ponorogo Regency "Ethnic Art of Java" can be observed by strengthening the media by evaluating publications every month, creating a social media monitoring system, and participating in the Ponorogo community in every Ponorogo Regency event.

Abstract

Jaring Dahlia Hj Fatimah is one of the culinary legends of Banjarmasin City. The main menu of this culinary specialty is processed Jengkol with tahilala or boiled coconut milk sediment, petah, and various other processed jengkol. This research aims to analyze the potential of Jaring Dahlia Hj Fatimah as a culinary tourism attraction so that it can be widely known by people from various regions to maintain a family business that has been running since 1987. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using SWOT analysis with research sources namely the owner, employees, and customers of Jaring Dahlia Hj Fatimah in Banjarmasin. The results showed that there are strategies that can be carried out by Jaring Dahlia Hj Fatimah by utilizing existing strengths and opportunities and minimizing existing weaknesses and threats. This research also indicates that a family business that has been established since 1987 such as Jaring Dahlia Hj Fatimah certainly also has weaknesses and will continue to face threats around such as the emergence of competition and street food that is rampant in the community. A digital marketing strategy is needed to be able to maintain business existence and introduce culinary to today's younger generation.

Abstract

In the golden age of Sriwijaya, Palembang was a center for learning Buddhism. After being destroyed, the era of the sultanate emerged and became the center of Islamic intellectualism. This is marked by the presence of scholars who have authority in the field of religion. Therefore, in Palembang, a religious tourism object was established, namely the Cheng Hoo Mosque which is famous for its combination of Malay and Chinese nuances. However, the mosque has not fully become one of the superior tourist attractions even though efforts have been made through da'wah strategies and improving mosque facilities. This study aims to determine the role of the community in developing the Cheng Hoo Mosque religious tourism object in Palembang. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data sources. Data collection techniques are carried out through literature studies and documentation. The results obtained include the establishment of the Cheng Hoo Mosque in Palembang cannot be separated from the role of Chinese Muslims in Palembang through PITI organization. In addition, the community has so far tried to participate in the development of this tourist attraction by maintaining cleanliness and cooperation with various agencies.

Abstract

The basic training for civil servant candidates is aimed at strengthening national character. At the PPSDM of the Ministry of Education and Culture, collaborative learning with art activities is conducted during the classical training sessions. Preliminary data from this study revealed that collaborative learning with art activities has generated positive emotions and reduced anxiety among trainees. Therefore, the objective of this research is to explore the psychological dynamics experienced by trainees during collaborative learning with art activities in the Classical Training for Civil Servant Candidates at PPSDM Kemendikbudristek. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design involving three civil servant candidates participating in the training. Data is collected using a photo-elicitation interview method to achieve a deeper understanding. Subsequently, the data is analyzed using an interactive data analysis approach, including coding, theme identification, and theory construction. The findings of this research indicate that, in addition to fostering positive feelings and reducing anxiety, feeling secure about people, roles, and responsibilities plays a dynamic role in the meaningfulness of collaborative learning. Combined with art activities, the meaningfulness of collaborative learning can serve as a platform for building a sense of belonging as a civil servant.

Abstract

The preservation of the Wringin Lawang Batik motif as a means to introduce Majapahit culture in Mojokerto. The background of this research is based on the importance of preserving the Majapahit cultural heritage which is the historical identity of the Trowulan area, one of the centers of the glory of the Majapahit kingdom. The Wringin Lawang Batik motif is inspired by the architectural form of the Wringin Lawang Gate, a symbol of past greatness and glory, thus having high historical and philosophical value. The focus of this research is to understand the symbolic meaning and cultural values ​​contained in the batik motif and examine the various preservation efforts undertaken by craftsmen and related parties. The research approach uses a qualitative approach with a theoretical basis for the preservation of local culture and identity, which emphasizes the importance of cultural sustainability through adaptation and innovation without losing its original value. Data collection methods are carried out through in-depth interviews and direct observation of batik craftsmen, cultural figures, and local governments involved in the preservation program. The results of the study indicate that the Wringin Lawang Batik motif is not just a work of art, but also an educational medium that introduces the history of Majapahit to local communities and tourists. Preservation efforts are carried out through collaboration between artisans, the local government, and local communities, including training, cultural festivals, and batik tourism promotions. In conclusion, the preservation of the Wringin Lawang batik motif plays a crucial role in strengthening Mojokerto's cultural identity while sustainably preserving the legacy of the Majapahit civilization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Online Customer Reviews and Online Customer Ratings on the Purchase Decisions of millennial consumers in Banjarbaru City who shop through the Shopee marketplace. The increasing trend of online shopping among millennials highlights the importance of understanding how consumer-generated information, such as reviews and ratings, shapes trust and affects the decision-making process. This research employs a quantitative approach with 100 respondents who have made purchases on Shopee within the past year. Data were collected using an online questionnaire with a Likert scale and using PLS-SEM to test validity, reliability, and the relationships among variables. The results indicate that both Online Customer Reviews and Online Customer Ratings have a positive and significant influence on Purchase Decisions. These findings suggest that the better and more credible the information shared by other consumers, the stronger the purchase intention among millennials. Practically, this research provides insights for marketers and online sellers to optimize review and rating systems as part of their digital marketing strategies to attract and retain millennial consumers in the competitive marketplace environment.
