Abstract

The risk in processing nutmeg syrup occurs in the My Sari Pala UKM. The presence of nutmeg that does not meet standards or is defective is a risk for Mysari Pala and can cause prolonged losses in the product production process. This research was conducted to determine the incidence of risks, impacts and risk mitigation in the My Sari Pala UKM. Risk calculations are carried out using the House of Risk (HoR) method. HoR is divided into 2 phases, where phase 1 is the phase of identifying events and risk agents, while phase 2 is the phase of designing mitigation strategies to effectively handle risk agents that will be implemented in UKM Mysari Pala. Found 14 risk events, 14 risk agents, 8 risk agents that were priorities and 6 others that were non-priorities. There are 14 handling strategies from risk agents with the 3 highest handling strategies based on ETD, namely making SOPs regarding specifications for nutmeg suitable for processing (PA6), placement of suppliers (PA2), regular temperature monitoring (PA11).

Abstract

Buton Tengah Regency is one of the districts in Southeast Sulawesi Province which has quite large marine and fisheries resource potential. Its position in seventh place as a large capture fisheries producer in Southeast Sulawesi Province requires the government to be able to manage this potential optimally for the welfare of the community. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the fisheries sector as a leading sector in the development of the Buton Tengah Regency region. The data used is secondary data from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Buton Tengah Regency 2016-2020 using the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis tool. The results of the LQ analysis show that the fisheries sector which is grouped into two sub-sectors can be categorized as basic and superior sectors for Buton Tengah Regency with a high level of specialization (cultivated fisheries sub-sector is 1.41 and capture fisheries sub-sector is 1.01). The results of this analysis show that the fisheries sector in Buton Tengah Regency has a competitive advantage (both aquaculture and capture fisheries sub-sectors) over the fisheries sector in Southeast Sulawesi Province. The recommended policy recommendations are: 1) increasing gross regional domestic product (GRDP) by developing a fisheries sector that is oriented towards markets outside the region or abroad; and 2) the fisheries sector needs to increase its competitiveness or competitive advantage through sustainable development of the fisheries industry (upstream - downstream).

Abstract

ABSTRACTTomatoes are one of the fruit commodities that can grow in the lowlands and highlands. However, the high water content makes tomatoes unable to last for a long time. Therefore, it is necessary to diversify tomatoes in order to have a higher selling value. One way of handling it is by processing tomatoes into dried candied fruits. Candied tomatoes in the form of dates at one of the UKM Kurmat (tomato dates) located in Lumajang Regency is a relatively new product so that it can provide a new alternative in creating business opportunities. The development of the candied tomato business in UMKM faces various obstacles. An appropriate business development strategy is needed through strategic planning to face intense competition. The results of the analysis using SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) on tomato date SMEs in Lumajang Regency show that this candied tomato business has been able to make good use of its strengths even though there are still some weaknesses. Capital is a factor that must be considered so that the business can develop properly. In addition, the threats faced by candied dates are more dominant than the opportunities that exist, namely the wider market reach of competitors so that the results of the SWOT analysis indicate that a business development strategy is needed in the form of supporting a diversification strategy or an ST (Strength and Threats) strategy in the form of implementing drying in accordance with GMP standards, analyzing risk management appropriately to avoid losses due to rising prices of supporting materials, applying appropriate promotional tools and attracting consumer interest, prioritizing the competitive advantages of products owned as a promotional event.

Abstract

This research aims to know the general description of the supply chain and the performance of the Arabica coffee supply chain at UPH Pusparahayu, Cigalontang District—, using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The location for the research was determined purposively, namely at UPH Pusparahyu, because it acts as the most significant coffee processing unit in the area and accommodates supplies from many farmers. The method of data analysis to find out the general description of the supply chain uses the concept of Food Supply Chain Networks (FSCN). Supply chain performance measurement was analyzed using the Supply-Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) method, which has five assessment attributes: reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, assets, and cost. The results of the study show an overview of the Arabica coffee supply chain in Cigalontang District, among others targeting the domestic market; the market structure consists of farmers, UPH Pusparahayu, and coffee shops; business process refers to a push or pull view with a variety of modern resources at the UPH level; and have supply chain management that is still conventional in terms of contracts and partner selection. Supply chain performance at the farm level for reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, and assets has reached a superior position, but the cost attribute is in a place of parity. In contrast, the results of performance measurements at the UPH level show an excellent post on reliability, responsiveness, and flexibility. Meanwhile, the asset and cost attributes have not reached the best position.
