Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini telah dipelajari dinamika penyebaran penyakit HIV/AIDS di Indonesia dengan menggunakan model matematika SIA (Susceptible-Infected-AIDS cases) yang dimodifikasi dengan menambahkan laju pengobatan dan kemanjuran obat. Dalam model SIA terdapat tiga subpopulasi yaitu S (Susceptible), I (Infected), dan A (AIDS cases). Diasumsikan bahwa populasi bersifat tertutup sehingga total populasi bernilai konstan. Parameter penelitian meliputi laju kelahiran alami , laju kematian alami , laju kematian akibat AIDS , laju perubahan individu menjadi  , laju perubahan individu menjadi  , laju pengobatan , dan kemanjuran obat . Penelitian diawali dengan menentukan bilangan reproduksi model  yang mendeskripsikan tingkat penyebaran penyakit pada suatu populasi. Dengan menggunakan nilai-nilai parameter yang didapatkan dari fitting data laporan kasus penyebaran HIV/AIDS di Indonesia pada Triwulan II tahun 2022 oleh Kementerian Kesehatan, didapatkan nilai R0=0,03. Karena nilai R01, maka terdapat kemungkinan bahwa penyakit HIV/AIDS akan hilang dari populasi di masa depan

Abstract

Background: The langsat plant is a traditional plant that has long been used as an alternative to treat various health problems. Langsat bark apparently has extraordinary benefits and is closely related to its ability to fight free radicals. The bad effects caused by free radicals on the body can be prevented by using a substance called an antioxidant. The benefits of antioxidants for the body include protecting body cells from damage caused by free radicals. Langsat bark has extraordinary benefits, one of which is that it contains compounds that are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer. Where langsat bark is known to contain several secondary metabolites, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids. Objective: This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of langsat (Lansium domesticum) bark extract. Method: Determination of antioxidant activity using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrihidrazyl) method. Results: The antioxidant value of vitamin C and langsat bark extract are included in the very strong antioxidant category because both have IC50 values 50 ppm. Where the IC50 value 50 ppm is classified as a very strong antioxidant. In testing vitamin C, an average IC50 value of 6,378 μg/mL was obtained, while for langsat bark extract an average IC50 value was 10,654 μg/mL.Conclusion: Langsat bark extract has an IC50 value of 10,654 μg/mL so it is categorized as a very strong antioxidant.

Abstract

Sebagai negara maritim, Indonesia memiliki potensi energi alternatif dari laut yang sangat melimpah. Salah satu upaya untuk mengelola besarnya potensi energi tersebut adalah dengan membangun sistem konversi energi panas laut atau yang dikenal sebagai OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion). OTEC bekerja seperti mesin kalor yaitu dengan memanfaatkan perbedaan suhu permukaan laut dan suhu pada kedalaman tertentu untuk kemudian dikonversi menjadi energi listrik. OTEC hanya dapat bekerja jika selisih suhu permukaan laut dan pada kedalaman tertentu lebih besar dari 200 C. Berdasarkan syarat tersebut, data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah suhu permukaan laut dan suhu pada kedalaman 600 meter. Data penelitian tersebut merupakan data sekunder yang didapatkan dari World Ocean Atlas, dan diolah dengan menggunakan Ocean Data View. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada stasiun 22623 dengan koordinat 124,50E/1,50S. Berdasarkan karakteristik suhu permukaan laut, didapatkan bahwa nilai efisiensi OTEC tertinggi dicapai pada bulan April yaitu 7,57% ketika suhu permukaan laut sebesar 29,580C. Sedangkan nilai efisiensi terendah dicapai pada bulan Februari yaitu 7,21% ketika suhu permukaan laut sebesar 28,30C. Berdasarkan karakteristik suhu tersebut, didapatkan nilai efisiensi rata – rata OTEC adalah 7,39%. Semakin tinggi nilai efisiensi, maka sistem OTEC akan bekerja semakin optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between teacher pedagogical competence and student learning outcomes in physics subjects at SMP Negeri 4 Ternate City. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data collection technique uses a random sampling technique with a correlational research design, with a population of 240. The sample in this study was 22 students of class VIII-5 SMP Negeri 4 Ternate City. Data were obtained using the Test technique for variable Y and non-test (questionnaire) for variable X. The research instrument in the form of data in the form of checklist guidelines, questionnaires for students that have been tested for validity and reliability, documentation. Data analysis uses normality tests, homogeneity tests, linearity tests, hypothesis tests consisting of one independent variable and one dependent variable. The results of this study obtained a questionnaire used to collect data validated with the product Moment correlation formula obtained 11 valid items of the tested statements. The reliability test of the questionnaire was also carried out on the 11 items of the teacher's professionalism statement using the Alpha method so that a reliability coefficient of 0.93 was obtained. teacher pedagogical competence data obtained the highest score of 55 and the lowest score of 45 with an average of 51.33, a variance of 15.25, and a standard deviation score of 3.90, and student learning outcome data obtained the highest score of 47 and the lowest score of 28 with an average of 17.72, a variance of 484.7, and a standard deviation score of 22.02. The statistical results obtained the product moment correlation between teacher professionalism and learning outcomes obtained 3.79 1.895 means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between teacher pedagogical competence and student learning outcomes, in other words between teacher pedagogical competence and learning outcomes there is a very strong correlation, this means that teacher pedagogical competence greatly influences student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an innovative and effective flipbook learning medium based on the morphological identification of macroscopic fungi in the pine plantation area of Mount Gumitir. The background of this research is based on the lack of attractive and relevant teaching materials for tenth-grade students, especially in the material on biodiversity and the role of fungi in ecosystems. The research method used is the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), which involves the stages of needs analysis, product design, development, and dissemination. Data collection was carried out in two stages: validation by experts (language, material, and media experts) and field trials on tenth-grade students at SMK Raudatul Ulum and SMK Bahrul Ulum. The instruments used included validation sheets for experts and student response questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the flipbook as a learning medium. The results showed that the developed flipbook met the valid criteria from all experts, with an average score indicating a very good category after the revision process. Student responses also showed positive results, with most students stating that the flipbook was attractive and easy to understand, and helped them improve their understanding of macroscopic fungi. Thus, it can be concluded that this Mount Gumitir-based local potential flipbook has the potential to be an effective and innovative alternative learning medium to improve the quality of biology learning, especially fungi material

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping human development and serves as the foundation for every citizen’s right to quality learning. Within the educational process, learning activities are central, and students’ interest in learning strongly influences academic success. This study aims to identify and measure students’ interest in learning biology at SMK Islam Al Azhar. The research was initiated in response to teachers’ concerns about the difficulty of assessing students’ learning interest, which affects the effectiveness of classroom instruction. A qualitative approach was adopted using three primary techniques: observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Participatory observations were conducted during lessons, followed by teacher interviews to validate the findings. Questionnaires based on established indicators of learning interest were then distributed to students. The results showed that the average questionnaire score among 20 active students was 72%, indicating a moderate level of learning interest. These results were supported by the data obtained from interviews and observations. Overall, the findings suggest that Grade X students at SMK Islam Al Azhar exhibit a moderate level of interest in biology, highlighting the need for innovative teaching strategies to enhance student motivation and engagement in science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the learning outcomes of Grade X students at MA Ar Rohmah through the implementation of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The participants consisted of 25 students from Grade X. The study employed a two-cycle CAR design, with each cycle comprising the stages of planning, implementation, pretest, post-test, and reflection. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and student activity observation sheets. The findings demonstrate a consistent improvement in students’ learning outcomes following the implementation of the classroom actions. In the first cycle, the average student score increased compared to the pre-action results; however, not all students met the Minimum Passing Grade (KKM). In the second cycle, after several instructional improvements were made, the average student score rose significantly, and the majority of students achieved or surpassed the established KKM. These results suggest that the systematic implementation of appropriate classroom action strategies can effectively improve the learning outcomes of Grade X students at MA Ar Rohmah.

Abstract

Teaching materials are one of the essential tools for achieving quality learning. A needs analysis revealed the absence of a basic chemistry textbook tailored for biology education. This research aims to develop a basic chemistry textbook for biology education that incorporates SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) and integrates Islamic values. It also aims to analyze its feasibility and practicality. The research method employed the 4D development model, which consists of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The final product validation results showed a score percentage of 90.28% for material validation, 91.67% for design validation, and 92.5% for the integration of Islamic values validation. Overall, the validation results categorized the textbook as highly feasible for use. The practicality test, conducted through questionnaires distributed to students who used the product, yielded a score percentage of 85.67%, which falls into the "practical" category. This indicates that the textbook is practical for use in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ketersediaan air bersih serta estimasi waktu terjadinya krisis air bersih di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) dengan mempertimbangkan pengaruh pertumbuhan penduduk dan deforestasi. Sebagai langkah pertama, kami membentuk model matematika berupa seperangkat persamaan diferensial orde satu untuk tiga variabel penelitian yaitu kuantitas air bersih , populasi penduduk , serta luas lahan . Selanjutnya kami menentukan solusi analitik dari model tersebut. Berikutnya, kami melakukan simulasi hasil penelitian dengan berbagai variasi nilai parameter. Parameter kontrol dalam penelitian ini adalah curah hujan akibat perubahan iklim secara alami. Sedangkan parameter bebas meliputi laju pertumbuhan penduduk, laju konsumsi air bersih, serta laju deforestasi. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa untuk laju deforestasi yang tetap kuantitas air bersih semakin menurun seiring meningkatnya laju pertumbuhan penduduk dan laju konsumsi air bersih. Untuk laju pertumbuhan penduduk dan laju konsumsi air bersih yang tetap, kuantitas air bersih semakin menurun seiring meningkatnya laju deforestasi. Berdasarkan model kami, didapatkan skenario terbaik yaitu ketika laju pertumbuhan penduduk 1,25% per tahun, laju konsumsi air bersih 50 m3 per orang/tahun, dan laju deforestasi 2% per tahun. Pada kondisi ini, didapatkan nilai estimasi waktu terjadinya krisis air yaitu  (tahun), terhitung sejak awal mulainya pembangunan IKN. Sedangkan skenario terburuk yaitu ketika laju pertumbuhan penduduk 3% per tahun, laju konsumsi air bersih 60 m3 per orang/tahun, dan laju deforestasi 2% per tahun. Pada kondisi ini, didapatkan nilai  (tahun).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan konvensional dan mengetahui besar perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan konvensional. Jenis  dari penelitian ini adalah eksperimen tipe control group pretest–posttest  design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Ternate yang berjumlah 60 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas. Setelah diperoleh 2 kelas sebagai sampel dalam penelitian, kemudian 2 kelas diacak untuk dapat menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Soal–soal tes yangdigunakan dalam penelitian adalah dalam bentuk essay yang terdiri dari 15 butir soal dengan skor maksimum 80. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji kesamaan dua rata-rata (Uji-t).Hasil analisis data diperoleh thit = 13,50 dengan dk = 58 dan taraf signifikan = 0,05 diperoleh ttab = 2,00. Hasil perhitungan data menunjukkan bahwa thit ttab atau 13,50 2,00 pada taraf signifikan 5% dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Ternate pada konsep getaran dan gelombang dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan konvensional yang dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis uji-t, sedangkan besarnya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Ternate pada konsep getaran dan gelombang yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe tipe Jigsaw dan konvensional dapat dilihat dari besar selisih nilai danyaitu 65,013atau 21,24%.
