Abstract

ABSTRACTSesewanua leaves (Clerodendron squamatum Vahl.) empirically used for an alternavite fevertreatment. The aims of this study was to investigate infuse of Sesewanua leaves hadantipyretic effectts for rabbits induced by vaccine DTP HB. This assay uses 15 rabbitsgrouped into 5 groups, the negative control (destilled water), the treatment (infuse ofSesewanua leaves 20%, 40% and 80%) and a positive (parasetamol). Rabbits induced pyrexiawith vaccine DTP HB doses 0,25ml/KgBB by intramuscular route. Rabbit’s rectaltemperature was measured every 1 hour until 4 hours after the oral administration. Thedecrease of rabbit’s rectal temperatur were analyzed by one way ANOVA and LSD test (α =0,05%). The result showed that infuse of Sesewanua in concentrates 20%, 40% and 80% hadantipyretics effect for rabbits induced by vaccine DTP HB.Keywords : Antipyretics effect test, Clerodendron squamatum Vahl., Vaccine DTP HB,rabbits

Abstract

ABSTRACTBeach Morning Glory is a plant that grew around the beach which has purple flower. BeachMorning Glory leaves contains chemical compounds such Flavonoids, Hydroquinonephenolic, alkaloids, and Tannins. Beach Morning Glory leaves has known as the medicine ofacne and furunkulosis that caused by Staphylococcus aureus. The topical product is needed toheal the skin infection. The purpose of this research were to test about physical quality ofcream based and Beach Morning Glory cream extract at the concentration between 2,5 %, 5%, and 7,5%. The result shows the cream base and Beach Morning Glory cream withconcentration of 2,5 %, 5 %, and 7,5 % fulfilled the Organoleptic and Homogenity test butwas not fulfilled in the standart parameter of pH and spreadabillity.Keywords : Ipomoea pes-caprae (L.) Abstract

ABSTRACTSchizophrenia is one of psychiatric disorders that caused by brain damage. The prevalence ofSchizophrenia patients in North Sulawesi were 2,4%. One way of Schizophrenia handling isgiving antipsychotics to prevent the symptoms. The aim of this research is to analyze the useof Antipsychotics on Schizophrenia patient which treated at Ratumbuysang Manado Hospital.This research is survey description research with data sampling by retrospective. Thisresearch were conducted to 142 medical records of patients period January 2013 to March2013 which receive Antipsychotics medication. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis(descriptive). Obtained data shows that the most single therapy of Antipsychotics isrisperidon (21,1%), and combined therapy was haloperidol and chlorpromazine (23,2%). Themost treatment category of Schizophrenia is the typical antipsychotic treatment (41,5%).Keywords : Schizophrenia, Antipsychotics, brain damage

Abstract

AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI DAN KARAKTERISASI SENYAWA SPONS Haliclona sp. YANG DIPEROLEH DARI TELUK MANADO FridlyManawan1), Defny Silvia Wewengkang1), Frenly Wehantouw1) 1) Program Studi Farmasi FMIPA UNSRAT Manado, 95115     ABSTRACT  Sponge is a component of a coral reef organisms that have bioactive potential has not been widely used. The aims of this study were to determine antibacterial inhibition of extracts and fractions Haliclonasp sponges against Staphylococcusaureus and Escherichiacoli,and to characterize compounds that possess the greatest inhibition between extracts or fractions of Haliclonasp. sponge. Samples was extracted by maceration and fractionation using hexane, chloroform, ethanol and methanol. Antibacterial activity performed by the agar diffusion method (Kirby and Bauer). Best extracts or fractions were characterized usingUV-Vis Spectrophotometry, FTIR and Mayer. The result shows that ethanol crude extract, chloroform fraction, and methanol fraction effectively inhibit the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus and chloroform fraction and methanol fraction effectively inhibit Escherichia coli, extracts and fractions categorized strong based on the criteria of Davis and Stout. Methanol fraction with the greatest antibacterial  contain major functional group such as N-H, C-H, C-O and C=O allegedly contain alkaloid that are potentially as antibacterial.  Keywords. Haliclona sp. sponges, Antibacterial activity, Staphylococcus aureus, Esherichia coli     ABSTRAK   Spons merupakan salah satu komponen biota penyusun terumbu karang yang mempunyai potensi bioaktif yang belum banyak dimanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan daya hambat antibakteri ekstrak dan fraksi spons Haliclona sp. terhadap bakteri staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli dan menentukan karakteristik senyawaekstrak dan fraksi spons Haliclona spyang memiliki daya hambat paling besar. Sampel diekstraksi secara maserasi dan fraksinasi menggunakan pelarut etanol, fraksi heksan, fraksi kloroform dan fraksi metanol. Aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi agar (Kirby and Bauer). Ekstrak atau fraksi terbaik dikarakterisasi menggunakan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis, FTIRdanpereaksi Mayer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak kasar etanol, fraksi kloroform dan fraksi Metanol efektif menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan fraksi kloroform dan fraksi metanol efektif menghambat bakteri Escherichia coli, ekstrakdanfraksidikategorikankuatberdasarkankriteria Davis dan Stout. Fraksimetanoldengandayahambatantibakteri paling besardengan gugus utama  N-H, C-H, C-O, C=Odidugamengandung alkaloid yang berpotensisebagaiantibakteri.   Kata kunci. Abstract

ABSTRACTTunicate are animals that belong to the subphylum that produce a lot of compounds such as antibacterial, antitumor, and anticancer. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of extracts and fractions of tunicates Polycarpa aurata from Manado Bay waters against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Tunicates Polycarpa aurata was extracted with 95% ethanol solvent, fractionation using partition method with n-hexane, chloroform and methanol solvent, and antibacterial testing using agar diffusion method Kirby Bauer. Most excellent antibacterial activity present in the methanol fraction inhibition of Escherichia coli by 17.69 mm and 16.25 mm for Staphylococcus aureus. The results of this study indicate that the methanol fraction of Tunicates Polycarpa aurata has activity to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli with a strong category.Keywords: Tunicates Polycarpa aurata, antibacterial, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coliABSTRAKTunikata adalah hewan yang termasuk subfilum yang banyak menghasilkan senyawa seperti antibakteri, antitumor, dan antikanker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak dan fraksi tunikata Polycarpa aurata dari perairan Teluk Manado terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Tunikata Polycarpa aurata diekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 95%, fraksinasi menggunakan metode partisi dengan pelarut n-heksan, kloroform dan metanol, dan pengujian antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi agar Kirby Bauer. Aktivitas antibakteri paling baik terdapat pada fraksi metanol dengan daya hambat bakteri Escherichia coli sebesar 17,69 mm dan Staphylococcus aureus sebesar 16,25 mm. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fraksi metanol Tunikata Polycarpa aurata memiliki aktivitas untuk menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli dengan kategori kuat.Kata kunci : Tunikata Polycarpa aurata, antibakteri, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli

Abstract

ABSTRACTDrug logistics management is a process of activities in the aspects of planning, procurement, storage, distribution and elimination of drugs. The purpose of this research is to know the description of the drug logistics management process at the Pharmaceutical Installation of Manado City Health Office as well as the availability of medicines needed by public health center from the implementation of drug logistics management. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with data retrieval conducted through in-depth and open in-depth in-person interviews of informants and observations. The results of the research obtained show that human resources in the management of drug logistics in pharmaceutical installations are insufficient in the process of drug logistics management. The source of funds in the drug management process comes from State Budget and Regional Budget. The methods used in drug planning are combination methods, disease pattern methods and consumption methods. Procurement is done with an e-catalogue system. The storage of the drug is stored in a pharmaceutical warehouse and arranged alphabetically and dosage form. Then for the distribution of drugs is done every month based on Usage Sheet And Drug Request Sheet. As for the elimination of the drug is done every 5 months before expired date by making news event removal of the drug. The conclusion of this study is the management of drug logistics in the pharmaceutical installation of the manado city health office, especially human resources is still insufficient because there is no acceptance of civil servants so that pharmaceutical workers are lacking. The process of managing drugs to puskesmas is also not fully fulfilled so that the puskesmas must equip themselves by using capitation funds from National Health Insurance.Keyword: Logistics Management, Pharmaceutical Installation, Health OfficeABSTRAKManajemen logistik obat merupakan proses kegiatan dalam aspek perencanaan, pengadaan, penyimpanan, pendistribusian dan penghapusan obat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran dari proses manajemen logistik obat di Instalasi Farmasi Dinas Kesehatan Kota Manado serta tersedianya obat yang dibutuhkan puskesmas dari pelaksanaan manajemen logistik obat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara langsung secara mendalam dan terbuka terhadap informan dan observasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa sumber daya manusia dalam manajemen logistik obat di instalasi farmasi berjumlah 3 orang Apoteker, 2 orang asisten Apoteker dan 9 orang THL. Sumber dana dalam proses pengelolaan obat berasal dari dana APBD dan APBN. Metode yang dipakai dalam perencanaan obat yaitu metode kombinasi, metode pola penyakit dan metode konsumsi. Pengadaan dilakukan dengan sistem e-catalogue. Penyimpanan obat disimpan dalam gudang farmasi dan disusun secara alfabet dan bentuk sediaan. Kemudian untuk pendsitribusian obat dilakukan setiap bulan berdasarkan LPLPO. Adapun untuk penghapusan obat dilakukan setiap 5 bulan sebelum expired date dengan membuat berita acara penghapusan obat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu manajemen logistik obat di instalasi farmasi dinas kesehatan kota manado khususnya SDM masih belum mencukupi karena belum adanya pemenerimaan pegawai negeri sehingga tenaga kefarmasian kurang. Proses pengelolaan obat ke puskesmas juga belum sepenuhnya tercukupi sehingga puskesmas harus melengkapi sendiri dengan menggunakan dana kapitasi dari JKN. Kata Kunci: Manajemen Logistik, Instalasi Farmasi, Dinas Kesehatan

Abstract

ABSTRACTAntibiotics are drugs used for infectious diseases. Irrational use of antibiotics can lead to resistance. In self-medication, inappropriate use of antibiotics often occurs. This is due to the lack of public knowledge about the proper and correct use of antibiotics. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and behavior of using self-medicated antibiotics in the community who visit the Bolaang Mongondow District Pharmacy. This study was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional approach to 195 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the level of public knowledge about antibiotics is still low (54%) and the level of behavior in using antibiotics is sufficient (61%).. Keywords: Antibiotics, self-medication, knowledge, use  ABSTRAKAntibiotik merupakan obat yang digunakan untuk penyakit infeksi. Penggunaan antibiotik yang tidak rasional dapat mengakibatkan resistensi. Dalam swamedikasi penggunaan antibiotik yang tidak tepat sering terjadi. Hal ini disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penggunaan antibiotik yang baik dan benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku penggunaan antibiotik secara swamedikasi pada masyarakat yang berkunjung di Apotek Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bersifat observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional terhadap 195 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang antibiotik masih tergolong kurang (54%) dan tingkat perilaku penggunaan antibiotik tergolong cukup (61%). Kata kunci: Antibiotik, swamedikasi, pengetahuan, penggunaan

Abstract

ABSTRACTSponges are one of the animals from the phylum porifera and are marine invertebrates that live in coral reef ecosystems. Sponges are multi-cellular marine biota whose tissue and organ functions are very simple. Sponge Stylissa carteri can produce secondary metabolites from metabolic processes in the cells that exist in the body. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the ethanolic extract of sponge Stylissa carteri from Mantehage Island, North Minahasa. Sponge Stylissa carteri was extracted by maceration method using ethanol as solvent. The antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl), which was measured by means of a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results of the study showed that the ethanolic extract of the sponge Stylissa carteri performed the antioxidant activity at each concentration, at a concentration of 0,5 mg/L (77,7 %), at a concentration 0,6 mg/L (86,13 %) and the highest was at a concentration of 0.7 mg/L with an inhibition value of 90.03%.Keywords: Antioxidant, DPPH, Stylissa carteri, MantehageABSTRAKSpons ialah salah satu spesies dari filum porifera juga merupakan invertebrata laut yang hidup pada ekosistem terumbu karang. Spons merupakan biota laut multi sel yang fungsi jaringan dan organnya sangat sederhana. Spons Stylissa carteri dapat menghasilkan metabolit sekunder dari proses metabolisme dalam sel yang ada pada tubuhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak etanol spons Stylissa carteri dari pulau Mantehage, Minahasa Utara. Spons Stylissa carteri diekstrak dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2- pikrilhidrazil) yang diukur dengan alat spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Abstract

ABSTRACT Drug information services are activities carried out by pharmacists in providing information about drugs that are impartial, evaluated critically and with the best evidence in all aspects of drug uses in other health professionals, patients or the community. The purposed of this study was to determine drug information services to patients in the pharmaceutical installation of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital Semarang. This study is a descriptive study by observing how the delivery of drug information to patients with a cross-sectional design by systematically recording using a checklist that contains components of drug information with 13 pharmacists on duty on total. The results of this study found that 78 patients who received services obtained information on the name of the drug, patients with drug doses, the number of drugs, information on indications and time drug uses are 100%. The results of the delivery of information on certain drugs with a total of 30 patients were obtained including 30 patients (100%) of drug interactions, and 27 patients (90%) and 3 patients (10%) did not received the drug. Information services for drugs carried out by pharmacists to patients generally met the standards in the very good category. Keywords: Drug Information Services, Pharmacy Installation, Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital Semarang  ABSTRAK Pelayanan informasi obat merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Apoteker dalam pemberian informasi mengenai obat yang tidak memihak, dievaluasi dengan kritis dan dengan bukti terbaik dalam segala aspek penggunaan obat pada profesi kesehatan lain, pasien atau masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelayanan informasi obat kepada pasien di instalansi farmasi Rumah Sakit Islam Sultan Agung Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan mengamati bagaimana penyampaian informasi obat pada pasien dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan mencatat secara sistematis menggunakan checklist yang berisi komponen informasi obat dengan jumlah sampel 13 Apoteker yang bertugas. Hasil pada penelitian ini didapatkan 78 pasien yang memperoleh pelayanan informasi menyebutkan nama obat, dosis obat, jumlah obat yang didapat, informasi indikasi obat dan waktu penggunaan obat adalah 100%. Hasil penyampaian informasi obat – obat tertentu dengan jumlah pasien 30 pasien yang didapat meliputi Interaksi obat 30 pasien (100%), dan cara penyimpanan obat 27 pasien (90%) dan 3 pasien tidak mendapatkan (10%). Pelayanan informasi untuk obat yang dilakukan oleh Apoteker kepada pasien secara umum sudah memenuhi standar dalam kategori sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Pelayanan Informasi Obat, Instalasi Farmasi, Rumah Sakit Islam Sultan Agung Semarang

Abstract

ABSTRACTWater hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms) contains compounds such as saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, and alkaloids which have antibacterial properties. This study aims to make a mouthwash formulation for water hyacinth extract (E. crassipes) and to test the antibacterial activity of the preparation with an extract concentration of 5%, 10%, and 15% against the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. This research uses experimental methods. The preparation formula for water hyacinth extract (E.crassipes) mouthwash is then carried out by quality testing which includes testing for organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, sedimentation test, and determination of density. The diffusion method was used to test the antibacterial activity against S. mutans growth. The results of the test of the quality of the preparations are stated in accordance with the standards. Mouthwash that has been defined, which has a clear color, distinctive smell of menthol and sweet, with a pH of 6,16; 6, 13; and 6,12. The preparations were also homogeneous without precipitates or coarse grains, the density in formulations 1, 2, and 3 was 1, 0245; 1, 0251; 1, 0253. The results of testing the antibacterial activity of water hyacinth leaf infusion extract with a concentration of 5%, 10%, and 15% showed that there was antibacterial activity, and the highest activity was at a concentration of 15% with a strong category. Keywords: Mouthwash, Water Hyacinth, Infundation, Antibacterial.  ABSTRAKEceng Gondok (Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms) memiliki kandungan senyawa saponin, flavonoid, polifenol, dan alkaloid yang bersifat sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formula sediaan mouthwash  ekstrak Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) serta menguji aktivitas antibakteri sediaan dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 5%, 10%, dan 15% terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental. Formula sediaan mouthwash ekstrak Eceng Gondok (E.crassipes) ini kemudian dilakukan pengujian mutu yang meliputi pengujian organoleptik, pH, homogenitas, uji sedimentasi, dan penetapan massa jenis. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri terhadap pertumbuhan S.mutans dilakukan dengan metode difusi. Hasil dari uji mutu sediaan dinyatakan sesuai dengan standar Mouthwash yang ditetapkan, yakni memiliki warna yang jernih, bau khas menthol dan manis, dengan pH 6, 16; 6, 13; dan 6, 12. Sediaan juga homogen tanpa  endapan maupun butiran kasar, massa jenis pada formulasi 1, 2, dan 3 adalah 1, 0245; 1, 0251; 1, 0253.  Hasil pengujian aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak infusa daun Eceng Gondok konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15% menunjukkan adanya aktivitas antibakteri, dan aktivitas tertinggi terdapat pada konsentrasi 15% dengan kategori kuat.Kata kunci: Mouthwash, Eceng Gondok, Infundasi, Antibakteri.
