Abstract

This research studies the development of the halal industry in Indonesia by highlighting the influence of institutional factors in halal certification. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, the demand for halal products is very high, making the halal industry has an important role in the national economy. The purpose of this study is to identify institutional factors that influence the growth and dynamics of the halal industry, including government regulations, the role of halal certification bodies, and support from religious and business organizations. The research method used is qualitative analysis, with secondary data collection from literature and industry reports as supporting analysis. The results show that strong and transparent government regulations, as well as close cooperation between certification bodies and industry players, are key factors in the development of the halal industry in Indonesia. In addition, the support and trust of Muslim consumers in halal-certified products also drives the growth of this industry. This study suggests improving inter-agency coordination and strengthening the regulatory framework to encourage sustainable growth of the halal industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best model and method for forecasting the growth of sukuk investment in Indonesia and to forecast the growth of Sovereign Sukuk investment seven years ahead, precisely at the end of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program in 2030. This quantitative study uses Sovereign Sukuk data from 2009 to 2023 obtained from Bank Indonesia (BI). The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, which uses 179 monthly data on Indonesian Sovereign Sukuk investment. The data analysis in this study uses the eviews 10 application with an econometric approach. The results of this study analysis show that the best method for forecasting sukuk investment growth in Indonesia is ARIMA Box Jenskins with the ARIMA (7,1,1) model. The growth value of Indonesian Sovereign Sukuk investment after forecasting for the next seven years continues to increase yearly. This is triggered by the increasing public awareness to contribute to Indonesia's development. The peak growth in Sovereign Sukuk investment is predicted to occur in 2030 at the end of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, showing a figure of Rp. 1.167.071.086.806.520. This condition should be a concern to the government, so that Sovereign Sukuk can be utilised to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method. It was conducted directly on the subject, namely the female traders at the Lau Cih Central Market in Medan. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed qualitatively using data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The findings reveal that the contribution of female traders in the Lau Cih Central Market includes alleviating the financial burden on their families, acting as the breadwinners or heads of households, and helping to improve family finances. Despite these roles, they do not neglect their primary responsibilities as homemakers, balancing their time between work and family matters. From an Islamic economic perspective, a wife working is not in conflict with Islamic law, as a working wife is considered to be assisting her husband in providing income, which is seen as a form of devotion in supporting the family. The factors motivating a wife to work include economic necessity, social factors, and self-actualization.

Abstract

In Indonesia, Muslim fashion is increasingly important as an expression of religious identity and values, with consumers, particularly university students, utilizing technology to select products that comply with halal principles and Islamic ethics. This study aims to understand the influence of Muslim fashion consumption behavior in digital technology. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires with a sample of 100 active students at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business at UIN North Sumatra, then analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS 22 software. The results show that Muslim fashion consumption behavior has a significant effect on technology utilization, with a t-count value of 9.056 and a p-value of 0.000, far below the 0.05 significance limit. The coefficient of determination (R-squared) of 0.456 indicates that 45.6% of the variation in technology utilization can be explained by Muslim fashion consumption behavior. This indicates that digital technology makes it easier for students to choose fashion products that are in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of ROA, NPF, NPM, BOPO and FDR on CAR. The sample used in this research used 60 data. The analytical tools used were Classic assumption test, multiple linear regression, t test, F test and determinant coefficient. The research results show that partially the variable Return on Assets (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on the Capital Adequation Ratio (CAR) and the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) has a positive and insignificant effect on the Capital Adequation Ratio (CAR). Meanwhile, Non-Performing Financial (NPF), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Operating Costs/Operating Income (BOPO) have a negative and significant effect on the Capital Adequation Ratio (CAR). Simultaneously, the variables Return on Assets (ROA), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Operational Costs/Operational Income (BOPO), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) have a significant positive effect on the Capital Adequation Ratio (CAR ). The determinant coefficient r square value of 0.571 means that the variables Return on Assets (ROA), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Operational Costs/Operational Income (BOPO), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) have an impact on The Capital Adequation Ratio (CAR) is 57.1% and there are still other variables remaining at 42.9%
