Abstract

This research is motivated by the Russian attack on Ukraine that occurred on February 24, 2022, which resulted in instability in the global stock market. This study aims to determine the reaction of the stock market in ASEAN countries to the event of Russia's invasion of Ukraine by comparing the abnormal value of returns before and after the event. Using quantitative methods based on the event study approach, this research was conducted on six ASEAN stock markets, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand with an observation period of 30 days before and after the Russian-Ukrainian invasion. The data analysis techniques used in this study were normality tests and different tests with the Paired Sample T-Test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the two different tests carried out showed abnormal return values that tended to be positive and insignificant. This means that the stock market reaction of ASEAN countries to the events of Russia's invasion of Ukraine is not so great or the information content is not very strong. In another sense, the announcement of this event does not put pressure on investors on the ASEAN stock market. The results of this study can help investors to see and evaluate the development of the stock market in ASEAN countries. This research can be a consideration for investors to see the resilience of ASEAN stock markets to an event that occurs.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the export of palm oil from Indonesia to Malaysia where there are inconsistencies in the determinants that affect the value of exports which can be seen from the number of production levels, the international trade price index (IHPI) and the rupiah exchange rate. speed. This shows the need for research. more about palm oil exports. In this study aims to determine, analyze, explain the influence of Indonesian palm oil exports to Malaysia. The type of research used is quantitative research supplemented by data for the period 2007 to 2021 sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The data analysis technique used in this study is the Multiple Regression test which includes the Classical Assumption Test, and the Hypothesis Test. The results of the two tests show that in terms of production volume, the International Trade Price Index (IHPI) tends to be positive and not significant, while the rupiah exchange rate tends to be negative and not significant. This means that Indonesian palm oil exports to Malaysia have increased and decreased unbalanced, so these export activities require a strategy that can emphasize export figures by providing information to domestic and foreign investors, both private and government agencies, to pay more attention to several governments.

Abstract

Poverty is a problem that is still being faced in every region in Indonesia. So several things must be considered in handling it. In Islam the solution to reducing poverty can be done by using ZIS especially since Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world with a total of 231.06 million people. In Indonesia, the management of ZIS funds is always increasing. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the ZIS funds collected experienced an increase which was expected to reduce the poverty rate that occurred in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to examine several variables that affect poverty levels including Domestic Investment, Economic Growth, Open Unemployment and ZIS Funds (Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah). This study used a quantitative approach and secondary data taken from BPS and National Development Planning Agency for 2008 – 2022. The data was processed using the E-views 9 application with the classical assumption test, multiple regression test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the investment and economic growth variables had no significant effect with a probability value of 0.1362 and 0.6077, the open unemployment variable had a significant effect with a probability value of 0.01 and had a positive direction with a coefficient of 5.989262, while the ZIS variable had no significant effect with a probability value of 0.40 and has a positive direction with a coefficient of 0.209688. The implication of this research is to increase the awareness of the Indonesian people regarding zakat in order to reduce the poverty rate in Indonesia.

Abstract

The increasing popularity of halal cosmetics among students who consume The Originote products, a well-known brand in Indonesia, is the driving force for this research. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of brand awareness, religiosity, halal labels, and E-WOM through brand trust on purchasing decisions. 123 respondents from Kudus City residents who use Originote cosmetics are the sample size in this quantitative research. Partial Least Square (PLS), which is a variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, is used in the analysis of this research. These findings show how brand awareness and E-WOM can be strongly mediated in purchasing decisions through brand trust variables. However, there is no visible mediating effect of brand trust in halal labels and religiosity on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing consumer decisions to purchase Somethinc cosmetics, with a focus on the effects of halal certification, brand image, and influencer endorsements. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data was collected through surveys from 179 consumers who have purchased or used Somethinc products. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and data analysis included validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing, and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that Muslim consumers are particularly cautious about choosing cosmetics that align with both their beauty needs and religious values. Influencer recommendations, halal certification, and a positive brand image significantly impact purchasing decisions. These findings provide valuable insights for cosmetic companies like Somethinc, suggesting that improving product quality, building a strong brand, and collaborating with relevant influencers can effectively reach and engage a broader consumer base.

Abstract

Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS) represents an innovative social investment instrument in Indonesia, combining cash waqf (Islamic endowment) with government sukuk (Sharia-compliant bonds). Despite its significant role in funding education, healthcare, and economic development, the substantial potential of CWLS remains underutilized due to a disparity between its projected benefits and the limited participation of potential investors. The study aims to predict the intention of Islamic banking customers to engage in cash waqf through State Sukuk or CWLS in West Java. It employs the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to investigate the behavioral intentions of Islamic banking customers in West Java, Indonesia, toward adopting CWLS. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 119 respondents who are active customers of Islamic banks. The findings reveal that attitude toward behavior and subjective norms do not significantly influence behavioral intention, whereas perceived behavioral control (PBC) emerges as a critical predictor of intention to participate in CWLS. Among demographic variables, only age moderates the relationship between attitude toward behavior and behavioral intention. The study identifies low public awareness, limited financial literacy, and mistrust in CWLS mechanisms as key barriers. To bridge this gap, stakeholders must prioritize widespread socialization campaigns, particularly targeting productive-age demographics, to enhance trust and literacy. Strategic promotion of CWLS’s dual benefits—social impact and financial returns—is recommended to accelerate investor participation and maximize its socioeconomic potential.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK - Bagaimana Faktor Perilaku Membentuk Niat Investasi dalam Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk di Indonesia?

Abstract

Kedungwungu Village is one of the villages with prime commodities in the form of rice agricultural products. The existence of rice farming products has a positive impact on economic growth in Kedungwungu Village. However, the boom in rice farming also hurts society. Straw waste which is the result of rice farming is not utilized by the people of Kedungwungu Village. The people of Kedungwungu Village prefer to burn or leave straw waste next to the rice fields. Accumulating straw waste can pollute the environment and even cause various diseases. Meanwhile, burning straw waste can hurt human health and pollute the air. Based on these problems, outreach, and training on straw crafts were carried out to minimize the non-utilization of straw waste by the people of Kedungwungu Village. There are two sessions, namely a socialization session and a training session. The outreach session aims to provide public understanding of the dangers of not utilizing straw waste from various aspects of life. Meanwhile, the training session provided the public with an understanding of the use of straw waste in more useful items, namely straw crafts. This activity involved members of the Kedungwungu Village PKK as participants. From this activity, it was found that the participants were happy with the activities carried out because they could provide insight into the negative impacts of not utilizing straw waste and how to use it. Participants also explained that with this activity they also gained knowledge about making crafts from straw waste which adds functional value and economic value.

Abstract

Kudus City is one of the cities with numerous tourist destinations, particularly in halal tourism. The influx of visitors necessitates the development of facilities that align with their preferences to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat visits. This study aims to assess the impact of halal facilities and social media on the interest in revisiting, with visitor satisfaction serving as an intervening variable. This quantitative research employs the Path Analysis method, supported by IBM SPSS software version 27. The findings reveal that the variables of halal facilities and social media positively and significantly affect visitor satisfaction, thus confirming the hypothesis. Furthermore, these variables also positively and significantly influence the interest in revisiting, which again supports the hypothesis. The study also finds that halal facilities and social media have a positive and significant impact on the interest in returning through the mediating variable of visitor satisfaction, validating the hypothesis. Additionally, the social media variable has a positive and significant effect on the interest in revisiting, reinforcing the hypothesis. However, the influence of the halal facility variable on the interest in revisiting is found to be insignificant, leading to the rejection of this particular hypothesis.
