Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

<![CDATA[This research aims to develop digital literacy model through a school culture-based. Digital literacy was chosen considering the development of information through digital media. This study used Research and Development (RD). The research step was to collect data and design a product in a literacy model design based on school culture. The components of developing a school culture-based digital literacy model consist of participants, select participants, a digital literacy program in the form of training, the content of digital literacy programs in the form of exercise, media, teaching materials, assessment, program socialization, implementation, evaluation and mentoring. This research is the design of a guideline for implementing a school culture-based digital literacy model that can be used in digital literacy activities in schools.]]>

<![CDATA[Pesantren is required to be competitive in the field of science. The presence of the SMP-BP program is one of the efforts to improve science education in Islamic boarding schools. Leadership and culture are essential factors in encouraging the level of organisational management effectiveness. This article aims to deepen knowledge of practices in pesantren culture and its dynamics concerning the effectiveness of pesantren organisations (SMP-BP implementation). The research paradigm is qualitative. Data is obtained through interviews and observations. This research involved pesantren managers consisting of leaders, deputy leaders, and several pesantren teachers in Aceh Tenggara district. This research is necessary because it examines a culture in a practical perspective that visualises and concretises the complexities in Islamic boarding school culture concerning the dynamics of work improvement. The results showed that the formation of pesantren culture is a fundamental principle in creating organisational effectiveness. This study investigates the forms of practice carried out by pesantren managers in increasing organisational effectiveness. Identifying the improvement in the management of pesantren is influenced by the policy factors of the pesantren leadership. Three practices identified in an organisational culture approach are leadership mechanisms, management revitalisation, change commitment, and building organisational culture. The research has implications as material for further studies on strengthening organisational culture both contextually and conceptually on the dynamics of education management.]]>

<![CDATA[The study aims to determine and describe the effect of principal academic supervision, principal transformational leadership, and school climate toward pedagogic and professional competence of teachers in Senior High School in Lembata Regency. The research uses a quantitative approach with the ex-post facto type. The population was 200 teachers of Senior High School who taught national exam subjects in Lembata Regency. The sample was 127 teachers using the simple random sampling technique. Data collection used is questionnaires with expert validation and empirical tests. Multiple regressions are used to analyze the data. Based on the study results, it was found that the principal's academic supervision affected teacher competence. The principal's transformational leadership also affected teacher competence, and the school climate affected teacher competence. So that the principal's academic supervision, principal's transformational leadership, and school climate on teacher competence in Lembata.]]>

<![CDATA[The quality of students graduating from vocational high school can be improved if the principal's leadership and increased industrial participation are supported. The purpose of this study is to analyze. This study employs a quantitative approach and path analysis techniques in conjunction with a survey method. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. Instruments were thoroughly tested prior to their use in research. Validity and reliability tests are conducted on the instruments. The data analysis in this study was conducted using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. This study was conducted at seven State Vocational High Schools in Serang City. Principals' leadership and industrial participation, according to research, have a direct effect on school quality. The principal's leadership directly impacts the school's quality. Industry involvement has a direct positive effect on the quality of education. Principal leadership has a positive effect on labor participation directly. This research implies a shift in perspective regarding the quality of State Vocational Schools in Serang City, particularly at the leadership level as a manager accountable for the graduates' quality. School leaders ensure that collaboration with industry is demonstrated through participation in the development of industry-related curricula.]]>

<![CDATA[This present study reports 30 students' first learning experiences when using Skype in an English Language Teaching (ELT) webinar series. Since numbers of ELT webinars have been flourishing throughout the corona pandemic situation in 2020, the utilization of diverse online platforms to facilitate the events has also been growing. Skype, an online application released in 2003, was not widely used by the participants in this study as their synchronous virtual English Language Learning (ELL) platform. As a result, many of them were not familiar with this application. Underpinning Gibbs' reflective framework, this qualitative scrutiny documented the encountered shortcomings and advantages written in the participants' journal. This study's findings revealed that the Skype-based webinar provides opportunities to stimulate the students' learning motivation, broadens their insights, and offers enjoyable learning circumstances. Despite the opportunities, there were also some drawbacks concerning the lack of intelligibility which generates learning anxiety and technical issues concerning signal stability.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to produce an online learning evaluation instrument that is considered feasible by material experts, evaluation experts and through item analysis and user response questionnaires. This research was conducted with a 4D development model. The instruments used in this study were the material expert's feasibility assessment sheet, evaluation expert, item analysis and user response questionnaires, namely lecturers and students. The data analysis in this study used a rating scale and the item analysis used the product-moment, Kuder-Richardson, the discrimination power and the difficulty level of the questions. Through the item analysis of the 25 questions selected 10 questions that meet the discrimination power,difficulty level, validation and reliability. The reliability coefficient is 0.851 which is classified as high reliability. Meanwhile, the evaluation of material experts was 85.4%, expert evaluation was 88%, student response was 90.7% and lecturers were 90%. Based on the feasibility content, the overall learning evaluation instrument using the quizizz application is declared feasible.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in the development of primary school pupils' ability to compose basic phrases. The descriptive qualitative research approach was adopted in this study. The information was gathered through observation, interviews, and the review of records. Participants in the study were first-grade instructors at SDN 151 Pekanbaru, in the province of Riau. Data triangulation is used in the data credibility test because it allows researchers to double-check their findings by comparing them to other sources. According to the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, there are three steps: (1) data collection (data collection), (2) data presentation (data presentation), and (3) conclusion formulation and verification (conclusion drawing). The findings of the study indicate that the teacher's role in helping grade I students at SDN 151 Pekanbaru learn to write basic sentences has been going fairly well, with numerous stages, such as being a teacher, mentor, trainer, and learning manager, all of which have been quite successful. In addition to improving the quality of the teaching and learning process by providing adequate learning facilities, the findings of this study have broader ramifications.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of character values for students is an obligation for every higher education institution to ensure that students' national education goals and competency achievements can be carried out correctly. This study aims to describe and obtain data about the role of Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN) Aceh in fostering student character values. The method used in this research is descriptive. Data was collected using qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in interviews, documentation, observation, and FGD. Data analysis was performed using data reduction techniques, data presentation and data verification and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the role of PTKIN Aceh in fostering student character values was carried out through the formulation of a vision and mission, curriculum, programs, rules, facilities, and the implementation of lecture activities that were oriented towards student character. Character planting in lecture activities is still carried out in various ways by each course instructor.]]>

<![CDATA[There must be a high level of focus on principals' quality of human resources in education. This focus must be demonstrated by a commitment and capacity to optimally strengthen managerial abilities and motivate their subordinates, mainly teachers and education professionals, to better their work. Based on this research, the impact of principal managing skills on teacher performance, motivational factors, job satisfaction on teacher performance, and the influence of job satisfaction on principals' managerial skills and teacher performance. Descriptive verification with a quantitative approach—sampling utilizing non-probability sample type—is used in this study. tcount ttable (6.094 1.666), tcount ttable (9.366 1.666) and rcount ttable (0.000). The results of this study indicate that (1) the principal's managerial skills have an impact on teacher performance, (2) there is a significant and also influence between motivation and teacher performance, and (3) there is an influence between Job Satisfaction on Teacher Performance because the rcount ttable (0.000). There is no significant effect of Job Satisfaction interaction moderating the effect of Skills managerial principal to teacher performance, as the results of tcount ttable (0.769 1.666) with a significance value of 0.444 0.05 and tcount ttable (0.161 1.666) with a significance value of 0.872 0.05 show. Systems audit materials require direct skills and in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find an integrative model of social care character in social science subjects in elementary schools using integrative moral knowledge, moral feelings, moral sinverbals, moral action, moral habitus and moral culture. The reality that happens is that students experience moral degradation so that they need the integration of character education in the learning process. The formulation of the research problem is how to model the integration of national character education in social science learning. The research method used qualitative methods with 10 informants consisting of the principal, teachers, students, parents. The data technique used interview, observation and documentation instruments, then the data were analyzed through data reduction, data display and verification. The paradigm used in the research is the moral education paradigm. The results of the research model of the integration of social caring character education consist of six moral levels, namely moral knowledge, moral feelings, moral synergy, moral action, moral habits and moral culture which are integrated with the values of social caring character in the learning process of social science.]]>
