To better understand the impact of empowerment and locus of control on teachers' job satisfaction at State Elementary School, this study was conducted. Elementary school teachers were surveyed in the Bathin Solapan District of Bengkalis Regency in Indonesia. The Ex Post Facto model is used as a quantitative approach in the study. The Slovin formula was used to generate 67 samples from a population of a given size using proportional random sampling. In order to ensure the validity and reliability of a questionnaire, it was first tested in a controlled environment. Furthermore, multiple regression was used to analyze the data. According to the findings, both empowerment and locus of control had a positive and significant effect on teacher job satisfaction. And the two variables account for 68.3 % of the total, with the rest influenced by factors outside the scope of this investigation. They show a sense of responsibility for the assigned tasks by doing so. Teaching duties or work will be simple for teachers to help students achieve job satisfaction.

This study explores teachers' and students’ perceptions of task-based language teaching in teaching speaking and the teacher's techniques in implementing task-based language teaching in teaching speaking. This study employs an explanatory case study design with an English teacher and 35 students of vocational schools in Indonesia involved in this study. Semi-structured interviews and classroom observations were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed qualitatively using interactive models of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). The finding indicates that both teacher and students had a positive perception toward task-based language teaching, especially its implementation in speaking class. Implementing task-based language teaching in speaking classes makes the classroom environment more effective. The implication indicates that how the teacher sets the knowledge into classroom implementation is related to what the teacher has understood about task-based language teaching.

This study aimed to determine whether or not there is quality improvement of HOTS-based questions through multimodal feedback made by English teachers. Besides, this study intended to find out the forms of feedback given during the implementation of multimodal feedback and English teachers' perception of multimodal feedback in designing HOTS-based English questions workshops. This study used a mixed-method involving 30 English teachers willing to participate in the training. Furthermore, research data collection was done through the provision of tests, interviews, and observations. Several experts have validated the instruments used in this study. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS, while qualitative data in interviews and observation sheets were analyzed using several stages, including data reduction, data display, and concluding. The results of this study indicated a quality improvement of HOTS-based English questions that have been made by English teachers, which was evidenced by an increase in the results from pretest to posttest. The next finding is that three types of feedback helped teachers make HOTS-based English questions through multimodal feedback: peer feedback, oral conference, and written feedback. Another finding was that English teachers gave a positive perception towards designing HOTS-based English questions through multimodal feedback because these activities provided positive input on their ability to make HOTS-based English questions. In conclusion, the findings of this study benefit English teachers in designing HOTS-based questions, so that teachers can implement the result of the workshop in the teaching and learning process.
