Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the pedagogical skills of students in applying mathematics learning in elementary schools. The pedagogical skills studied focused on skills in making lesson plans and implementing learning. The method used was descriptive quantitative research method. The research sample used was 13 students of the 5th semester elementary school teacher education study program. The results showed that the students' pedagogical skills were in the good category with an average score of 81.11%. Recommendations that can be given are the need for students to be accompanied on an ongoing basis starting from the stage of making lesson plans, implementation, to evaluation when the implementation of mathematics learning is simulated in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the needs analysis of the development of an AR-based microbiology practicum guide on viral material. This type of research is the research and development (RD). The development model used in this research is to modify the 4D development model. The population in the study were students of the fifth semester of Biology Education, FKIP UMB and course lecturers. The instrument used is a needs analysis questionnaire for students and for course lecturers. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and the percentage of the number of answers given was divided by the total number of respondents multiplied by 100%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that all students agree to develop an AR (microbiology practicum guideAugmented Reality)on virus material because it is important to use an AR-based practicum guide. In addition, based on the results of the analysis of the needs of the lecturers, the lecturers do not know or know the AR application. In addition, there is no specific microbiology practicum guide for AR-based virus material in the study program environment. The use of AR media-based practicum guides is one solution in understanding the content of the material, especially virus material. The thing that must be considered in the practicum guide is that the content and format must be complete and systematic so as to make it easier for students to understand the course of the practicum which contains materials, tools/materials, working methods to the format and reporting of results.

Abstract

With the theme of web-based photography gallery, this study aims at collecting and centralising scattered data on local wisdom in Palembang and Surakarta. With both having long history in their existence, Palembang and Surakarta are home to many and various cultural heritage. This study tries to collect information about these and centralise them into a valid, practical and effective photography gallery that will help with students' learning. This is because in developing a medium like this, not only can it be a way of preserving cultural heritage, the end result of collected data and information can be a rich, interesting source of learning materials. All the steps taken in this study all lead to the main objective mentioned earlier, collecting and centralising historical photos of Palembang and Surakarta across a span of time periods in a way that is comprehensive and interesting, especially in terms of academics or education. This study uses the ADDIE Model for its research and development process. The data is collected through individual interviews (culture practitioners, historians, local residents of Palembang and Surakarta, etc.) as well as reviewing existing websites of the same category. The end product of this research has gone through expert validation in terms of materials, media and language, and is considered valid. After that the validated product underwent one-to-one and small group evaluation to assess its practicality, effectiveness and attractiveness.

Abstract

This research was conducted to reveal the efforts of parents in Bulutellue Village, especially from the farming community in nurturing their children based on the spirit of mattola palallo. The spirit of mattola palallo is related to the expectations of parents for their children to be able to achieve a standard of living that exceeds the lives of their parents both in terms of education and economic welfare. The researcher used a qualitative method where data were collected through observation and interviews. The results showed that the efforts of parents in nurturing their children with the spirit mattola palallo approach were taken by introducing the main values of Bugis culture, namely lempu (honest), adele (fair), macca (scholar), and sitinaja (proper). The spirit of mattola palallo is also instilled in children based on the conditions of the times that demand collaboration in solving problems while achieving a prosperous life.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to test the feasibility of a raspberry python-based prototype spectrum analyzer and a software-defined radio-level transfer register designed to meet the practical needs of the Telecommunications Engineering laboratory. For the initial stage, the feasibility test was carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Pangkep, South Sulawesi. The method of data collection was carried out using a test and questionnaire method to determine the effectiveness and feasibility of the developed teaching aids. The subjects for assessing the wireless turn signal system teaching aid were media experts and material experts as many as 2 teaching staff from SMK Negeri 1 Pangkep, Department of Communication and Networking Engineering in the field of wireless Engineering. The results showed that the feasibility of the spectrum analyzer trainer as a learning medium for wireless technology practice based on the results of expert and user tests, it was found that the percentage level of feasibility of wireless learning media as a learning medium was 80.19% which could be categorized as very feasible.

Abstract

Social competence is one of the competency standards that teachers must possess to be accredited as educators. With the social competence of teachers, they can communicate and associate effectively with any circle. Teacher competence is theoretically studied separately based on government law no. 14/2005 on teachers and lecturers. This research aims to determine the EFL teachers' social competence in Junior High School who followed the Professional Education Program. The sample of this study was 47 EFL teachers in the 2020-2021 academic year taken from the first and second Batches. The instrument used to collect data was closed questionnaires in the google form using the Likert scale. The collected data were then computerized and tabulated using descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage). The results showed that most EFL teachers (55%) agreed to treat students fairly and not discriminate against their parents/guardians and the school environment because of their religion, ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic status. EFL teachers also discuss with colleagues and provide positive responses to others, can adapt well or adapt anywhere, and communicate the results of learning innovation through various media, peers, the scientific profession orally, writing, and other forms. It indicates that the Professional Education Program for In-Service Teachers contributes to the EFL teachers of junior high schools, in particular on social competence.

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain student motivation for learning in the Elementary Mathematics Education Research Course by utilizing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method. The sample for this study is made up of 37 PGSD students at Yogyakarta State University. The data collection methods used were observation, a questionnaire focused on student motivation to learn, and student-led project evaluation. The data analysis technique employed is descriptive statistical analysis. The findings indicated that students' motivation for learning elementary mathematics research subjects was high, and their projects were excellent.

Abstract

Life has been changing rapidly. Industrial Revolution 4.0 is developed for people to make a novelty. Education as one of the important parts of people’s life is needed to be prepared for every change to improve the teaching and learning system. This article discusses a study conducted by using developmental research with the development of the 4-D design. This study was a Study Room Blog that was conducted for students who could learn individually based on the previous research and only focused on web development or e-module. The advantage of this Study Room Blog was equipped with an evaluation of students’ scores that could be accessed by teachers. The study involved the students in Elementary School to see their reading literacy. Based on the validator assessment result, the average score from the validation of IT-Technology Experts was 80, which was categorized as good. And the average score from the validation of the Linguist was 81.17, which was categorized as very good. It means that the blog could be used in the teaching and learning activity. After obtaining the validation assessment result from validators, then, this study room blog was applied by using a limited try-out which was applied in two classes, the experimental and control classes. In the experimental class, the average score of pre-test result was 50.71 which increased to the average score of post-test result, 80.9. In the control class, meanwhile, the average score of pre-test result was 60.57 which increased to the average score of post-test result, 75.89. Thus, the use of the study room blog was increasingly effective in learning reading literacy. It means that the study gives a contribution to the teacher and students in increasing reading literacy through the Study Room Blog as an interactive media in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

This research examines the role of the availability of waqf systems in supporting the development of three-dayah education in Aceh. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Islam as a religion of rahmatan lil alamin and bring peace governs all patterns of human life, starting its relationship with Allah (habluminallah) and its relationship with humans (habluminannas). Learning the teachings of Islam means requiring teaching, teaching is obtained in the institute of education. Traditional educational institusions commonly dayah still show their exclusitivity until now because it is supported by the availability of waqf. The results showed that in three Dayah Aceh, namely Dayah MUDI and Dayah Daarul Huda utilizing waqf property for the availability of learning rooms and teacher dormitories to support education development. Dayah Ashasul Islamiyah develops waqf property to increase economic value and social welfare through the utilization of shrimp ponds. The positive impact of the availability of waqf in three dayah in Aceh is the increase in student achievement and welfare for teachers.

Abstract

As we know that learning requires materials to support its activities. This study aims to determine the feasibility of teaching materials in the form of a book entitled Problem Based Learning (PBL) method through Marquee Media. The research method in this study is RD by Sugiono. The setting of this research was in the Hasyim Asy’ari University. The data was collected by interview and questionnaire. The data was analyzed by using expert review, limited trial, and field trial. This research resulted a textbook that not only is assessed by the expert validators but also given suggestions and input for revision improvements.
