Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

The purpose of this research is to describe the strategy of culinary business adaptation and integration of culinary business adaptation into the teaching materials of hospitality business study programs in the city of Pare-Pare during the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach of this type of case study, Researchers sought to uncover the reality of the meaning that occurred in the field about the form of culinary business adaptation in the city of Pare-Pare during the covid-19 pandemic as material for medical business courses (BHO). In this case, the researcher conducts interviews, observations and documentation to get information about the main theme of studies. The analysis of the data is carried out circularly, starting from the presentation of data, reduction of data and conclusions. The results of his research are: 1) Social commitment characterized by new activities and ways of life that refer to "happy business, happy worker, happy customer"; 2) Innovation of business digitization one of them is switching to non-cash transactions, making online sales, the emergence of creativity and innovation in the use of technology to raise the value of kuline products 3) The development of culinary business in the city of Pare-pare can be used as one of the references for the source of hospitality business teaching materials. This research also provides a recommendation in writing a teaching book about the management of culinary businesses in the city of Pare-Pare as a guideline for the development of creative economy-based businesses in optimizing business potential in the New Normal Period.

This research aims to find out the students’ achievement by using HOTS as learning strategy in reading comprehension at grade VIII of SMP Yayasan Perguruan Keluaraga Pematangsiantar. The aspect of students’ achievement overwhelming, remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. These aspects were seen in Descriptive text. The research subject belongs to students in class VIIIA and VIIIB. The data are collected using qualitative method, namely the type of basic interpretative studies in which the data obtained used questionnaires to the student in the form of a Google form. In collecting data questionnaires were shared to 65 respondents. It was used to describe the topic related to the phenomenon happen in reading comprehension through HOTS. The research findings highlight C1-C6 phase which almost of students gave positive response to each statement of criteria HOTS. The achievement in six aspects of reading comprehension used HOTS, they are remembering text with strongly agree scale 58,4%, understanding supporting sentence with strongly agree 50,2%, applying decoding process with agree scale 49,2%, analyzing main ideas with strongly agree 50,2%, evaluating inference with agree scale 51,7%, and creating new ideas with agree scale 53,3%.

This study aims to determine the elements of learning innovation, differences and similarities, as well as candidates for Islamic religious education learning innovations in two Model MTsN of Aceh province. This research method uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data was then analyzed by descriptive analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: 1) The innovation of Islamic religious education learning at the two MTsN models was carried out through the enrichment of the Islamic religious education curriculum, which included sharpening, remedial, and coaching programs. At MTsN Model Aceh, learning innovation also includes a variety of methods, from monotonous to varied, and from lectures to discussions, exercises, assignments, homework and presentations. The innovation of Islamic religious education learning media in the Aceh MTsN Model also varies from manuals to digital media, from worksheets to e-learning media, and from classrooms to laboratories. Furthermore, the learning evaluation innovation in the Aceh MTsN Model consists of tests and non-tests; 2) The similarity of Islamic religious learning in both the Banda Aceh Model MTsN and the Gandapura Model MTsN in terms of curriculum enrichment lies in the use of the National curriculum standards. On the other hand, the difference lies in class grouping, where the Banda Aceh Model MTsN makes small groups and the Gandapura Model MTsN makes a package system.

Public Speaking is considered as an essential skill for University Students. Public speaking is having a speaker stand before the audience to deliver a speech in a structured manner, to either persuade, inform, or entertain the audience.This study aimed to reveal the extent of students’ skills in public speaking skill especially for persuasive and informative speech. This research was descriptive quantitative. Data were obtained from students' public speaking test of 58 English studentsat English Department University of Pasir Pengaraian and analyzed and described in qualitatively. The finding came up with encouraging numbers of results where a greater proportion of the samples reported significant number in good level of categories in assessing public speaking skill. More over, the result showed that the highest score of students’ in public speaking skill was in vocabularies and comprehension. Besides, it was indicated that the students gradually could express their thought and opinions smoothly in informative speech then persuasive speech.

Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic triggered the acceleration of the digitization of learning media. Media digitization could be done in the form of mobile learning applications that were in accordance with today's lifestyle. Learning media in the form of applications on mobile phone were expected to provide a meaningful learning experience so that students were not bored and the learning objectives were achieved maximally. However, in reality, not all teachers were ready and able to independently create digital learning media. This study aimed to develop a children's storybook application with the theme of Covid-19 to help children and teachers obtained learning media whose content was in accordance with current issues. This study used the Educational Design Research (EDR) model. The educational design research (EDR) model has stages 1) analysis and exploration; 2) design and construction; and 3) evaluation and reflection. From the results of expert validation, practitioners, and trials, a children's story book with the Covid-19 theme, named "Cerita corona" was successfully developed and met the eligibility criteria.

A social solidarity feeling formation in a national building takes the history education as a medium. A constructive learning model was applied to shape the social solidarity among the pupils in two public Senior High Schools in Eastern Aceh of Indonesia. Using Local hero figure of Aceh, that is Abdurrauf As Singkil as role model, this study got use Joseph Renzulli's The Enrichment Triad Model of the core activities. It has a strategic function in developing the soul and character of the nation and building a better future life. It deals with the curriculum design to foster students' attitudes to learning and problem for the knowledge gain process. Data obtained revealed that the planning stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The stage of history learning based on Manuscript of Abdurrauf As-Singkili as students’ Solidarity Enrichment encompasses 5 main activities and Joseph Renzulli's The Enrichment Triad Model of the core activities.

At this time the world is shocked by the outbreak of a disease caused by a virus called corona or better known as Covid-19 (Corona Virus diseases-19). This policy has a major impact on the wheels of human life, one of which has an impact in the field of higher education Especially in FKIP students of Riau University. This study aims to analyze the effect of the effectiveness of online learning as a result of covid-19 on student learning motivation in the FKIP environment of Riau University.This study was conducted to show the effect of the effectiveness of online learning on student motivation at FKIP Riau University. The Methodology in this study is a quantitative approach with multiple linear reggresions models. The sample is 615 student at FKIP Riau University. The research instrument was a closed questionnaire based on likert using google form. Hypothesis testing using t test dan f test. The results showed that learning effectiveness had a positive and significant effect of 75.4%. These results illustrate that during Covid-19 pandemic, online learning was effectively carried out in order to increase student learning motivation.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the GESAMSU (Gedrik Saruk Indeed Seru) game-based environment on students' mathematical communication skills. This research was conducted by 3rd-grade students at an Integrated Islamic Elementary School (IT) Nurul Islam Paramarta in Seputih Banyak District in Central Lampung, with a sample of 62 students in this study. This research method used Experiment with Control Group Design research type, using a random purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This study used an instrument in the form of an Essay test of mathematical communication skills. The results showed that the increase in students' mathematical communication skills who were taught by applying the Environmental-Based GESAMSU (Gedrik Saruk Indeed Seru) game was significantly higher than the increase in students' mathematical communication skills taught by conventional learning models. The average post-test score of the experimental class was higher than the post-test score of the control class, namely 85,96 and 60,63, both of which were in a different category.

This research aims to describe the planning, implementation, and obstacles in letter text learning using the Youtube video of Ruang Bahasa I.d channel in VII class of UPT SMP Negeri 3 Ponggok. The subjects of this research are students of class VII D UPT SMP Negeri 3 Ponggok, while the object of this research is the use of the Youtube channel of Ruang Bahasa I.d in letter text learning. This research used a qualitative descriptive design. The method used in collecting data is observation and interviews. For data analysis techniques, this research used the Miles and Huberman technique. The results showed that five letter text learning plans are using the Ruang Bahasa I.d, namely (1) reviewing the syllabus, (2) looking for learning media, (3) reviewing the media to be used, (4) making evaluation materials, and (5) making RPP. The implementation of learning has several stages, namely (1) opening, (2) doing apperception, (3) sending Youtube links, (4) viewing the video, (5) doing discussions, (7) the teacher providing affirmations and conclusions, and (7) the teacher closes the learning. The obstacles felt by the teacher were (1) some students did not have an internet quota, (2) teachers can't control students to view video seriously, (3) the students' responses were less than face-to-face learning, and (4) some students are late for class. However, despite many obstacles, the learning that has been carried out is better than learning that only uses modules.

This study aims to determine the competency needs of students in curriculum design to face the challenges of 21st-century education. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are postgraduate students at one of the private universities in Batu City who are currently pursuing masters and doctoral education. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis in this study consisted of several flow activities carried out together, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study conclude that student competencies that must be designed in the higher education curriculum to face the challenges of 21st-century education must pay attention to three aspects, including; creating new value, reconciling tensions and dilemmas, and responsibilities. So, the curriculum framework that must be made includes cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, and practical skills. The results of this study also have implications for the understanding of higher education related to the development of human life and science, because the curriculum created can meet student competencies in the future
