Abstract

Public service can be interpreted as a form of service, either in the form of public goods and public services, which in principle be the responsibility of and implemented by Government agencies, Central, Regional, and in Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) or Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD). According to Mayor of malang in the year 2019 says that in the system of government of Malang City to Smart City Services declared left far behind if compared with the other city whose already implementing the smart city. Based on the statement that Malang has not implemented optimally of smart city services where the use of such services can facilitate the wider community to get information and services through technological devices. At this time, in various big cities in Indonesia has been contribute in the implementation of the empowerment of the Smart City where the era of technologically as the current technology exist side by side with human life that can help day to day activities.Based on the results of the analysis can be taken a positive side as a step to delivery of public services to the community, where that community can be more easy and practical when people want to get public administration or service such as management letters and other important information, so in the manifest can be done by using a smartphone app or mobile apps for service information public of Malang City that can be accessed without limitations of place and time of the user. In the design interactive design mobile apps which are oriented to user and stakeholders can use the Methods of HCD (Human-Centered Design) with four stages that analyze the context of the user, determine user needs, create design solutions, and evaluation of design solutions. At the evaluation stage, testing was carried out with 15 respondents who had adjusted their characteristics and obtained an effectiveness aspect of 93%, and efficiency aspect of 92.21%, and a satisfaction aspect using the SUS (System Usability Scale) questionnaire of 79.67.

Abstract

Stream processing is becoming essential of IoT stack to increase the values and benefits for the organization. Along with the growth in streaming data, centralized architecture will cause large delays for providing service. To solve this problem, additional resources or machines in the cluster are needed to maintain processing performance. This research proposes to develop a distributed IoT data stream processing platform using Spark Streaming. Throughput and latency show high results, 321.4 records/s and 13.3 seconds, if the amount of data processed is less than the available resources.While the system capability scenario of up to 12 seconds of batch interval shows the highest throughput and latency, 2112.4 records/s and 5.93 seconds. Furthermore, the fault tolerance scenario shows that 6 nodes can process faster with 60 seconds. Spark Streaming also shows the ability to use distributed resources efficiently by showing CPU and memory usage across all nodes having no significant differences. The average difference in memory and CPU usage at each node is 3.6% and 2.04%.

Abstract

Ibnu Sina Mosque, located in Malang City, has a mosque management organization which consist of takmir and remaja masjid that aims to build a mosque that is comfortable for the community to use. Many activities carried out by mosque management organization are related to routine worship activities and spiritual activities that require physical assets to support them. However, there is a problem with the information on assets owned by the mosque which could potentially cause obstruction of mosque activities due to unknown asset conditions. The absence of information on mosque assets can also lead to waste because the proposed purchase of goods is not managed so that it can lead to repurchasing of items already owned by the mosque. Based Ibnu Sina Mosque's problems on asset information, this study aims to build a physical asset information system that can facilitate mosque management in managing assets owned by the mosque. With the physical asset information system, it is hoped that the mosque management can use the information system to implement better mosque physical asset management. The physical asset information system developed with waterfall approach on web-based system with Laravel framework that based on PHP programming laguange to facilitate easier access and further development of the information system of the Ibnu Sina Mosque. The results of the validation test on the physical asset information system of the Ibnu Sina Mosque give good results with some feedback records from users and the compatibility test results show good compatibility on most web browsers available for the desktop version.

Abstract

Situbondo Tera' is a portal application of the Situbondo Regency Government that can be accessed by the public. Based on the researcher's experiment and interviews with the developer the application is still not running optimally and has never been evaluated. This study uses 3 methods, those are Usability Testing, Cognitive Walkthrough, and Heuristic Evaluation to find usability problems and see the comparison of the problems obtained from each method. The study used 10 respondents on Usability Testing, 10 respondents on Cognitive Walkthrough, and 3 experts on the Heuristic Evaluation method. From the analysis it is known that total of 41 problems were found. The Usability Testing method found 27% of the total problems with an average of 2.4 problems per respondent. The Cognitive Walkthrough method found 29% of the total problems with an average finding of 3.7 problems per respondent. Meanwhile, the Heuristic Evaluation method found 44% of the total problems with an average finding of 8 problems per evaluator. There were 8 similar problems found and almost all of them appeared in 3 methods at once so that it needed special attention. The results of the Usability Testing method got an average value of 95% effectiveness, 88.32% efficiency, and the satisfaction gets 5.76 from scale 1 to 7. In the Cognitive Walkthrough method, it was known that the problems that often arise were minor and most types of the problems come from Text and Icon (T) and User (U). The Heuristic Evaluation method found problems that were spread across all 9 heuristic principles.

Abstract

Malang City Library is a public library located in Malang, East Java. To support its infrastructure regarding information and communication systems, this library utilizes mobile library as a media that is used to disseminating hospital-related information to general public. This study is focused to assess the level of usability of Malang City Library mobile library application. The methods that were used in this study are firstly testing the task directly to the user to measure aspects of learnability, efficiency, and errors and distributing the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire to measure aspects of satisfaction. This study involved 30 respondents who were divided into categories of students, university students, and the general public. To analyze the data of the task testing results used success rate matrix to measure the level of learnability and obtained results of 71.4%. The efficiency aspect is measured using a time-based efficiency matrix which then gets a result of 0.0428215 task / s from nine tasks. For aspects of errors measured using the defective rate matrix which then obtained an average of nine tasks of 0.513. The last aspect is satisfaction that was tested using SUS questionnaire and obtained results of 20.67, from these outcomes it is concluded that the satisfaction status of Malang City Library mobile library application is still included in the bad category. In addition, this research also resulted in improvements to the interface design based on the problems found.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) have one goal to equip students in dealing with the world of work / industry. Subjects that support the objectives of the Vocational High School (SMK) are Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN). State Vocational High School 2 Malang has a problem that is the absence of technology that can help in the process of Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN) to monitor the problems faced by students during Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN). In practice, the supervisor of the internship program only monitors students about two weeks or once a month which is done manually. This makes it difficult for schools to monitor and find out the obstacles or problems faced by students while attending industrial work activities. The purpose of this study is to facilitate the school to monitoring the problems faced by students while participating in the internship activities using a website-based application. For the development model of the monitoring application, the problem of industrial work practice students using the Evolutionary Prototype. Stages in developing the application of monitoring the problems of students who are prakerin are requirement analysis, design system, implementation system and testing. The results of the development of monitoring apprenticeship students' problems have four users namely admin of SMK Negeri 2 Malang, Teacher Guidance, Field Guidance and Students. The features of the student monitoring application Industrial work practices consist of registers, logins, logouts, user management, group management, student management practices, see student offenders, manage violations, export violations, manage solutions, export solutions. Application testing uses 2 methods, namely black-box testing and user acceptance testing. Black-box testing to find out all the functionalities that have been made are valid and can run well. While user acceptance testing is conducted on 4 respondents with details of 1 respondent as admin, 1 respondent as supervisor, 1 respondent as field supervisor and 1 respondent as student of industrial work practices. User acceptance testing to get feedback directly from each respondent. The results of user acceptance testing to 4 respondents obtained 100% results answered Yes so that applications can be accepted as needed.

Abstract

Coffee cultivation in Indonesia is still done by very traditional methods, like wise in determination of its quality level by sorting it out still done by human operators by considering its size and density, which means determination of coffee bean's quality level is very depended on the operator's ability, so that is susceptible to mistakes and non-technical factors that accompany it. The quality level of coffee bean itself is divided to 6 grades that is grade 1 to grade 6 for each variant. One of the methods that can be done to ease determination of the quality of coffee beans is by processing its image by extracting texture feature by using Local Ternary Patterns(LTP) method, color feature with HSV and RGB Color Moment, and utilizing classification algorithm Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ). This method is considered as a breakthrough in coffee bean's grade determination because the cost is cheaper but still gives decent results considered in a relatively short time. In this study, the image data used is as many as 150 data with 30 data on grade 1 through 5 because the data availability was not up to grade 6. This study results a system that was able to classify the quality of coffee beans with an accuracy rate of 84,4%. Two of the entered quality cases were successfully predicted with 100% correctness, namely grade 1 and 5.

Abstract

Currently the face-to-face learning process can no longer be carried out due to the 2019 coronavirus disease (covid-19) pandemic which has spread in Indonesia. The spread of Covid-19 has a major impact, especially on the education sector. The temporary closure of educational institutions is an effort to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Merek also experienced the same thing, most of whom were unfamiliar with the use of technology. Habits in the face-to-face learning process make teachers experience many obstacles in teaching online. Some teachers when they try to use technology for the first time are successful, but they forget to repeat the same thing on a different day. This descriptive study is expected to produce an explanation of the results of the analysis based on the exploration carried out. Exploration is carried out by means of interviews to explore teacher experiences during the online distance learning process. The results of the interviews with seven resource persons were then made transcripts and analyzed by thematic coding, in order to obtain the appropriate theme / categorization. It is hoped that this research will produce documentation that can be used to find out what was experienced by the teachers and what technology was used during the online distance learning process. Based on the research that has been done, teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Merek use whatsapp and classroom applications.

Abstract

According to the Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health, the government is obliged to provide access to information, education, and health service facilities to the public. One effort that can be done by the government is to present health data to the public so that they can educate and increase the awareness regarding the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Along with efforts to develop the smart city concept, Dinkes together with Kominfo, has provided health data through Malang City health profile and Malang City Open Data site. However, the data displayed is difficult for the public to understand. Therefore, it is necessary to devise an interaction design for the development of information systems based on a mobile app to make it more flexible and convenient for users to access. The design process in this study was carried out by applying the Human-Centered Design, which focuses on users and stakeholders. In the evaluation process, testing was carried out using the Remote Usability Testing technique by 21 evaluators and using the System Usability Scale questionnaire. The results of this test are a percentage value of 92% in the aspect of effectiveness and 91% in the aspect of efficiency. In the aspect of satisfaction, the value obtained is 75.71 with the title 'Acceptable' and get a C grade included in the 'Good' category of adjective ratings.

Abstract

The use of applications installed on smartphones, especially Android, is currently very much used by a Muslim or Muslimah to support prayer activities. One of them is a reminder application for prayer. However, most application reminders are intended only for prayer that is compulsory while the sunnah prayer activities are still relatively small. Another disadvantage is that the application is not able to automatically provide reminders to users that are adjusted to the location, time and activity of the user whether they have performed the prayer or not. For that we need a context-aware concept that is expected to be able to optimize the reminder function so that the application can provide reminders according to user activities. By utilizing context information in the form of location, time, identity and activity of the user through the sensors that are on the smartphone, the application can find out whether the user has carried out prayer or not. Sensors that can be utilized include GPS sensors, proximity sensors, light sensors and accelerometer sensors. The level of efficiency of the use of the application was tested using usability testing and it was found that SUS score of 74 included in good qualifications and success, then in compatibility testing the Sunnah prayer reminders application can run smoothly and there was no error in the Android operating system Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, and Oreo.
