In Indonesia, cervical cancer is ranked first as the cause of death to women. The government has implemented an early detection program of cervical cancer in controlling cervical cancer by using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA). Indonesian women's awareness to perform early detection is still very low with coverage of early detection of cervical cancer which is less than 5%. The Health Belief Model (HBM) is used to forecast health enhancement behavior that is based on individual behavior determined by the individual's motives and beliefs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Health Belief Model (HBM) which included perceived of susceptibility, perceived of severity, perceived of benefits, perceived of threats, perceived of barriers and cues to act on VIA test participation. This type of research was observational analytics. The design used was case control. The sample in this study were 64 cases and 64 controls, selected by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the result of research, there was an influence of perceived of susceptibility on participation with t value = 4.417 (>1.96). Perceived of benefit affected participation with t value = 11.647 (>1.96). Keywords: Perceived susceptibility, Perceived severity, Perceived threat, Perceived benefit, Perceived barrier, Cues to action, VIA test

This study discussed about the evaluation of massage influence on 3 to 5-months-old baby in Tawanganom, Magetan 2017. This research was analytical research by Quasy Experimental design in form of nonequivalent control group design with population of 20 babies who were massaged and not massaged. This study used sample of total population. Independent variable was massage for baby, while, dependent variable was baby’s weight by using ratio scale. The instrument of data collection used weight scale for baby in grams. Moreover, the statistical test that was used was independent sample T-Test. The results showed that the average of baby’s weight which the baby was massaged had a greater increase rather than non-massaged baby. The result of independent t-test was obtained p-value = 0.000 (<0.05). Thus, there was a significant influence of infant massage against baby’s weight gain of 3-5 months-old babies. Moreover, it could be concluded that there was a significant influence of infant massage against baby’s weight gain which the babies were 3-5 months old. Therefore, it was recommended for either families or mothers to massage their own baby, thus, their baby’s growth could be optimal. Keywords: Infant massage, Baby’s weight

Background Blood glucose levels are a critical factor for maintaining the bodywork. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to abnormalities of insulin secretion and insulin work or both. One of Indonesia's native plants that are suspected of potentially as an antidiabetic is Langsat (Lansium domesticum L.). Empirically, this plant has been used by Maluku community as an antimalarial drug, but there was no scientific report on the utilization of this plant extract as an antihiperglicemia drug. Objective This research was conducted to determine the effect of the infusion cortex of langsat (Lansium domesticum L.) to decrease blood glucose in diabetic rat models.Method Twenty five of Wistar malerats aged 6-8 weeks, weighing 180-200 grams were used in this study. Subjects were induced with Alloxan 110 mg/kgbw. Subjects were grouped into five groups, namely; 1) 10 g/kgbw of the infusion cortex of langsat group, 2) 20 g /kgbw of the infusion cortex of langsat group, and 3) 30 g/kgbw of the infusion cortex of langsat group 4) diabetes group, and 5) control group. The Infusion was given for ± 21 days and blood glucose examination was conducted before and after this tretment. Results There was a significant decrease in blood glucose levels in the 10 g/kgbw, 20 g/kgbw, 30 g/kgbw of the infusion cortex of langsat groups (p<0.05). Best effects offered by 30g/kgbw dose. Conclusion: Infusion cortex of langsat (Lansium domesticum L.) to decrease blood glucose levels in hyperglycemic conditions rats induced by Alloxan. The most effective dose to lower blood glucose levels was 30 g/kgbw. Keywords: Diabetic, Blood glucose, Cortex of langsat (Lansium domesticum L.)

Fifty percent of maternal deaths occur within the first 24 hours of delivery. Furthermore, 30 percent of the population still practices traditional treatments for a mother in their postpartum period. Timor tribe in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) has culturally distinctive practices for a mother in their postpartum period, called as tatobi and panggang. These two practices put the health at serious risk. For this reason the present research aims to further investigate such cultural practices of the Timor concerning the postpartum care (tatobi and panggang) in Bello village, Maulafa distric. This present research was qualitative employing phenomenological research design. The sample was determined by employing purposive sampling method. The results show that the mother, during their postpartum period, chose to do tatobi and panggang because such practices are believed to be able to help the mother for the post-pregnancy recovery. However, in the actual practices they often caused excessive bleeding leading to a higher risk of suffering from infections and postpartum anemia. Some conclusions can be drawn; such cultural practices, tatobi and panggang, are seriously risky for the postnatal mother, but they are beneficial, on the other hand, to improve blood circulation and promote exclusive breast milk.
